CVS has a rating of 2.0 stars from 419 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about CVS most frequently mention customer service, next day, and several times problems. CVS ranks 799th among Cosmetics sites.
CVS delivery offers the convenience of receiving healthcare products and prescriptions at your doorstep. The plus side is the accessibility of ordering essential items online. Additionally, their delivery service ensures timely arrival of medications and healthcare essentials. However, there are drawbacks to consider. Delivery times can be inconsistent, with some orders experiencing delays without clear communication. Furthermore, issues with order accuracy and packaging have been reported, leading to dissatisfaction among customers. Overall, while CVS offers convenience, improvements in delivery reliability and order accuracy would enhance the overall service.
CVS Pharmacy web site is the WORST! I can never speak to a pharmaist. They almost never get my prescriptions right. They do not validate that my medication is covered by my insurance. My doctor's office called in my latest precripts FOUR times and they still do not show them. Can anyone recommend a good pharmacy in Katy Texas? Thanks, FRUSTRATED

I'm enjoying it so far, but there is a learning curve and I'm still in it. I've lost a few savings opportunities by not knowing about the time clocks & a few of my potential rebates that were clicked on disappeared when I tried to submit them. Now, as soon as I'm in the store, I check Ibotta to see if my rebates are still present & clicked on; then as soon as I get in the car, I submit before they disappear. That's part of the learning curve. I used to wait until I got home or even the next day, but no more. I'm hopeful it will continue to get better & better. I learn more about the site all the time.

I can't speak for all CVS products, but I bought their water flosser, and it was very poor quality. It only lasts for a few months to a year, and not even. The first time I bought it, it worked fine for a few months and then just like that it stopped working. I changed the batteries and tried to fix it, but it simply just would not work so I had to buy a new one. When I bought the new one, it worked fine for a few months. I changed the batteries, kept it clean and enjoyed it for a few months and then one day it had low performance, so I changed the batteries and cleaned it, and used it and then I tried to turn it off, but it wouldn't turn off, so I slammed it down and then it just stopped working like that. It is simply a bad product. A warranty should not be that short for a water flosser. I know that because, years ago, I used the Water Pik water-flosser and that worked well for years so I am going to buy that one again and I think that you should too. Take my advice, be careful what kind of water flosser you buy and don't buy the CVS brand one because it is no good.
I have been shopping on the CVS website as well as in store for years... I am an ExtraCare Plus member (pay a fee monthly or yearly and receive $10 ExtraCare bucks added to your account monthly)... At times I have had trouble with coupons, but the CVS reps can see the mistake and help with it... I'm not sure what the issues are now with CVS... I placed an online order for pick up and utilized the coupons/ExtraCare bucks attached to my account... The deal I thought I was getting was spend $30 get $10 ExtraCare bucks back... I spent over $30 and got 13 cents back, which was for basically shopping at CVS... I contacted the CVS ExtraCare 800 number and the rep Lilly stated I shouldn't have used my coupons... I explained I always utilize my coupons/ExtraCare bucks once everything is added to the cart whether I am shopping in store, online, or online for store pick up... I also explained whether you're shopping in store or online, the system doesn't ask if you want to utilize coupons until right before you make your payment... Lilly continued to state once my coupons/ExtraCare bucks were used that made my total go below $30... I was like of course my total went below $30 after utilizing my coupons/ExtraCare bucks, and it states as long as my total is $30 or more before any coupons/taxes are added my reward is granted... I asked Lilly if I couldn't utilize coupons/extra bucks on my account what's the point in being awarded them; furthermore, why do I pay a yearly fee to CVS to receive a $10 extra bucks coupon monthly... Lilly stated there was nothing he could do and asked if there was anything else he could help me with... I have never heard of not utilizing coupons/ExtraCare bucks that are attached to your account, and I was disappointed with CVS to say the least that they didn't even try to look into what the issue could have actually been...

I now spend over 10 minutes on the phone, talking to Artificial STUPIDITY, trying to get answers from a Pharmacist, only to be asked to leave a voicemail! I use to get through to a REAL person and get the RIGHT answer within minnutes. Artificial STUPIDITY may be making the company more efficient, but it has reduced the efficiency of the MILLIONS of callers. I will be seeking out a smaller pharmacy that still values the customer.
When I put the receipt through, it only excepted it as one arm and Hammer scanned the other one and it said it was only one instead of two, now it says there's three arm +hammers. I only bought two.
We realized we were being billed approximately $5.00 a month for Extra care. Apparently when my wife was at CVS buying medical supplies she was signed up for Extra Care. CVS has no documentation that she signed for the program. She probably indicated when asked if she wanted a discount and she would have of course say yes. Also, to sell at the counter to someone buying Chemo supplies and is about 70 does not sound like it is anyone's best interest. After, almost an hour on the phone it appears we may get a refund.

I've been in the Carepass plan for a very long time. For the past six months or so I've attempted to use my $10.00 at CVS and been told each time that I wasn't in their system. Ironically they continue to take money out of my account for the Carepass plan. I've called numerous times and they always told me (their customer service is NOT in the US) that they fixed the problem and I can use the $10. I went today (reminder this has been going on for over 6 months) to CVS and again was told I was not in the system. Again they took the fee out of my account. I canceled the plan and told the person I spoke with that CVS stole money from my account and that I wanted to be reimbursed (for over 6 months). He said all they could do is allow - yes he said allow - me to have $10. WTF! CVS sucks, they are thieves. If you are with this crooked program get out while you can!
My doctor called in my meds to be refilled. I've been on these meds for 15 years. 2 days later I go to cvs to pick up the medicine. They tell me that they are waiting for insurance approval. I said I need the meds cause I am out so I will pay cash for the medicine. Then they proceed to tell me that I can't get the meds unless I have authorization from doctor to pay for the medication with cash. The doctor is the one who prescribed the medication. I'm sure he doesn't care how it's paid for.

I had a bad experience at the CVS pharmacy at 4302 Cortez Rd. Bradenton Florida on 5-23-24
I had a question about a certain medication and the pharmacist who was black and I believe wore glasses@ about 12:00pm was very rude and seemed like I was bothering him and interrupting him from what he was doing. He did not answer my questions. So I put back all the items I was going to purchase from CVS and went to Walgreens and bought what I needed and the pharmacist answered all my questions. I will not be treated like that by anyone. I guess they do not care about my business. The CVS manager at the Cortez Rd location needs to train their staff on customer service and treating all customers wuth respect! I will not be returning to any CVS store in the future and will post this review on social media sites!
Bad 👎 Bad customer service Campbell Ave West Haven CT Awful Awful Awful 😒 😑 😤 🙄 Disrespectful Customer service 😑
Last night my husband went to CVS in Edgewater, FL. Our dog was seriously ill and we just needed one of the liquid medication syringes they give for free to get some water in to him. Because he was not getting a prescription they refused to give him one, he asked if they had them in the store to purchase or if he could just purchase the ones they give away but they refused. So he drove down the street to Walgreens in Edgewater, FL and they were not only happy to help, they gave him 3 different ones to try. I will be cancelling my Extra Care subscription with CVS and will only go to Walgreens now. Very disappointed in their lack of empathy and willingness to help their valued customers.
Kudo's Walgreens, you just gained a new faithful customer!
I went to CVS today, the one on ******* Seco Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita. Employee name Kaylane provided terrible costumer service. She was not interactive, not helpful at all, not interactive, no eye contact, she looked like she had not had a shower for a week. She was unwilling to help out or answer questions when we asked her about rewards. She was in a bad mood. We go there often and this is the second time we receive terrible costumer service. This particular store might need a serious costumer service review. I would suggest giving some of these young employees costumer service training. Remind them body language and appearance is important. There is a lot of CVS store around SCV, I would rather go to a different one from now on.
The various CVS pharmacies I've been to always seem understaffed. It is difficult to get good care because of understaffing. I've heard I will no longer be able to phone CVS and reach a human. When my doctor renews my prescriptions, I'm having them sent elsewhere.
Corporate CVS It's obvious that you dont value your customers at the pharmacy. I've transferred my prescription three times now, and at each location, I have to wait upwards of thirty minutes in the store or drive through. Its not a peak time issue as I have tried on several ocassions different times. Your employees are consistently courteous and diligent in their efforts to assist the customer. It's also clear that you don't value your staff because nobody should work nonstop at their job dealing with irate clients. You run a multimillion dollar corporation, so stop being so avaricious and straighten things out.

I purchased an Amazon gift card from my local CVS in Nesconset, NY. Upon trying to redeem the gift card, we discovered it was fraudulent and the claim code was removed so I could not redeem it for its $50 value. I returned to the store but they said that they could not help me and I would need to contact CVS's Customer Service group. I opened an investigation and after ~3 weeks, they responded to me taking no responsibility even though the gift card was purchased in their store. They basically told me it was my problem and that I should try contacting Amazon to see if they will credit it me. The Custome Service representative was smug and totally not helpful. I strongly recommend NOT shopping at CVS because they do not stand by their sales.

Horrible Customer Service!
Awesome employees at CVS in Smithfield NC. I thought I had left my photos there and they were willing to reprint them. Come to find out they fell out of the bag in my car. I would recommend printing your photos there
I shop often at cvs on mammoth rd in Manchester nh. The store clerks are always kind and helpful. Summer who was working tonight went out of her way(above and beyond) to help me. Masson is so nice also.
Since this page seems to be referring to CVS.COM and not their physical stores, I'll speak to my web site experience. Unless deeply discount via a special offer CVS.com is much higher than other online competitors. However, even worse, their shipping is PAINFULLY SLOW. I have ordered a number of times when a good deal can be had. If I order from Drugstore.com my order ships in 24 hours (or less) and I have it in 2 days or so. CVS.com can take 3-4 days just to ship an order normally and then you have to endure another 4+ days as UPS slowly moves the package from what seems to be their one distribution center to your home. Maybe you're lucky if you live near it... I don't. They need to get the orders out the door much faster and being such a large company have a few distribution centers like many online retailers so orders don't have to go half-way across the country. I am surprised they haven't tested their competitors and seen how far they lag behind.
I really wanted to give the site a 2 1/2. The product selection is often limited and inconsistent. The shipping, although offered "free" is extremely slow. Speaking to customer service about "normal shipping time" I was told to expect 5 - 10 BUSINESS days. Does it really take two weeks to ship a couple bottles of lotion and some deodorant? I like the convenience of ordering online but with multiple pharmacy options available within a ten minute drive I may have to rethink what I once considered a convenience. CVS is quickly losing points in my preference book.
This programs gives you "extra bucks" reward money. You use it just like currency. You also get exclusive coupons as a member. If you combine the too you can easily get a product(s) for free or almost free. I give 4 stars due to the fact the coupons are always a hassel to go through without the cashier trying multiple, multiple times. FIVE minutes at the register for 1 bottle of nail polish. But, just be patient and you'll get your reward!
The website is slow and crashes often forcing you to start your order over again. I spent almost 2 hours putting an order together on 9/3 using the 30% coupon, tried over and over to submit it and finally was successful or so i thought. Called to check the status after nothing showed up, they have no record of the order that i spent so long creating. They said they would take the order again but the discount expired. So i said no thanks, my being a customer has expired also. DONE. My time is too valuable to waste.
It's a pain every single time trying to pick up a prescription. If I call on the phone to check the prescription status it's almost never accurate. It will say the pharmacy hasn't received a prescription or it's just not ready. I call the drs office every single time and every single it has indeed been sent in. Half the time I'll make the drive over to check on it only to find it was ready all along OR it hasn't even been started and it'll be another hour or two. It's never consistent and it's also impossible to get through to someone who actually works at the local pharmacy. The automated system will just give me the run around forcing me to have to load sick kids into the car and see what's going on in person. Once I had to keep calling the cashier that worked up front and have her transfer me over bc my kids were too sick to load up in the car which led to her getting irritated with me. It's always such a mess!
