Christmas labels were ordered early December with a 2-3 day processing and 5-9 day shipping window. Did not arrive by Christmas as promised. It's ridiculous that a tiny item like labels takes 3 weeks plus to ship. Will NEVER shop this company again.
I ordered Christmas address labels a month prior to Christmas and was told they shipped on Dec. 2. When I called to check on tracking information, I was told they might not arrive until January 4. The customer service (a joke) representative was basically laughing at me saying, "Too bad. You should read the fine print. We ship all labels out third class mail with the USPS and it's not our problem." I paid $7.99 for shipping. What a joke. You're right, Mr. "Customer Service", it's not your problem, but it might be when customers see how your company is run. You've lost one customer for sure.
When I was a kid, my parents would order our address labels and address labels for me, from Current. This Christmas, we have a new house, so I thought, "Let's get some new labels with our new address! Just for old time's sake." That was 14 days ago. Current said they shipped them on 12/6 (the day after I ordered them). It took a full 6 additional days for DHL to update with anything but they're "en route." They were transferred to somewhere in New Jersey on Friday (four days ago) and the USPS doesn't recognize the tracking number supposedly assigned to them. I should've just set $15.00 on fire. You're a stationery company during the holidays, get your act together! So frustrating... never again.
This company has changed. I have been ordering from them for over thirty years and now the quality is gone. They take too long to ship even with express shipping. Prices in catalog do not reflect on line prices. The final straw for me was I ordered a calendar and it came up as two of the same item. Customer service rep said it has already processed ( I just ordered yesterday) and I would have to refuse the package when delivered. WHAT! I will no longer order from them.
I have periodically ordered from Current Catalog for 35 years. There has always been a bit of delay in receiving my orders but lately the delay has gotten extensive. I placed an order on 9/7 for something that I needed today. They did not even ship the order until 9/14. The anticipated delivery date is 9/20. No other mail order waits a week to send out an order. Three weeks to receive an order is poor business. I am now at a loss as to what to do about the needed item. By the time it arrives, it will be useless.
This is very bad business practice - considering I could have ordered something very similar from Amazon and received it in two days. I will not be ordering from Current again.
7 weeks ago I ordered personalized clothing labels, paid at point of sale. This company took my payment with no problem--getting my order, or getting them to answer my query as to where the items are is quite another story.
I received an email 3 weeks ago saying my order had shipped. To date I have not received it. I have sent two emails to customer service alerting them to the problem, with absolutely no response.
What can be done about this? Nothing, and I think the company knows this. They have my money so they don't care if I am satisfied or not.
My advice to shoppers out there -- stay away from this company. They will gladly and quickly take your money, and then be done with you. Shop somewhere else.
Card stock is cheap, cards are NOT folded, who does that? They won't send call tag so I've paid to ship this crap to myself and get to pay to ship it back. The on line chat customer service person as snotty as could be.
This used to be a great company. My family started ordering from them decades ago (and by that, I mean in the 70's). I don't know what has happened, but the shipment (6 days later), has not gone out. I was told at first that it should ship today, then the rep changed her tune to next week. She said they have up to 9 business days for delivery (it's been 5 business days). If it ships next week, ground, there is no way the order of over 30 items will get here in 9 business days or less. Not going to happen. Then I was told 4, then 3, of the items are back-ordered. Now, the company had 6 days to tell me that. These are items FOR October. After confirmation of the order, I heard nothing else.
I emailed and I called. This is a waste of my time I still don't know when it will ship.
I do not trust this company any longer, and I don't think you should, either.
I ordered 48 invitations for a party - I received 48 invitations but only 24 envelopes. I sent an email to customer service and received the automated acknowledgement. I waited three days - no response. Tried again - same acknowledgement. No response after a week. So I called. Explained the issue - "customer service" agent said "let me see what I can do" and put me on hold. I sat and listened to how important my call was for almost ten minutes. Then he comes back and says they will mail out envelopes for me to receive in 7-10 days. Seriously? First of all response should have been - so sorry we will mail those right out priority. Not put me on hold. Second of all 7-10 days to be able to mail invitations is unacceptable when it was their error (packing slips both noted "invitations and env." Never again. Current has lost a customer.
My order specifically said that I ordered duplicate checks with matching address labels. The checks are fine however the labels were not personalized with the name or an address I basically received hundreds of cute little stickers. Sue in customer service actually told me that quote "machines do not know what you mean. You got what you ordered." What a joke! How does that website allow for customized information to not be customized? An option should have defaulted and warned me in my opinion. Who wants 400 stickers?
Answer: The service is bad. Really bad. I couldn't. Then they couldn't find me as a customer, then they said they were shipping today, then they said next week.
Answer: Wanted multi-packs of birthday cards for my mom's stash, and were much cheaper than UNICEF I normally order. Never again will I use them. Extraordinarily poor service getting missing item from shipment sent. Back to UNICEF!
