Cricket after tearing up a phone on my account, then refusing us upgrades we could afford, thanks to their bait and switch scheme. Display phones under $100 then refuse to sell them, "we only sell phones priced $100 and up" several reps told us that. One moron said "pay $100 for a phone and it will last you 100 years" I told him he was an idiot. Let's see hmm $375 plus taxes and fees to stay with Cricket or $90 for service plus taxes and fees plus 3 free $150 phones. Total cost $150. Yes, we switched to Metro PCS and you should too!
I haven't cried out of shear frustration in years but tonight after 2 hours of trying to get help from cricket chats I'm losing it. All I wanted to do was pay them to add one Gig to my service for the month. Hurricane Helene wiped out my town's internet so I can't watch TV or use my phone because having no wifi burned up my data in 3 days. It took about 2 hours and many customer service chats to get a very SIMPLE payment accomplished. I'm switching to consumer cellular
Cricket is horrible the service sucks $#*! they charge you extra $5 for reactivation fee. I'm switching back to Metro PCS because when your bill is due they give you a 72 hour extension for your text and call Cricket has none of that they just turn off your phone and charge u 5 extra bucks.
Paid bill early. Unknowing that I was switching cell service. Tried to get money back for time bought that wasn't even touched,,, they refused. Don't waste ya money! Terrible company and terrible customer service!

Bad customer service. They sold me a screen protector that didn't fit my phone. Then I requested a refund. They denied it. So then I told them I wanted to get another one and the didn't give it to me. Because my card declined so they took it off and when I got my phone back, they gave it to me without my phone case. You guys are B. S & Stupid! How do you take my case off and don't give it back to me. Now I have to buy a new one. And I'm sure I'm not going to that place ever again!

HORRIBLE customer service! I referred 2 people to cricket in September and cricket never mentioned the referral credit you can get, which they had at that time. NO emails, texts, nothing! I logged into my account a few days ago and saw they are giving you credit if you refer people to them, i got texts, emails. I called them and mentioned i had referred 2 people cricket and i cant tell you how many people i've talked to and how many different answers i got as to why i cannot get my credit. I was promised a supervisor would call me at a time i requested and no one called me. I will never refer anyone to cricket again.
I've been at the store for nearly an hour to take off a $10 charge for service I didn't use and a $5 reactivation charge when I have been using autopay for years. My phone hasn't worked all weekend even thought they took the money out my account.
I have tried 2 weeks to get my number transferred. I'm paying fir Cricket and Spectrum. I have been told my number has a lock transfer on it but they unlocked it. Still the number will not transfer. Every time I call I get told the same thing. Even when I talk to a manager. I guess, I'll be getting a new number. It a pain changing your number with all your creditors, doctors, friends etc.
Well I've been with cricket for years. It's always a hit or miss with them. I'm looking to change services in the close future. 1st, the 611 phone number is the Corp office and they're so uneducated. I always get 10 different answers and no one knows what the hell they're talking about. 2nd, this is a big thing for me, they offer no good deals for phone who have been a long time customer. After having my phone for over a year I broke it but the woman told me all about their upgrades... They're only like 50 dollars cheaper than the full retail price of the phone. Like don't try to fool me. They'll comment back on Facebook to look like the good guys but they aren't. They manipulate things.
I would warn others to not buy the Cricket wireless plan. My experience with their support has been a nightmare. I've had my service for a little over a month with great coverage and no problems...until I discoved why a lot people I called wouldn't pick up my calls. My caller ID is under someone else name, not mine. I think you can see the problem there. I've spent many hours on both chat and voice support at Cricket. They finally told me there was nothing they could do except to change my number for a fee of $16.00. When your number is changed, it takes days to notify everyone. The thing is, they guarantee your caller ID when you sign up. They do not honor their contracts.
I called customer service on 4/5/20 to extend my bridge pay but the agent failed to do his job after I paid the 20.00 for bridge pay so my phone was disconnected due to non payment. So I had my services restored on 4/6/20 to only loose 20.00 and pay the full balance. Then I called back to pay to only be told I don't owe anything. 2 days later get a text saying I owe so I get punished because of there mess up and beat me out of my money for a second time
I called due to my account wrongly being suspended. When I attempted to explain my situation, I was constantly being interrupted. I asked for a supervisor (which I honestly hate doing), but he absolutely refused. I then attempted to use the chat function. Want to know what they told me? I needed to call and ask for a supervisor. I explained that I was unable to get in touch with a supervisor via the phone, and they insisted that's what I needed to do. I am appalled. This company is a joke. How do you not even have 2 stars?
Cricket sucks. My phone stopped working and because insurance was bought for it I thought I would get it in the 3 to 5 days like they said. Wrong. It's been over a month and they haven't sent it to me. We've been on the phone for hours trying to get this new phone and it still hasn't arrived. My brother's phone broke after mine and he got his sooner because his phone was under the manufacturer's warranty, while I was basically punished for keeping my phone for over a year. The first phone they sent after 2 to 3 weeks was under my mother's phone number and the one they just sent us and we just got (that we had to send to an alternate address because they've tried to send the correct phone to us twice now) was under my father's number. They can't get me my phone and I'm damn tired of it. Never trust these people and never get insurance for your phone from them.
I have a 3 lines with cricket for 6-7 years. I needed to switch my phone number. So I dropped a line however at the same time. Added a line. I still at 3 lines. But, the rep said it was a $10 fee for the additional line. Which didn't make sense. I had 3 lines before the switch and 3 lines after. So I don't understand why I would be charged anything at all. Changes to a service should not cost a penny after being a loyal customer for 6-7 years...
Most annoying hold ever. Constant repetitive dialogue between brief music. Then at the 8minute mark it asks if you would like to continue waiting, receive a text, or a call back. If you miss the 30 second window the call will automatically hang up on you. If you opt to continue waiting the next segment plays adds instead of hold music. So frustrating!
A hacker called Cricket pretending to be me and asked them to relinquish my number to him. They did and he used it to reset passwords on my bank accounts and steal my money. When I asked Cricket to give me a new number so I could "unravel" my financial messes, they said they would need to charge me $70.00 for a new number. This was after I was on hold for 45 minutes. When I told the Cricket rep that they were the ones that gave away my number and should give me a new one free, she said no and accused me of taking my own number---which makes no sense. This company is rotten to the core.
One day my phone stopped working. Cricket said I no longer had an account. Why? Cricket ported my telephone number to another carrier without my permission or even my knowledge. They send you a text when they are about to bill you each month but NO TEXT when they are about to port your phone number without your permission? The thieves now had access to EVERYTHING on my phone and stole whatever they could: email accounts, credit cards, bank accounts, brokerage accounts and this only scratches the surface. Their horrific customer service then threw gasoline on the fire. I was never able to contact one competent person. All they did is read a bunch of lies off the computer screen. STAY AWAY FROM CRICKET. They are dangerously incompetent.
My representative Melissa was so awesome she had great customer service and helped me transfer all my contacts and my pictures and she was so nice and friendly! Thanks again i will come back for more help or when im ready to get a new phone!
Their low rates are a perfect match for the low quality of their store people and their customer service staff. Depends on how much time you have to deal with nitwits. I guess I am slow to learn that you almost always get what you pay for.
I was having signal issues while at home. I called customer service and was told that they had a tower update (mind you Cricket Wireless never sent any communication about a tower update and we had problems for months!). Then 5 minutes later I received a text saying that my Samsung Galaxy 10+ was not compatible with the service. They insisted I upgrade my phones. What?! Upgrade my phone for this wack service that never works. Ummmm NO! They refused to take any responsibility for their walk service! I would NEVER suggest anyone including my enemies to use Cricket Wireless Service!

This company should be sued and shut down. Talking to the manager Kevin was pointless. They scammed me out of my money and still shut off my service. Nothing they could do they said. Basically not willing to help a paying customer. Really unfortunate they would rather lose a customer than help them resolve their issue. Kevin should be fired for being the dumbest manager I ever spoke to. I will NEVER come back to cricket nor will I EVER recommend them to anyone I know. Very horrible service as well for what you pay for. I'd rather switch my service and not have to deal with this type of frustration again.
Longtime customer but had enough. Worst Motorola phone ever, won't keep a charge. But today was it when customer service couldn't speak or pronounce proper English. I'm Asian but this person tried for 15 minutes to help but couldn't understand her. I told her she needs to learn English and hung up, now phone is totally screwed. Going to Cricket store tomorrow. This company doesn't know what they're doing or how they are (aren't) doing it. My mother had a stroke earlier this year and needed easy cell service. (Things went south with her other provider. A different story for a different day.) She asked me to register her phone and get it up and running. I had the SIM card number. I had the device number. I had a $25 refill card for funding. Their web site drove me bat-[bleep] crazy. I tried entering those first two numbers and the site insisted I buy a monthly plan. Why would I want a plan when Mother gave me a $25 refill card to get her started? Then the site froze. Then both customer service people (via online chat) said they couldn't help me if I was unable to give them an order number. (I doubt they'd have been able to help me anyway. They were completely clueless.) It was pure [bleep] to go through, and I've never experienced such ineptitude with a phone service. No, no, no.

Cricket lied to me telling me my phone was capable of using there wifi hotspot. So I agreed paid 80.00 and received my sim card not. Immediately after receiving I activated my sim only to find out wifi hot spot does not work, I called cricket and they reassured me that they would reimburse my payment. So I moved on to a at&t account knowing I will receive my money back from cricket.
5 days later I contact cricket and guess what they refused to return my money!
If they would have told me this the first time I would have stayed with cricket untill my month ran out before I proceeded to at&t.
So beware cricket will tell you anything to get your cash even straight up lies
I went and bought a new phone for $256 I got home and the wifi on the phone didn't work so I took the phone back to return it 5 days later and they would only give me $200 back. The receipt says I have 7 days to get a refund and it had been 5. I would not recommend this company to anyone else.

Was very pleased with cricket but now they are scammer artist. They took two payments in June. They refuse to to give one payment back. We were told to go through payment card to get back. So we did and they shut off the phone. Got it back on with what we had to pay amount given and then had a fee that cricket added on. So no card on file and just took another payment on the 8/27/22. The amount was wrong and no one give permission for. With no money in the bank. They got it a bunch of $#*!ing scammers.
I get the 5 gb of the unlimited data plan. I've literally had my phone on WiFi for the past 3 days and yet I keep getting notifications of my data allowance is going down. Now. I was under the assumption that while on WiFi we are not using our data from the Network plan. Other than this issue I have not had any other problems with Cricket. I've only had this service for 2.5 months and thought my data was taken last moth eventhough I was connected to WiFi, but was not sure till this month when I was watching it very close.
