Scammers

I signed up for the ACP BENEFIT BUT EVERY MONTH I STILL GET A 63$ BILL and end up paying $40 for one phone line no unlimited data. I'd advise everyone to check with boost mobile or metro pcs befor choosing these scammers.

I wish could it 0 stars. Anyways I order a SIM card kit from this bogus company with the janky phone and services, I paid 65.98 on 10/02/23 and I received the SIM card in the mail to my address. So I received the SIM card and put it into my phone and soon I went to activate the SIM card is was locked, they didn't set up a cricket wireless account for me, I didn't have a pin access code and the SIM card was broken and defected. I went to cricket wireless on 10/04/23 and was there for 3 hours cause the young gentleman lied and said he could fix it when he couldn't and explained your company sold me a broke defected SIM card offline and he said "we apologize but it is nothing we could do about it." I said well can I get a replacement SIM card since this one doesn't work in my iPhone 13 and he said "you have to purchase another one" Now why would I spent another 65.98 for the same exact problem to happen all over again, they really think people stupid and don't know what they doing. They are very slick and also BEWARE they SCAM and stole money out of my US BANK account when I provided documentation and proof of everything of the charges and SIM card not working and me going inside of they company. I want my 65.98 back into my account. I never had a problem with any phone company like this one here beside T-Mobile and Cricket wireless worst phone company ever honestly need be shutted down, sued. But it is explains why they have a major lawsuit on them though.

They advertise discounted upgrades once per year but this is totally false. I've been with cricket for 5 years on my mom's plan and 10 on my own and have only ever bought phones full price from them and never did an upgrade. My phone's computer system is shutting down and the charger port is not working properly and I am in a pinch for money so I went to do my upgrade. They refused to let me do it, I've talked to several different employees and customer service reps and they refused to let me. One claimed there was no such thing and when I showed proof them he said I'm not eligible till December next year and id have to pay full price. Another one I spoke with tried to tell me I have already done my upgrade with them when I haven't purchased a phone in years and she called me a lier even though my make and model where only made in 2020. Another claimed I'm not due for an upgrade till next month because I had one which I didn't and proved it. They then sent me to their supervisor Sean who was the rudest and stupidest person I've ever spoken to and kept asking which line on your account I said I only have one line then he said you can use your discount in may I said I want to use it now then he told me I wasn't due till next month then I argued and showed I haven't had one ever then he said your not due till February which made no sense and when I confronted him with the fact he said may then next month and then February and he hung up on me. Worst service I have ever received

It's a very frustrating system they do everything possible to add an extra five dollars to your bill every month it's really frustrating no matter how good you think you are trust me they're better went to pay my bill today the store in my town is closed had to go through the phone system naturally got charged an extra five dollars try to enter the security codes know how to make the phone calls had to pay that extra five dollars they do it every month every time

They really care

2 Times my wifi device used up my Data even when i was not using it, I was told to turn off the device when not in use, well I forgot 2 months in a row, And when I called to ask if there was anything they could do to get me some data Back? YES!They were so great about it,, The first time they returned 50 Gigs :) Next time all 100 gigs were returned, I am very Happy with Cricket,, and the internet speed is very good, Thank you Cricket,

I have had pretty much every different phone service there is on the market in our area of western KY and of all of them, Cricket is the ABSOLUTE worst! To help me out, a friend of mine added me to his phone plan since he was already an established Cricket consumer. By adding a line to his account I was able to pick out a free 5g phone. Within 3 months I had dropped the phone and it went completely dead. It wouldn't turn back on, screen wouldn't light up or anything. I did a warranty claim online and dropped the phone off at UPS, and was told to do so by Cricket and they said I would have my new phone in 1-2 business days. After a few days and no phone I tried to get thru to customer service. That is also ridiculous due to the extremely long wait times to speak to a representative and each time the recording says, "due to unusually large call volumes, the wait time is longer than expected." Well, it's not unusual when it happens each and every time you call; That's typical! Also, to make it more frustrating the representatives were NEVER any help and tho I did a warranty claim they kept telling me to contact Assurion, the insurance company on the phone. It was not an insurance claim. It was a warranty claim. This went on for three weeks of getting no help thru Cricket Wireless support and going to every Cricket Wireless store in our area with all those reps looking up my tracking number, calling Cricket, and getting no where before my phone finally arrived. Great, I finally got my phone! I was using it that night to message, call, or check out my Facebook when the screen started flashing on and off! Followed by lines on the screen like the screen is going out and it does that every few days. It's so frustrating! They got a new phone that was messed up and turned in on warranty and obviously sent me a refurbished phone with the screen going out in it! SERIOUSLY?!? Of course, I'm sure I could call them and send it in, but who knows how long the next one will take or what in the world I would wind up with that they would send me if they sent back anything. I'd give it negative stars if I could! DON'T DO IT!

The store I went to is on Charleston and Lamb. There was a very friendly and helpful young lady. I believe her name was Guadalupe she helped me switch over and get a phone! I was running short on time and I called ahead to make sure she had the phone I wanted and she did I just went in set up my plan and she sold me some accessories and I was out the door. Very helpful young lady.

Being a ex customer now of Cricket Wireless the worst expensive experience I've ever had in my life. It wasn't worth the money or the time. Their raising phone rates. I should have never switched from Metro Pcs. Now my family has moved away to a better cell phone company with better prices, customer service, and better phones..

Cricket doesn't care about your business with them at all...on the phone I was disconnected from them three times after waiting more than ten minutes each time.and my service was interrupted for paying after midnite on the day it was due, so an agent could not call me back and then when I finally reached someone they could not help restore my service without paying another 30 dollars, which made no sense since at 5:30am I had paid the 35.00 payment...then they need identification andy pin to pay cash which turned out to be 10.00 more than I was told on the phone...they did nothing at all to make me a happy customer...I'm looking for a new provider.I want to at least like the company I give my money to

Calling Customer Support

Most annoying hold ever. Constant repetitive dialogue between brief music. Then at the 8minute mark it asks if you would like to continue waiting, receive a text, or a call back. If you miss the 30 second window the call will automatically hang up on you. If you opt to continue waiting the next segment plays adds instead of hold music. So frustrating!

Auto pay scam

Cristena is a top list employee. She knows more about how to troubleshoot shoot a phone. She was the only one that set it up right! Never lose Cristena as an employee she is very valuable to the Streamwood Cricket store. I will never go anywhere else! If I have to go somewhere else I'll have to change my mobile service. If I could give her 10 stars I would!

I purchased a mobile hotspot device from my local Cricket Wireless store - I fully understand that the data plan I chose was 100Gb.
The Cricket service depleted my data balance whether using it or not. I even removed the battery from the device and could go online to check my data balance - it showed that I used over 60Gb of data in a single day. There was no battery in the device, there is no way I was using it or any part of Cricket Wireless.
I used this device for 4 days as a necessity, due to an issue with our 'hardwired' home internet service. Our residential service provider (AT&T) could not keep service active in a reliable fashion so I needed a temporary replacement while we wait for our newly purchased Starlink service/equipment to arrive.
I just purchased a totally different LTE cellular hotspot from another company that uses the very same cellular tower, even the same provider and guess what?
The Non-Cricket device uses data and measures data use accurately!
I've been back and forth with Cricket Wireless over the phone & in person, at their store and they say that I've used the data.
I showed the person working there my device (with battery removed) and asked them to look at my data. Sure enough, after an hour the online app showed data usage.
My device was sitting on the counter at the Cricket store, the battery was in my pocket.
They acknowledge that this is not correct but refuse to make any financial compensation ($99 worth of service were 'used')
I cancelled my device & service. I also contacted my credit company and put a stop payment order on the billing.
Do not even try Cricket Wireless or their equipment/services. They will not treat you fairly at all.

Can't make calls in Mexico

They falsely advertise their service works in Mexico - make and receive calls. I called Cricket to see what I needed to do to ensure my service would work while I was in Mexico on vacation. The agent said switch to the unlimited plan. I did so. The next month, I went to Cancun. I could not make any calls while in Mexico. I could only receive calls. I tried contacting Cricket while there, but I could not make outgoing calls. Because I needed to make a lot of phone calls while there, I had to pay to use the hotel phone. The only way I could speak with family and friends was through whatsapp and I had never used it before. I think it's unlawful that they get to advertise a service they don't provide.

We've been trying to switch our service to another provider for a month. We've been told that they're sending us a pin and we're not receiving it. Haven't been able to use the app since I've had cricket. I never recieve messages from them and customer service is horrible.

This company is a joke they have been double charging me for mobile Hotspot and now that I have caught it I now being told I used the data and that I can't be refunded had the nerve to offer me a $20 credit when they owe me over $100. I did not authorize cricket to Double charge me. I have reported this to bbb because you can't get any good help from customer service.

Was told when we bought the phone and got cricket service.that bark was free and the whole time we been paying 15 a month.then the cricket guys says we have to cancel it through bark.then he gives us the wrong number to a whole different company.so I'm canceling the whole phone.i will never get cricket service again.they hire anybody.and when we asked the guy about the number to bark to cancel.he said I shouldn't have to worry about getting you a number

The worst

Went here to get a new phone and was offered only 3 choices. I picked the one that the employee said was the best one. I used it and didn't like it and noticed I was not given a receipt. I called the store the same day I got the phone and informed the employee of my grievances. I had to call multiple times before she answered. She told me she offered me those phones because she thought that was all I could afford and was told to come back to the store for a receipt and refund. When I went back to the store I was told I had to go back the next day because she needed a manager. I go back the next day and was told by the manager that I could only get a small percent of my refund then I was told since I didn't get a receipt nothing could be done but tried to sell me another phone for almost $200. I called customer support and they told me to dispute the charge since they are refusing to give me a receipt or a proper refund. The manager also informed me that he was getting multiple complaints about the employee and would said there would be disciplinary actions but I doubt he did anything. Now I'm stuck with a 4G phone I don't want when I had a 5G phone. This was NOT an upgrade for me.
Don't let these people scam you out of your money because if you don't look like them and share that culture this could happen to you too.
