After being a loyal and appreciative customer for years, I have decided to end my relationship with Chico's.
They HAD the most stylish and well made clothing I had purchased in my life time. Yup, I am older but Chico's clothing made me feel beautiful. Their designs were well suited for the office and casual wears and the lovely models they used always showed the clothes to their advantage. Customer service was superior.
Now, customer service has resorted to generic responses and no longer addresses inquiries with a direct response, but a ridiculous scripted narrative, apologizing and suggesting that one try there other entities such as Soma.
Quality and styles are now comparable to less expensive markets and the prices do not equal the quality. I'm done.
I have not been happy with the feel and quality of the materials used in Chico's apparel in the last five years. I just bought online and have returned an alluring gray and orange tweed shawl. It looked soft, warm, pliable. It arrived promptly but turned out to be thin material, almost rough to the touch, not offering much warmth, though it draped nicely. It just felt cheap. And though I did buy it ar 40% off (I would never have paid full price, it was well over $100) even on the sale price it felt far too pricey for what it was. I have returned it.
I really like the styles at Chico's. My business is office causal and this store provides the perfect styles for me to be casual and professional. I am a dark skin woman and was excited to finally see a store that seemed to notice women like me. It appears this was not common practice with Chico's not so long ago. I've never seen so many dark people advertised and it's wonderful, but, don't forget to supply clothing to compliment all shades of beautiful. Make sure to capture all of us!
I returned an item that I ordered because it was "ill fitting." Not too large or too small, but the cut was weird. Three weeks after returning it, I finally got the credit: 1/3 of what I'd paid for it, which was already on sale! Obviously the product was flawed if they had to mark it down that much, but then for sure I should have been refunded what I paid for it, out of good will. None of that (good will) at Chico's, and not much great inventory anymore, either. This store is going downhill fast.
There have been the same tops on sale on their website for quite a long time. But recently received postcard offering 40% off entire purchase. Great? NO. They removed the sale items and marked them retail price to absorb their 40% sales postcard. Nasty company. Their outlet stores in Orlando carry old merchandise that has been there for at least 2 years. There are only a couple of their retail stores in the Orlando area and 2 of them have very nasty sales people who disappear and do not help you. The are always out of sizes. I would not be caught dead in some of their selections. They make you look older than you are! Horrible! The President, Ms Broader, needs help to get these stores rolling. Horrible!
I really appreciate the rapid and completely satisfactory service by Carolyn at Arlington Highlands Chico's in Arlington Texas. She helped me find several items in appropriate sizes just a few hours before my holiday, and I had so little time to spare. She was so pleasant and helpful through out my shopping experience!
I use to spend hundreds of dollars every few months, not any more. They have changed not only their models which does not reflect 64 years old, slightly overweight, with a flair of sophistication. They are obviously marketing to a different clientele.
I returned some items for exchange because I had used a discount code and didn't want to pay full price for the replacement items. Despite clear instructions on the return form allowing exchanges, and fully complying with those instructions, refunds were issued instead of exchange. Multiple emails have gone unanswered. I finally just ordered the replacement items again because despite the problems, the clothes are cute.
I have been a long time customer of Chicos.
I purchase a Faux leather off white jacket
Never worn & still has price tag paid $159.+tax jacket was in closet next to real leather black & somehow has black blotches
All over off white jacket.
Called customer service which was awful
Not helpful at all due to I didn't have receipt
Any longer. Chicos quality of clothes has changed. Doing my shopping at J. Jill now.
Once you know your size Chicos sizing is pretty consistent Clothes are fairly high priced but they have many wonderful sales that make their prices good my big negative is that they charge $7.00 for returns by mail most websites are free also, it takes about 10 days for a return to go from MD to GA and a refund credited. Thinking twice about buying there again
Answer: I'm not sure what Chico items you are talking about, but the majority are made with a material that easily washes and doesn't need ironing. In fact, you can pack a lot of their clothes and take them right out of the suitcase and wear. Maybe you are not buying the correct tops that go with your body. I would suggest when you go in the store is ask for assistance. They have shoppers for their customers that coordinate outfits and can pick out clothes that will look amazing on your body. Try that and then see how you feel about their clothes. I know I sound like I work for them, but I don't. I'm just a frequent customer that loves their clothes and sales and what their clothes do to my body.
Answer: Its pretty easy. Just call. But sometimes you will be on hold for awhile.
Answer: The fit seemed good until I wore them once. They stretched out so much and so fast that I was pulling them up all day. It was so uncomfortable and I contacted them to see if I could exchange or get a credit and they would not do it.
