Cricket after tearing up a phone on my account, then refusing us upgrades we could afford, thanks to their bait and switch scheme. Display phones under $100 then refuse to sell them, "we only sell phones priced $100 and up" several reps told us that. One moron said "pay $100 for a phone and it will last you 100 years" I told him he was an idiot. Let's see hmm $375 plus taxes and fees to stay with Cricket or $90 for service plus taxes and fees plus 3 free $150 phones. Total cost $150. Yes, we switched to Metro PCS and you should too!
I haven't cried out of shear frustration in years but tonight after 2 hours of trying to get help from cricket chats I'm losing it. All I wanted to do was pay them to add one Gig to my service for the month. Hurricane Helene wiped out my town's internet so I can't watch TV or use my phone because having no wifi burned up my data in 3 days. It took about 2 hours and many customer service chats to get a very SIMPLE payment accomplished. I'm switching to consumer cellular
Before switching from Verizon to Cricket, explained my needs at the Burnsville, Mn. Store, told them that I would need to port over my current cell number then later add a line to my account and port over my business land-line from Frontier communication. A few months after signing on, I went to add that second line, I dialed 611 customer service, explained my situation asked if my new phone could support 2 numbers, was told I'd have to get a phone with to sim cards from an outside source, cricket offered none, or just add the new line, get a free second phone for an additional $30 monthly. Went back to local store, was then told by salesperson that cricket couldn't port over any land-line numbers, they're owned by another carrier that wouldn't allow this, called 611 again and was told the same despite what being previously told. Called land-line carrier and was told by them no problem to do so, law requires that can be done. Been back and forth numerous times with cricket stores and customer service with no success, spoke to other cellphone carriers explaining my needs, they claim to have no problem porting over a land-line number. Went back to store to cancel service and get a refund on the upgraded phone I spent $150 on plus additional accessories, I was told to go pound sand. Horrible company, store sales clerks and customer service department are imbeciles! Got screwed and didn't even get s reach around...
I recently had the misfortune of experiencing a highly frustrating situation with Cricket Wireless that has left me deeply dissatisfied with their service. In short, they double-charged me, turning what should have been a simple billing process into a headache.
Firstly, I noticed an unexpected and unauthorized charge on my credit card statement. After some investigation, I realized that Cricket Wireless had billed me twice for the same service during the same billing cycle. This blatant double charge not only caught me off guard but also left me questioning the integrity of their billing system.
Attempts to resolve the issue were met with a series of disappointments. Customer service was not only unhelpful but also seemed indifferent to the inconvenience caused by their mistake. The representatives I spoke to were unable to provide a clear explanation for the double billing, and their lack of urgency in resolving the matter only exacerbated my frustration.
Furthermore, the process of getting a refund was not even suggested.
This incident has seriously eroded my trust in Cricket Wireless as a reliable service provider. In an era where customer service is paramount, the way they handled this billing issue was unacceptable. I expected more from a company that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction.
I strongly advise potential customers to be wary of Cricket Wireless, especially if they value transparent billing practices and efficient customer service. The inconvenience caused by their double billing and subsequent lackluster response has left me seriously contemplating a switch to a more reliable and customer-friendly wireless provider.
Update 4/10/20, If you have a problem with your Cricket Service, and you will, expect at least 5 hours for being on hold, hung up, calling back, waiting on hold talking to a CSR, being put on hold again, being transfered to a dept that can't help you, hung up on again, and on and on and on, in contacting tech support online is also a good 3-7 hours to get resolution. This IS NOT an exaggeration! Been onhold now for 2 hours and 46 mins, been hung up on twice after talking to rep and this is my 3rd call.
I had to contact cricket's customer service for an issue I was having and to upgrade my service. Yeah, Good luck! I was having no help with the agent in Cambodia and asked to speak with her supervisor. "Kevin" answered and said he was a supervisor and would help me, not really though. "Kevin" was rude and basically a jerk. I told him to have a blessed day and got off the call. Right after I hung up the call I get a text from Cricket in Spanish, yes Spanish. Kevin had changed my language preferences. I Called back and spoke with Carlos, who was very helpful and changed my setting back to English. Then Kevin changed them back to Spanish 4 times in the next week. Great company as long as you don't need to talk to customer service. I hope "Kevin" got fired.
I've seen a lot of bad reviews for Cricket, however, I've had them as my carrier for 1 year now and have no complaints. I work in an area where co-workers who have AT&T get no reception and I do. I have drove from St. Louis to Chicago, no loss of reception, from StL to Huntsville, Al, no loss of reception. I have not attempted to contact customer service because there is a Cricket store in Arnold, Mo. Close to my home and they are always very helpful with any questions or problems I might have. Over all I can't complain.
I called Cricket on Aug 30,2022 at 9:50 am until 2pm. I spoke with 10 people: Ethel, Irina, Mitchell ID *******, Antonio, Carlos, Demi, Kristine, Shaun, Francine, and Tania. I was hung up 5 times, and although I was asked to provide my phone number in case we get disconnected, no one called me back. Being on the ph for 4 hrs and telling 10 people my issue and then hung up while they were showing "understanding" and willingness to help while I battle covid, it's frustrating on its own, but not having the issue resolved when it is Cricket's mistake, it's another issue. My phone number's model and IMEI have never been updated in the system since I bought the phone years ago. Mitchell, who was extremely rude, tried to cover Cricket's error and updated the model and IMEI in the system; however, he did not backdated from the date I originally bought the phone, thus I am now unable to unlock the phone even though I have been using the same device for years. I called the corporate office too but of course, no one answered. Cricket is a nightmare! I do not recommend Cricket to anyone.
I switched from a well known phone service to cricket. This was my first mistake. The phone that I bought was the Motorola 5g stylus. This was my 2nd mistake. The first day I had this phone it froze on me. I tried calling the support line and their phone service ends at 8. I could not get any help from this knock off phone service. Likely one of my friends where able to help me fix the issue. Also, my old phone was 4g and worked good for an old model, but this new phone if it was on wireless internet or WiFi the video would not work correctly. I tried nurmous WiFi to see if that was the issue. The answer is no. The 3rd mistake was calling the phone service and tried to have my phone fix. BIGGEST joke of the year. I tried for over 2 weeks to get my phone fixed and many hours equalling over 30 hours of hold time. I still have that phone. I had false promises of people to call me back, guess what not happening. Do yourself a favor stay with a name brand service, not a generic look a like who put more thoughts on the commercial then customer service.
Tip for consumers:
If you want a decent service and value customer service help. Do yourself a favor and do not use this service

The phone service from cricket.
Literally worst customer service experience in my entire life. And I'm super chill about bad customer service, but this is crossing a line. My boyfriend broke his phone 5 days ago and we have been trying to replace it since, I have been the main one dealing with it since I'm the only one with a phone, so they were supposed to send it the next day and they put the address in wrong so it never delivered and they sent it back to the sender in Texas, we live in Seattle. I tried calling UPS, and cricket, they both told me they couldn't change the address. So finally it gets back to the sender. Now I have to get his mom on the phone with me to approve his phone getting reshipped even tho it was THEIR PROBLEM. So everything seems all good they seem to be sending it back but then I have to fill out an affidavit and submit a photo of his moms ID. Ridiculous. To remedy THEIR MISTAKE. It's literally the most complex confusing process for such a simple problem like replacing a $#*!ing phone. I cried on the phone multiple times because nobody would even help me. I literally cannot say a good thing about this dog $#*! company. Do not give them your business
They claim unlimited but it is not. Also limit the user, or another force the use to have only 480p stream. Really stupid service.
If you look on Facebook you'll will find tons of angry customers who had no other place to speak out while cricket DELETES CUSTOMERS NEGATIVE REVIEWS, The page is called boycotting cricket wireless
I went in and had a phone over heating. Did the warranty claim for me. Boxed it up and was wonderful. Great experience.
Dial up would be better.
Their service is the worst.
No connection. I think they speed up your usage amounts. Just horrific.

This morning I called CUSTOMER CARE due to the fact that they suspended my account, when I still had 5 service days left on my account. They mentioned to me that it was due to adding 30GB of Hot Spot data last night, when I did not. I actually called they automated line and added only 15GB of Hot Spot data and paid for it over the phone and was even given a confirmation number. Still, they wanted me to pay the full amount due on my account, which was my normal plan, plus pay for the additional hotspot they added to my account without my approval. The CSR claimed she could not do anything about it, so in order to cut my service back on, I had to be placed on their Bridge Pay and forced to pay half of my bill that was supposed to be due on the 26th. If this is how they trick people into paying for their mistakes, then it's not a good company to get involved with. They could have fixed their mistake, but chose not to. They'd rather make their customers pay additional services against their wishes by suspending their customers account and giving them no other option but to pay for their plan way before their bill is even due. Terrible phone provider, no different than Metro PCS. Will be switching providers due to how they treated this situation. Very shady, and not a trustworthy company to get involved with. Plus they sell your information, which you will get tons of spam calls/texts.
Customer service is terrible RUDE unhelpful and they seem to care less about your situation I suggest that anybody considering cricket to run the other way life's to short
I haven't been happy since the beginning so I am going elsewhere now. I've wasted enough money on this company! When I first signed on with Cricket, the worker had no idea how to transfer my pictures from old phone to my new phone so I had to blue tooth every picture MYSELF once I got home. I've purchased two phones had them both for about a week when the started slowing down, freezing, screen turning black, battery dying very quick. I went to upgrade about two weeks ago and purchased a SD card b/c the phone I got has very little storage. So AFTER dumping money into a new phone PLUS an addition $32.99 on a card, the card is corrupt and guess what?! Too bad! It's non-refundable! Was I told that when I purchased it? NO! Was I told when I signed on with Cricket that even though I pay MONTHLY for insurance, when and if i have to send my phone, I'll COMPLETELY be WITHOUT a phone until they send mine back?! I take my phone to a different location to see if they can help with the SD card issue... The workers said to me, "how do you get to the SD card? I've been working with Iphones all day" REALLY?! This company sucks, the employees have NO clue what their doing and the phones are garbage! At this point, the only thing left for you to do is refund me my money!
Cricket is shutting phone service after 7 days. Basically they are provide 7 day grace period on bridge pay but demands all of it or no service.
Paid my bill went yo use the phone to get help for my child that is extremely sick has 3 diseases and they canceled my account. Call customer service they claim 2 days before I pd my bill it was switched to another carrier which I fid not authorize. Now I don't have a phone after paying 200.00 for the phone I bought from them. Told me it could ask up to 45 days to get my phone back on. What a. I suppose to fo now, if this happened before my bill was due why not cancel then. EASE DONT EVER BUT FRIM THIS COMPANY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. I did however turn this over to my laywer, have something done.Im not playing with these people,. It's the holidays and can't afford a new phone and service which I shouldn't have to. WORST PHONE COMPANY!

I went to Cricket in New Orleans on TerryParkway to get my daughter IPhone 13 on and the customer service rep told me she could do it. After taking my money, she tells me that she can not turn the phone on because Boost has it locked. So boost couldn't unlock it because I didn't have the phone for a year. Bianca Limon, who is with Cricket, told the customer service rep not to give me my money back after the young lady admitted to me and her it was her fault because she is new and she didn't pay attention. Bianca dumb unprofessional $#*! was on FaceTime keep that in mind! I told her I was not leaving without my money or compensation. Bianca told the young lady that the money would have to come out her pocket! I'll let y'all know how this play out because Bianca also told the customer service rep that I can call the police if I want, lol! And I will if need be! Oh it made me give them one star just to submit this review because they don't deserve it! Oh they giving me a no name android! SMH!
