I have been a customer for 4 years and under the impression that I was covered including electronic and powertrain. Well I found out differently today. My limitations were not explained to me at time of enrollment with CarShield. I was charged $300.00 today for diagnostic time only. Nothing was repaired because carshield did not honor what I thought I had coverage on. Very big disappointment after 4 years when I finally made a claim to be denied. I was not aware I will reevaluate my confidence with Car Shield.

It's the smartest decision I've ever made to get Car Shield and worth every penny. I tell anyone who will listen if you keep your maintenance up the have no problem sending a inspector out to verify the repairs need and keep you updated with their findings. A lot of bad reviews have been posted about them. But if you do your part they will do theirs.

I had a financial problem of fraud where my bank account was put on hold. After contacting a CarShield representative they helped me and gave me time to correct the problem. Then when I got a new account I called and they took care of me.

I have the Diamond Coverage, overall it's a very good package. I had an electrical issue with my CTS, a taillight short circuit! It was not covered under my warranty. The Dealership took advantage of the opportunity to inflate the cost ( Commission Based)!, instead of a turn signal bulb for $5, it cost me $1905 out of pocket for a complete turn signal unit... Allegedly!

I am still waiting for a response. The place I took my truck to get fixed has told me they submitted the claim 2 times. I have spoken to Car Shield repasenitives 2 times my self and all they say is they don't know and it takes 2 to 3 days. The shop put the 1st claim in on 11-20-25 it is now 11-28-25 and still no answer from you.

The party whom I had called and was told what was wrong with my vehicle was approved to be worked on. The inspector who we reached out to didnt even call the Les Schwab folks back until I got his number. I was told to go get a rental car and it was pricey. But the inspector was pushing it till after Thanskgiving for my vehicle to be serviced. Well he showed up on Monday then I get a call telling me we won't fix it. So im out of money first and foremost for rental expenses then get left in the cold with my car still not being fixed even though we checked before I took it to Les Schwab to see if it were coverable. Which it was stated to be. The inspector didnt return the calls made back to him by Les Schwab. I ended up calling cause I wanted to know because it was more money to rent the car I was in especially since I had it till Weds. This has left a sore taste in my mouth to make it worst Carshield hurriedly took their monthly payment from me after all this happening. I feel like the inspector basically screwed me on purpose to not pay because maybe someone got on him so he denied the work being done after the approval was already exclaimed. He basically said that it was leaking but their is air as well in the strut well how does that happen if the electronic part controlling the strut doesnt fail first which causes for the leak being done. But hey I feel ripped off and will be calling to cancel my plan. Such a dishearting thing to pay for monthly and be treated so poorly

They covered most of the repair BUT there were some very weird exclusions like turbocharger pipes (they would cover the replacement of a turbo but not the related pipes and gaskets) and it took, in my opinion, too long for the evaluator to check out the requested repairs and OK them. Also, they will not pay for factory Ford parts but they will pay for cheaper third party parts. They will also provide genuine Ford parts for less than the dealer can get them for, but what dealer will allow that? That said, they did save me a decent amount of money.

I have the Platinum plan.
It was supposed to cover the engine.
Engine light was coming on. I talked w/Car shield and even though the engine light was on they said it falls under emission? I also had 2 turn signals that need to be fixed.
Now the bill would be around 400 (for the turn signals) they wouldn't cover hardly any of it.
The engine issue will be close to 700. Which I will have to pay.
I know i should be grateful for any help. However, you pay all this money in, and you don't really get anything back in return. This is very frustrating! I will keep Car Shield until the car goes. It is a 2008. But I will look for another when I get a different car. I gave the review a 3 Star only because they paid for some of it. It would have been a 2.

After years of paying, I finally felt protected and confident. When my engine started smoking, I took the car to a participating mechanic. After several inspections by Car Shield, they confirmed my car was under recall or something, and I had no choice but to make arrangements with the mechanic. I kept trying to reach them, and after multiple conversations, my mechanic also reached out, explaining the situation. They kept doing tests, really trying to deny the claim. Horrible experience—seeing these celebrities claim how helpful they are makes me want to throw up.

Well about 3 weeks ago the handle on the inside of the driver's door broke off and i called car shield to see if that part was covered and it wasn't. But I'm still glad that i have an account with car shield because other parts are covered! :)

I was contacted by a very pleasant CarShield Administrator who politely informed me that my bank card on file had expired. CarShield's service is so seamless that I totally forgot to update my account's payment method when I received my new card. I was so happy to receive the call; it's like having a guardian angel. In a few moments, I was able to update my information with the CarShield Administrator... again, seamless. CarShield makes retaining their services so easy and user-friendly.
