I wouldn't recommend coinbase to my worst enemy! Customer support doesn't exist. I've sold my bitcoins and having major problems retrieving my cash. STAY AWAY FROM COINBASE!

I have a history of traumatic experiences trying to access my account. While they pretend they want you to access your account, they block you every inch of the way with their ai programmed to non be able to verify your name, address and electrical bill? When they have my profile and money and they know my info!?

Yu cannot believe how this constant whirlwind of pretend security protocols have wore me out... its only on the 2 nd an 3rd that i realized they are psychos abusing of their power.
While they do this they keep asking you questions to harvest info.

They are sik bastards parasiting on the crypto industry. After all these attempts they just blocked me from sending them a request to transfer my funds... lately they pretend they can't accept the login password that I CUT AND PASTE INTO the page TO SUBMIT MY NOTE TO THEM.
THEY PROGRAMMED THEIR F AI TO BLOCK ME EVERYWHERE.
I AM LOOKING FOR PLACE WHERE THEY CAN BE EXPOSED FOR SUCH OBVIOUS UNSAFE EXCHANGE TO DEAL WITH YOUR PRECIOUS MONEY.

I was told that CoinBase was the most established and best exchange for Crypto.
After full completing my account verification and linking my Wells Fargo Bank account, I tried to make my first BitCoin purchase. For some untold reason, the screen said my purchase was limited to $35,000 even though the linked account had $640,000 in cash available. I tried making a $25K purchase, but got a message saying my purchase was declined and to try again. I tried again and got the same declined message.
There is no way to talk to a representative at CoinBase, nor do they have a "chat" line available. I had to send a complicated message through their website and it took 24hours to get a response. They said they'd fixed everything and that I could now make purchases. However the price of BitCoin had gone up $5,000 in the meantime. I was able to make a $10K purchase, but immediately after, I was shut down again.
I checked with Wells Fargo and they said there was not issue on their end.
I sent another message to Coinbase. Again, after 24 hours, I got another automated message saying my account was ready to go and I was cleared to make purchases.
However, it wasn't true. The website would NOT let me make purchases of any crypto currency at any price – even $50.
Coinbase appears to be an automated system catering to small time investors.
They charge 1.49% commission on all purchases plus they build-in and additional 0.5% markup on the stated price of each currency, plus they charge a transaction fee.
For all these charges, one would expect a high level of customer service, which is absent.
I'd warn any serious investor against doing business with them.

Believe me you will be scammed out of all your money by Coinbase itself. I truly believe Coinbase is doing the scamming. I had coinbase go into my account and tried to withdraw $35,000 and put it in my account. I was lucky I didn't have $35,000 to withdraw or I would have been scammed out of that as well. These people went in and took my bitcoin and Ethereum and switch into 2 other coins and then started purchasing $200.00 each transaction I ended up paying $4000 in fees and they won't cover it. They told me it's up to me to protect my account. They don't even have a trigger if your on the site for more then any amount of time it won't log you out I didn't make these transactions and my account has been locked for 3 weeks now and I've done everything to get the balance of my $10,000 back which at this point $1657. 00. Please don't make the mistake I made If you don't believe me try and take out some of your funds and you will be on hold for 2 hour and then you can talk to someone that won't ever help you they will escalate the call and you will keep getting emails that say the same thing. Look at how many have been scammed by this company 6,000 that was as of May 2021 this year. And the rep told me to get my money out of their so that's what I was trying to do. I don't think I've ever seen a 1.5 star rating and the only reason for that big of a rating is because they don't have 0 rating only 1 that's how they even got that crappy rating. All I can say is if you don't believe me you've been warn. This is my first review I've ever done so you know I mean business. I also called all my fiends to get their money out and spread the word. They provide a very secured wallet to their users. They have very good layers of security you cnan use to protect your wallet.

Millions are scammed and can't retrieve their money. Coinbase has failed us. I will never use this app again. DO BETTER.

Tried to transfer $5000 in bit coin. It disappeared. These guys are crooks. Runtdo not walk from your account

On August 23rd 2021, due to failed Coinbase security, my account was taken over and my account was drained. I don't know if it was an inside job or not. I suspect that it is. How would someone get the information necessary to access my account? My account had $5004. 95 in it. They sold most of my coins and transferred the funds to an account in Sweden. Then they bought $1000 Ethereum and $10,000 Bitcoin using my bank account. I called my bank and was able to stop the transaction in time. We are in the process of buying our final home. I normally don't have much in this bank account. I just use it for bill paying purposes. I just happened to have transferred all the money we had in the world to this account for our closing costs $17,500. I don't know whether this was coincidental or someone was watching my account. My wife and I were devastated when we had seen that we were being robbed. My wife almost had to be hospitalized over this due to stress and panic. Neither one of us are the same to this day. What little investment we had for the future was gone, and now we are going to owe the IRS for this. We feel completely violated and now wonder if this person has all our information. Now we are having to deal with the stress of this on top of the moving stress. We blame failed Coinbase security for this. We trusted Coinbase to keep our information safe. If there were extra measures we should have done to protect our account then we should have been made aware of this when we opened our account. I have been in touch with everyone I can to help rectify this including my good friend who is a lawyer and my brother in law who is a Federal Judge. I am a member of the Facebook group "Coinbase Corruption/Scandal Awareness Group. I have signed every petition I can that is available over this issue. I will be sending a reminder message to Coinbase regarding this every so many hours. I do not give up. I absolutely will not stop until my money is returned to my account, I sue you for everything I can get and win, or Coinbase is shut down for their lack of customer support and security. Which ever comes first. Case #*******

I started buying, selling, and transferring BitCoins via CoinBase in 2014, and was a very satisfied customer.

Unfortunately, their service has declined in 2017, to the point that I will no longer be doing business with them. They used to have chat support. That's gone. The only means they offer their customers to contact them, is via a form on their website,
Which generates an automated response.

A month or so ago, I started having problems with the delivery times of my U.S. Dollars to my bank account whenever I sold BitCoin via CoinBase. In the past, when I sold BitCoin, my account online would indicate a date when the transaction would be complete, and it would be complete on that date. Not anymore! A couple days might go by, after the delivery date, and there wouldn't be so much as a pending transaction listed on my bank account's website, or at my bank, if I spoke to someone at the bank.

This month (April, 2017), I have been unable to log all the way into my CoinBase account. If I've cleared my cookies, I usually get a message from CoinBase, when I login, asking me to follow a link in an e-mail they just sent me, in order to verify the
Device I'm using. This month, I receive the same message, but no such e-mail! (Yes, I checked my Spam and Trash folders.) I appear to be logged in; my user name appears in the upper, righthand corner of their page, but I can't access anything.

I've tried logging out and logging back in, and reclearing my cookies, but their site will no longer generate an e-mail to verify my device.

This is just too stressful! To make matters worse, I had set up automatic, monthly buys via CoinBase. I'm going to put the kebosh on that from my bank's end, and am never going to use CoinBase again!

I just left a review on google for CBwallet. Another sacrifice to the company after reading many other reviews. I have just withdrawn off exchange and removed my payment option. Im done!
So I had and was planning on accumulating more BTC from Coinbase to send to my wallet. Now I have no wallet because words are hard according to CB customer service.
Ive been in the Industry since August, I can tell you now it a scam ridden industry. Starting at the exchanges. I learned a lot about it before jumping in. Only to be told when my 1st issue came up,you dont know how to put words in order. If i lose my car keys my car wont disappear and im not permanently locked out. Sounds like an easy out for scammers.
Self custody - word play convincing you they cant do whatever they want when it suits them. I had immensed a decent balance for my wallet. The password to my bank is also self custody and kept online through incription. FDIC insured, I've never respected that 4 word key phrase. I believe in the universe, i was 1 week away from adding to my amount. I was buying in lumps on dips. See i learned.
The irony is i had just bought a cold wallet to move my assets. Now i dont need it, I will not put another dime in crypto. Everyone avoid the security scams. The FUD alone is nauseating. Thanks for letting me vent. I couldnt find any where to leave a review on Coinbase. After dealing with their customer service on both ends i will never associate with them again.

Last thing, I read they can freeze your funds in the CB wallet. That alone would tell everyone they can access accts to help us. I get more help from my bank & grocery store than from this company.
Stay away from all EXCHANGES -- just listen -- i learned -- got rugged -- getting out. Im know when im being gas lighted. It wasnt a BUG

I invest $50,000 in ETH hoping to make money and I fund a project in coinbase wallet call Gamefi, since I was in Coinbase wallet I trust it, i really thought Coinbase was secure but they have this tab call brower in his set up that it make you thing that what ever its there it's check or working with coinbase, so that's how I transfer all my ETH to this project and everything was looking good my account was shoing the earning untill I want to withdral the system didn't let me so I e-mail coinbase and they said that that's not there responsability, so I'm relly looking for help I have contact this company fast fund group and has been two months and I'm still waiting. Any help would be apreciate it, if anybody here know what could I do pleae let me know

Extremely high fees. Can't even write reviews on appstore, thats why they have 4.7 stars. It literally cost me more then i was sending to metamask.
