The worst customer service system known to man.
Useless IT system that only allows customers to log on and spend money, everything else has to be done by phone and no one answers phone.
Would not exchange or rufund on item a few months old!
Only would return to manufacturer with a 6 week turnaround!
Never again Currys!
I will never shop from again Currys! Unable to interrupt payment for product care department. Tricks the customer with stupid and pointless questions.
UK friends - Please take note!
Do NOT spend your hard earned money at Currys! My 86 year old father's 6 month old television had an operational fault; it was collected for assessment and repair, and returned a week later with a completely smashed screen rendering the tv unfit for purpose. They are claiming that is how it left the property, despite having photographic evidence to the contrary, and will not accept liability and replace the unit with a new one.
This has been going on since the 7th October (nearly a month without his lifeline) and is showing no signs of being resolved, even after lengthy telephone conversations, webchats, sending the evidence through the POST as they cannot be contacted via email, and lodging a formal complaint following their preferred route.
This is disgusting treatment of an elderly, disabled gentleman and I will continue to fight for justice. Spend your money wisely friends, this a company that has been around for years. It seems they have forgotten what customer care really means.
Just received a delivery from Currys via Yodel. Five identical items ordered, only 4 delivered. Now trying to find a way of contacting Currys to ask where the fifth one is.
There is NO WAY to do this on their website... apart from a chargeable phone service that says the average wait time is an HOUR.
Their tracking page asks for a 10 digit number starting 74... there is no 10 digit tracking number on any of the paperwork. I have a customer number, order number, 19 digit tracking number with Yodel, and a receipt number. None are 10 digit and none work on the tracking page.
One page on their website has a young lady with headphones and the words Webchat with a colleague, look for the 'need help' button on this page...
THERE ISN'T A NEED HELP BUTTON ON THE PAGE
Quite clearly Currys do not want to make themselves available to help customers, and with ratings like this on Trust Pilot you can understand why.
Tantamount to fraud is the only way I can sum up my experience with Currys
Love Currys, such great prices. Have purchased quite a lot from Currys recently and they have constantly been best on price, by a mile. Good products, good service & good communication. 10/10
I bough build in oven online and wanted to do return. The online system doesnt work, because when I filled up return form, they didnt confirm anything, just sent an email and asked for additional info. The webchat system transfered to one of their adviser Syed. He requested me to contact Bosh and get uplift number. I contacted Bosh and they laughted, they said if product is new/unused, I need to contact Currys and arange the refund. I would never ever buy anything from Currys. Wery dissapointing me.
Called the Currys to explain that I needed the items urgently and they were not helpful at all. I'm still not sure if or when I will receive the items
Where do I even begin?
I had an awful experience in Watford's shop.
The manager UCHIT was super rude and disrespectful.
Here goes the story: went there to buy something as a gift for someone, and a stuff helped me to get what I wanted and went back to the till to pay. I paid in cash, and while I was waiting for my products to come, the manager came and asked me, "Why do you buy these two products", and I said as gifts, for someone. So he asked me if I am willing to return them, and I said, well not sure, If they don't like it, of course I will.
Then he added that couple of months ago I came and bought an expensive item, and I returned it the next day ( this is true), so I said that is correct, so I asked him if it was a problem, he said no, but we know you are going to return it again, and I need to know why and see if everything is legit. I was confused. What does that even mean?
If the box is open, they won't refund it to you, but they DO open the product there once you go for a refund.
The manager said that NOBODY BUYS THAT EXPENSIVE GIFTS FOR SOMEONE, AND RETURNS IT THE NEXT DAY.
IF the company has a return policy for 30 days, THEY SHOULD NOT ASK YOU anything about the reason you want to return it, as long it hasn't been opened.
I ordered a small fridge and a chest freezer from Currys. The delivery team was great. Unfortunately, the chest freezer was faulty. The display temperature didn't adjust the temperature. I submitted an exchange form online. I never heard back. A week later, I submitted another one. I received a generic email saying they needed more info. I called the curry's team, but I was transfered to the Montpellier team. I asked them to help and they said I need to talk to Currys. Yesterday, I online chated twice with Currys and both times, the team didn't help. They said I need approval from Montpellier to do an exchange first. So I called Montpellier again and they told me again, they don't give uplift codes to approve an exchange. Again they directed me to Currys. I chatted online again and asked to speak to a supervisor. He also didn't help. 10 days in and several attempts to simply exchange a faulty product and Currys failed to help. I will never buy from them again. I have a broken thermostat and they failed to acknowledge any problems.

THEY GET A MESSAGE SAYING ITS OUT OF STOCK BUT THEY HAVE TAKEN THE MONEY AND NOW EMPTIED MY ACCOUNT SO i CANNOT BUY FROM ELSEWHERE! BUNCH OF THIEVES! Bought a sound bar form currys but it wasnt as good as I thought - got it home and used it for a few dsys - tried to take it back but couldnt due to it being opened. Should have read the t&c
Reported faulty item Dec 26th. First date for repair was canceled, then wouldn't rearrange for after 2pm so I didn't lost a full date pay. Rearrange for Feb, the guy came with the handle but no screw! The main part I repeatedly told both currys and bexo. So almost 2 months after reporting fault STILL not fixed. Then the problem would arise of having to lose a day's pay for incompetence over a screw!. Finally decided to just swap for a new oven as weirdly somehow easier than replacing a screw. Was told on the phone that all I had to do was call the store and give them the authorization code to arrange for a new oven to be delivered. Was told it was simple. Just phone ect. Obviously this was also untrue as after hours on the phone calling different numbers that we given I finally go through to be told this couldn't be done on the phone and I had to go to the store. Brilliant I live nowhere near the store it was purchased in. Phoned back again to be told I could speak to the store manager and explain. Again not as simple as that as Noone answers the phone. So after wasting hours and hours and constant stress I had to waste another hour and a half round trip to go the the store, and wasting fuel. I was told I had to so to the store it was bought it. So after hours in the phone, I drive to the store. Only there to be told I could have gone to my local currys and didn't need to go to the store. To be honest I'm disgusted, as a neurodivergent, this has caused significant stress, and has cost me my time and money to sort out an issue that was actually simple.
I wish I could give no stars ~
Happened in Arndale Curry's Manchester.
I bought an Apple Watch (cellular) and I was told by the advisor in store that I don't need a separate sim plan and on that basis I paid £100 more to buy the one where I can send text etc. later my provider told me you actually can't and that I should go back to store and speak with them about the misinformation.
I called them before visiting and the manager Iwona and the advisor who sold me the watch told me "you should've done your research before coming into our store" and that literally broke my heart because we rely on advisors in store when making a purchase.
Then after our heated conversation the manager Iwona called me in store and said we'll give you a refund (after about 2 hours of our phone convo). And when I went in store, they looked off and when I was leaving Iwona told the same advisor to tell me "you're no longer welcomed in this store" and I was baffled. All because I wanted a refund on something I was sold on the basis of misinformation.
I am deeply hurt and this is one of the worst and the only worst experience I've had when shopping. I was a regular Curry's customer and this is how they treated me. Poor management and training of the advisors.
FRAUDERS
I ordered goods online for the amount of 450 pounds
They took money from me online for the order
I don't have an order number or a product I can't get
I can prove that they took money from me for the purchase and did not provide the goods
I contacted the support chat - it didn't lead to anything, they can't do anything, they give only another phone number and close the chat!
I'll have to go to the police
If you are thinking of buying an LG sound bar in a sale, don't go to Currys in Chichester!
I got one today after they told me it was compatible with my LG television, I get it home unpack it, turns out it's not, so I repack it and get in the truck and take it all the way back, to be confronted with the rudest little arse I've ever come across, who said if I didn't calm down I would have to go Portsmouth to get my money back as they didn't need this because his staff had had a hard day! Hard day? It's a shop! You have hard days on the buildings, and anyway as the assistant told me, "Its cheap because it's a couple of years old" £150 cheap?
I was led to believe it was cheap because it was in a sale, not because it was old and incompatible with a television of the same make which incidentally I bought in a sale a year ago in the same shop, and it transpires that it is so old no sound bar is compatible so what exactly is the truth Currys? And they should win a prize for arrogance and rudeness, talk about the customer being right, no not in Currys in Chichester,
I don't know how they do it! No delivery (twice). No refund as yet, and not a word of explanation or apology! Absolutely Shocking...
If I could put zero stars I would. Ordered an iPad a week ago, after the click and collect option told me it was in stock 40mins away. Waited three days and had no email. Rang customer services after two hours wait on hold, to be told the product was in store and I can collect. Drove 40mins to collect to be told that the product has been lost in transit. The staff were appalling in store, not interested in helping told me I had to wait 14 days for it to be investigated, they said you can have one in store but you will have to pay another £369 I said no problem just refund my money and they wouldn't. As I was told curry's stores are apparently nothing to do with curry's online. But they trade under the same nationwide name? The staff were rude in stall and didn't give two hoots they Just made me drive 40mins to get there. I have now cancelled my order as it was a Christmas Present and ordered it with argos which I can collect the same day.
Hopefully I will receive the refund. They will keep you on hold for hours if they have your money. The frustrating issue is if you call up for on new product on the online chat shop they will answer every time within 2mins just to get the sale and the money. But they have no interest in sorting orders out once they have received the money.
Answer: It's a legit company. But they will try anything to part you from your money (like selling you care plans) and not honouring the sales to a customer who like us bought at a favourable time. If you have complaints they will make it so difficult to complain that only the most tenacious will get through the process. More will give up on the way.
Answer: They have an automatic sorting process in place that takes several minutes to get through, you then get put on hold. Sometimes kicking you out before call is answered and you have to go through selection again. No direct numbers advertised to get you straight to right department, but they do exist. Ask for them once through to an adviser. It will save you lots of time when you need to chase them again. Music on 'hold' is distorted to annoy and frustrate you - close to mental torture! Advisors are following 'scripts' and are not 'able'/allowed to think for themselves. Be prepared to be put on hold and then kicked off the line. They told me they would order a replacement item 3x it never came. So were blatantly lying to me/stalling meanwhile processing refund. Once refunded they are 'unable' to help you with anything. Or is it unwilling? The whole process seems to be set up to deter you from continuing with your complaint. An issue that should have taken max 10 minutes to sort took 5-6hrs and it was sorted to their satisfaction not mine.
