I think Chrono24 is one of the best options if you're looking to buy watches online. They verify every dealer on the platform and secure transactions guaranteed. It's a good and trusty online marketplace that offers a wide selection of new and pre-owned watches.
The 6.5% selling fee is too high and makes it not worth it to use chrono24 to sell watches when there are a number of free forums and other places who charge no fee or a much lower fee. I will stop using chrono24 because of this.
In shopping for this Rolex, I visited a lot of watch sites. Chrono24 had the best search functionality, and the best selection of watches that exactly met my specs. I really like that they use an escrow system for the payment... you don't release it until you have the item in hand.
My bank balked at the purchase price and foreign transaction, locking down my card, so I had an entire mess going on with my end of the transaction. I contacted Chrono24 and they took over, making sure the watch was reserved and we were all on the same page until I could straighten it out with my bank and the escrow went through. I only had to worry about my end, and they made the rest easy.
I purchased two Seiko Presage watches from dealers in Japan and both were perfectly received as described, Brand new condition, papers, box. Each arrived extremely quick. Four days from ordering for one and a harder to get one in nine days delivered.
It is a no risk transaction and the communications between Chronograph, the sellers and myself was prompt.
I have absolute trust in Chron and am extremely happy with the whole process.
The amount of detail, thoroughness, and interaction, was more than I expected (all good things!) The seller was fantastic as well. Completely unware and totally surprised of how much valuable information is at your fingertips. Let's not forget the other tools available to help anyone become that watch enthusiast and collector that we all dream to be!

May be, as an improvement, should be good to express when sellers don't provide responses to questions. This is a minimum that should highly impact their rating.
Chrono offer a well priced marketplace with some safe guards such as escrow payment to the seller which protects the buyer until the watch is delivered. One can also make an offer on the price and come to an agreement with the seller. Chrono24 does also communicate regularly with the buyer.
Cons are that watch authenticity isn't verified by Chrono24 and the 14 day guarantee on this doesn't really mean anything when most watch houses take a lot longer to validate a watch. I'm not sure what would happen if the watch was found to be a fake after this period. Communication from the seller can also be a bit hit and miss.
Overall I would use again.

This was the first time that I used Chrono24 and so far the experience has been very pleasant. It was easy to use the website and I was glad to find the watch that had been looking for. Everything appeared to be as represented on the website. The dealer package the watch very nicely and it arrived in very nice shape. As with everything, especially a watch, it's hard to tell the internal workings, but from the outside and exterior appearance, all looks as I had hoped and expected.
I am thrilled with this app and the user experience! Came into the app with very little knowledge and left with a watch for me and tons of stuff I am interested in! Thrilled to get my watch exactly as described and can't wait for the next watch! I would highly recommend this app to anyone looking to do watches and the app is easy and has a great layout. I have looked at the Chrono24 website for awhile. Then after researching many selling websites I tried them for a purchase. Couldn't be happy. Put me in contact with sellers from all over the world. I have talked with numerous sellers, and they all were prompt in getting back to me with answers to my questions or counteroffers to offers. I successfully found my desired watch at a great mutually agreed upon price. Even buying an extra band for this rare limited edition watch!
I have bought three Rolex watches through the Chrono24 website and have been impressed with their thoroughness and with the rating system they have set up to rate sellers and, at the same time, to provide their buyers with some security about a major purchase. All three of my purchases, through "Trusted Sellers" have worked out great! I also like the followup used by Chrono24 to make sure the buyer has a chance to rate the seller.
Bought a used watch which arrived in mechanically broken condition. I made a request to return the watch immediately after receiving it. Seller put on the heavy handed tactics to pressure me to release the escrow money and Chrono24 acted only in the sellers interest.
Chrono 24 even went so far as to accuse me of trying to scam a free watch!
Do NOT feel protected as a buyer by the claims of an honest, unbiased escrow system. Chrono24 does not want to protect it's buyers and sellers, only its sellers. I should have believed all of those other 1 star reviews.

Announced with 4-6 weeks of delivery due to covid situation, I finally received the watches almost 4 months after payment.
No informations received if not asked (always a reply to my email but no spontaneous communication).
Overall Ok as the price is good and the product is as good as in an AD store but be careful if your on a tight schedule (birthday present a bit late, etc.).
Trustworthy intermediary for buying(selling?) watches. I appreciated the escrow service which is very helpful considering the amount of money which changes hands. What would have been helpful is some more information about the way some sellers obtain their watches and what impact this may have on warranty and servicing(parallel import/export, use of 'official dealer' in the background).
The watch arrived in great shape, as described. The process did take a little time, since it was shipped from Japan and had to clear customs, duties collected, etc. However, it wasn't terribly long. The watch was worth the wait.
I was searching for an out of production Omega Planet Ocean. I did a search on Crono24 and they had several listed. Ended up buying from a watch dealer in Japan. I had never purchased a watch from overseas before. The price was great and the dealer was great. They answered all my questions and gave me 3 days to decide on the purchase. After I paid they shipped promptly and the watch was better than described and packaged perfectly. The paperwork was done professionally which allowed the customs process to go smoothly. Overall great experience.
I had been looking for a specific model of watch for a couple years. I found it on Chrono24 and it was a very good price. The transaction was perfect, the seller was extremely responsive, the watch arrived quickly, was as described new with all packaging, and most importantly it was exactly what I wanted. Very satisfied.
The only hiccup was caused by my bank automatically flagging the purchase as suspicious because Chrono24 uses a non-U.S. Bank. After calling my bank they removed the hold and everything else went smoothly. I will purchase from Chrono24 again, but in the future I will notify my bank in advance to warn them of an impending foreign money transfer.
