My shopping experience with ChicWish was seamless. The website is well-designed, making it easy to navigate through their extensive collection. I was particularly drawn to the unique styles they offer, which stand out from typical fast fashion. Their product descriptions are detailed, and the size guide was incredibly helpful in ensuring I picked the right fit. Plus, I appreciated their frequent sales, which made it more budget-friendly.
I placed an order on 8/31. I heard nothing until 9/28 asking if I had received my order. I waited the 48 hours to respond letting them know I have NOT received it. I got an email back telling me that one of my items is out of stock. I asked when it would arrive and they said between "7-10 working days for restocking. And it takes 10-12 working days for package to be delivered after it's sent out". So basically I'm waiting for TWO MONTHS for something that never said it was out of stock upon ordering. Definitely would not recommend unless you don't care how many months it takes to receive an item (if it ever comes).
I have found that the returns process is very difficult & time consuming.
Found there was no personal contact to help.

My sweater just arrived and I'm looking forward to wearing it. It's such a cheerful pink that will look great paired with anything, while also keeping me warm.
There are currency conversion fees that are not disclosed during the checkout and purchasing process. My home currency (AUD) was selected prior to adding items to my cart and checking-out. I ordered 9 items that came to a total of $303.46 (shipping included and a discount code applied). When I looked at my bank statement and I was charged $406.76! Turns out prices are in USD. That should never happen without notice of foreign transaction / currency conversion fees.
There were multiple back and forward emails with *******@chicwish.com during which I respectfully provided multiple records of evidence and raised my concerns, but I only received brief generic replies.
Only after following through on my warning that I would report the unethical ‘Price Dripping' practice to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) and Scamwatch did a get a genuine reply where Dan Zhu from Chicwish admitted it was a 'system showing problem'. So, they know it's an issue and they overcharge people anyway. I can only assume their strategy is that you'll get fed-up and they'll get to keep your money. Dishonest and disappointing.
Now let's wait and see what kind of quality product arrives…

I was worried it would be a cheap chinese knockoff, but the quality exceeded my expectations. I got the Classic Simplicity A-Line Midi Skirt in Blue. It is perfect for my cosplay.

The sizing needs to be more accurate. European and US customers are used to their sizing being uniform, XXL is not a UK 14!

I saw so many adds on Instagram for these clothing items. I went online to try to find out if this site was a scam or fake, but it is not. I was able to find several influencers who purchased Chicwish pieces as well. I would say the only downside is the high price $$ and the time it takes to ship out. My order came from China and took 23 days during the pandemic. I was impressed that the order even came! I LOVE all of the pieces I ordered, they are gorgeous! I ordered two skirts (pink tulle and watercolor purple) and a lace top and the sunset ombre dress. (I totally made up the names of these items because I don't want to go back to the website, haha). I purchased them all for graduation photos and traveling this summer, however, both of those are not happening. So I literately dressed up and wore them for pictures anyway. They look gorgeous in photos too!
The lace tops run small, but the material is great quality, detailed, and good color! I purchased the pink tulle skirt; it is double-layered, not too poofy, fits snug, and very comfortable. The watercolor skirt is gorgeous, does not look washed out, it is a little longer than expected even with 2-inch wedges. I love the sunset ombre colored dress the best! It is not too long, the colors are so vibrant. I think it will look great with a jean jacket and sandals for downtown or nude heels to dress up.
