Chrono24 is a great way to find the timepiece you're looking for at a great price. Their search function works really well, they provide a lot of information about the timepieces offered (usually including several pictures), and it's a secure way to purchase authentic timepieces. I've purchased two watches so far, both transactions were a great experience. Will definitely be buying more on Chrono24!
Figure out something re: duty fees.
Not a problem to pay the fee, but the problem if an expensive watch is delayed at the border.
How about collecting these fees yourself and pay to US treasure department.

Chronos 24 was a real mystery to me before I bought my first watch and I was very apprehensive. As iIt turns out my original purchase didn't keep the correct time. I contacted them and the dealer and everything worked just the way they said it would.
The dealer was apologetic and offered to fix it but I wasn't interested...I wanted a refund and chrono24 was right on top of it. They initiated the return and credited my CC in a timely fashion. I would definitely buy another watch from them!
I have made a couple transactions on Chrono24 and all have been pleasant. In both cases I walked away with some pretty nice vintage pieces. That being said, I feel most issues can be resolved by doing your due diligence as a buyer. Research the seller. Do they have a stand alone business? What have people said about them on forums? Do they have a social media presence? Ask questions first. Personally, I use chrono24 for seldom seen pieces that just don't really come up elsewhere, in which case they become the only source. If I were looking for a modern used piece, I would likely gravitate elsewhere.

Chrono24 need to be more transparent and upfront about there being no protection when buying from a private seller.
Unfortunately I did and am now out of pocket for a significant sum of money. Had they been honest I would never have made the purchase.
All they have done since is waste my time and effectively side with the fraudster seller.

This was the first time I used the Chrono24 system, and I will say it meets expectations as a broker between customers and venders. The product description was almost if not quite 100% accurate, the only disappointment was the product warranty was not as expected. I am planning on using Chrono24 again for hard-to-obtain items no longer offered directly by the manufacturer.
I have used Chrono24 four times for my luxury watch purchases, and the platform is great place to find dealers that offer a wide selection of brands, models, new and used, and offerings with and without manufacturer's warranty items. The trusted check-out option adds a layer of security esp. For these type of high value purchases, and I have used it for all my transactions. Dealers seem engaged and responsive most of the time. I don't fault Chrono24 for this, but I would recommend shoppers to also keep an eye on prices outside of the Chrono24 platform as at times dealers have higher prices for certain models and brands.
First time using Chrono24, and the company is as sleek as the web site. Thanks to previous multiple mostly positive reviews and a very favorable article in the Financial Times, I took the plunge! I am very careless when I spend $50, but very cautious when its $5,000 or more! Without the escrow service I would have never taken such a chance! Turns out the Dealer was impeccable, and Chrono24, web description very extensive and precise! The check out super easy with e-mails to keep me in the loop of the various "stages" of the transaction. Highly recommended!
I bought a classic pilot watch on Chrono24. It was my first purchase from an online dealer. I used their escrow service and the dealer gets paid after you receive the watch. Worked all fine, would recommend!

The 14-day escrow with a return guarantee from Chrono24 makes it easier for the buyer and genuine sellers to get a fair transaction completed. That said, 6% fee is a bit steep and needs to be capped at a certain dollar amount.
