Dell's reputation has significantly declined, with many customers expressing dissatisfaction with both product quality and customer service. While some users appreciate the performance of their devices when functioning properly, a pervasive sentiment reveals frustrations over receiving incorrect products, unresolved technical issues, and inadequate support. Customers frequently report long wait times, ineffective assistance, and poor communication from service representatives. The overall trend indicates a growing discontent with the company's responsiveness and reliability, prompting many former loyal customers to seek alternatives. This feedback highlights a critical need for Dell to enhance its customer service and product quality to regain trust.

I got my Dell XPS MI 330 since seven or so years. Twice I changed the battery. It works fine so far with me. Fine product
I use Dell from 6 years ago and running well.
Happy with Dell!
Their website is a confusing mess right now. Trying to navigate my way around it, I will be searching for home office products and next thing I know, I am in a completely different part of the website seeing products not even applicable to me. While they have some decent products, it can be an absolute nightmare trying to find things on their website. Interestingly enough, if you perform a search, you can actually find items that don't appear in their catalog...
Full disclosure: I have always been a Dell denier. Having supported a number of friends and family, it always seemed to be Dell and Acer laptops that I had to service rather than other brands. I am not sure if that's because that's what everyone purchased, or if it were only those that had severe issues. However, I have noticed most of the Dell laptops are from around the same era.
I recently purchased a refurbished E6430 off of their website and it was one of the best laptops I have ever had. I did end up contacting support to ask about something and I had a generally positive experience there as well. I can't really complain about any aspect of the transaction. It is a Linux-compatible laptop and the experience was great overall.
Dell customer service is broken. I'm seriously disgusted with Dells customer service.
I have purchased 5000 series laptop and its worth it. Excellent in design and work
Dell is actually pretty great. I bought an alienware laptop in 2012 and the puchase went smoothly. Plus Dell is one of the few companies that let you finance it so it makes it really easy to get. I bought a new alienware 13 last year... but I didn't like the pc itself so I returned it. The refund went smoothly and had no cost to me. Recently I bought the xps 13 and it's great. I will keep buying from Dell in the future :)
Sadly, there is no way to return a Dell laptop once you buy it online. You get the answering machine run around when you try to have a return lable sent to you so you can ship the product back to them. They make you run out of your 30-day money back guarantee by transferring you to a number that has a message to call back in one hour. We have called them and requested a return label online, for two weeks now, and we are running out of time to return the laptop that cost us a $1000 dollars. Don't ever buy online if you think you may need to return an item to Dell.com
Great customer service which is helpful especially when you need technical questions thru online chat before deciding on what to buy.
I have been using Dell laptop since I was in college still working very smooth. Good quality. This is one of the best companies.
I bought a laptop directly from Alienware.com with price of maximum configuration about $3700. I was satisfied with performance and general look of this laptop, but after 3 days my machine starts rebooting every 3 min. I called customer support and they solved the problem. Reboots were caused by Dell Assist app, so I just uninstalled it.
Then I had issue with customer support representative. After about 1.5 months after purchase I got call from dell customer support and this guy tried to get my gift card information from me. He forced me to forward email with my personal information to him. I called customer support and explained that guy from CS tried to steal my money and this is fraud. But nobody helped me, call was dropped each time. In total I spent about 4 hours during 2 days holding on the line with no results. Each time I explained my case, I heard works: "I'm sorry about your complain, please hold on the line, I will transfer your call to another department..." and that's it! After about 1 hr of listening to music call gets dropped. I wrote several emails, but no response yet.
This is the worst customer support experience I've ever had.
I like my Alienware 17 R3 laptop this is great computer with awesome performance, but I will NEVER buy Dell products because of horrible customer support. I paid about $150 per year for premium support and it is definitely does not worth that money.
P.S. I have all recordings of every phone call and emails from this guy, so I'm going to file a police report regarding fraud attempt from Dell customer representative.
I had some annoying issues with my Inspiron Desktop but got it solved quickly with Dell's customer service. I got the motherboard replaced and now my PC is working fine. It's rare to see a company that still provides such excellent customer service where they take even the time to call you and follow up on your issue making sure everything is resolved. This makes more likely and confident to buy another Dell down the road.
I went to the dell site and found all the drivers and software I needed to get my laptop going again! Thanks Dell.com!
I bought my Dell Inspiron like 5 years ago and still don't have any little trouble with it! Given that I work in IT so my laptop works almost whole week
I've had new dell inspiron, and old ones, I had 2 new ones, they stopped charging, the older one still work longs you keep them plugged in, but besides that, they are pretty good laptops, longs you don't unplug them when your using them, lol
After so many years suffering with my Acer model. This one was great. Works as Swiss watch))
I have been using Dell computers for the better part of my life. The updates sometimes sucks, but the user ability and availability makes it really worthwhile.
I have a dell lapy and i am really satisfied by it. I am using it from last 2 year and still it is in good condition. Even after using it on regular basis, its dosn't hand n all. I do recommend it
Answer: Not upto the mark... felt few hadrware technician are newly appointed were not ble to understand as well as answer the query.
Answer: Cause dell is a complete scam. I regret buying one. Wasted almost a thousand dollars.
Answer: I did. I bought a machine that had hardware issues right out of the box and returned it within the 30-day window. They refunded me 100% of what I'd paid, no problem.
