Direct Unlocks

This is a shady business. They advertise a cheap price to unlock your phone, and its very unclear that after paying this price, there is another charge to finish the process. After discovering this, i decided to not bother; however, they offered me a cheaper deal so i changed my mind. Paid the new lower price, but it turned out to be another "pre-order".
They ignored my emails when i told them the problem, didnt refund me anything, didnt unlock my phone, and have done their best to remove any bad review i post about them. AVOID.

I had serious doubts about forking out £35 to OfficialiPhoneUnlock.co.uk BUT true to their word my iPhone 5 was unlocked 4 days after I booked it in.

I still am bemused by how it gets done technically but it did indeed get done.

Took a couple of days to come through, but received the code and now the phone is unlocked for use with international sim. Was sceptical at first but it worked.

I have been waiting since September for my unlock that I paid a little over 80$ for. No contact has been made on their side involving resolving this issue. I was told a server has to be on. I work in IT and have worked for many companies. The activation servers are always on. I will be reporting the company to the better business bureau

Official iPhone Unlock present you with the idea that the unlocking process is quick and professional, which it is not. I waited over two weeks for my device to be unlocked by a company that advertised seamless 3 day waiting times, instead I was hit with a number of emails detailing delays due to outside issues. I understand the laborious nature of unlocks and I wouldn't have minded the delay had I known that it was likely. But I didn't, which was disappointing

This is a great scam. Got charged 30$ to see if my phone wasn't stolen or anything. Everything was okay, so they said you have to pay 60 to fully unlock the phone. 4 days later is no posible so I got an email saying that they will give me credit. Emailed them back and nobody responded. I contacted my bank so they will fight for me.

I went and paid before seen the reviews and is a $#*!ing scam. They charge you to tell you if they can unlock it and they say yes we can pay another 50 pounds and then they tell you phone is been reported lost or stolen so we can't. I been only owner of this phone and I checked other websites to see if it was reported and is not.is obvious is a scam. Cheack all positive reviews and there is not a single one mentioning how they charge you twice whit out telling you and all negative ones which are real every single one mention it. Just walk away and don't lose your money. I just graduated from law and my first job will be to make sure this web site gets shut down

I'm very pleased with how fast the unlocking process was. It only took them 5 days. Activating my new SIM card was super easy. No need for any software. Just insert SIM and voila, my iphone 6plus was unlocked and SIM activated! Thanks for being true to your promise!

Their initial checks did not reveal to them that the phone was locked, so they charged the final fee and as a result the phone could not be unlocked. I then was informed that at the begging of the process I was made aware that the phone must ask for an unlock code, I was then offered another service for a fee to try and solve that issue, and I was told that they could not refund for that reason. At the very start they should clearly disclose all fees and instructions so this type of situation would not occur. I told them I understand the facts, but my review would not be favorable, even with that they still tried to sell me an additional fee.

I felt like all that was at stake was me asking for a refund, I was blatantly told That the instructions were exact in there requirements and that they would not bee refunding, at one point prior to that they had mentioned a possible credit to some assistance, but when they realized the phone was not asking for an unlock code I was not entitled to that option.

This is definitely a scam! They do a preliminary scan and let you know if you should go further. Of course they told me that everything was all set to go and everything was clean and clear. Then 7 days later while I patiently waited for them to unlock my phone, I was told that it wasn't possible and that I would be issued a credit. Why in God's name would I need a credit for a service that I was only going to use one time? This is a racket! They will take your money with a smile on their face and do nothing for you! If I could give it negative 10 Stars I would! They stole my money and did nothing!

Needed the phone unlocked as I was changing carriers to save some money. On line, I saw the reviews and decided Direct Unlocks was who I would contact. From there it was smooth sailing. I saw one review from some guy saying it was a scam. That individual wrote the only bad review that I saw so his credit card was probably declined for payment and he felt he had to be critical of someone.

I was told carrier said no. Phone is hard locked. They claim multiple methods, but stopped after carrier said no. Useless credit given to me. They credited themselves. My email came from Jody at Directonlocks IMEI **************.

Excellent service and communication. Speedy unlock over the xmas period. My son was dissapointed xmas day due to new iphone being locked to vodafone. Was unlocked in 7 days even with bank holidays and weekends.

This company is a scam DO NOT pay anything to them. I have been waiting for more then 1 month and nothing happened.
And when I asked for a refund they say my headset is not eligible, I asked why it isn't and got no answer.

I did place my order on October 4th 2021 to unlock my T-Mobile carrier locked iPhone 12 Pro and it's been two months there is no progress. No refund has been issued after I requested for refund as per their policy. Beware of DirectUnlock website before you request for unlock.

I waited ten days to have my phone unlocked and paid a preliminary 23% to see if it was eligible to unlock, then a further 77% to perform the unlock. The process initially stated it'd be done immediately; then a timer stated ten days. Then an email came after the initial ten days stating they weren't able to unlock my phone as it was a hard lock— but here's a full credit for myself or any acquaintance to use in the future. No refund, no guarantee. Ten days of waiting and no reward for about $80.
Update: after emailing them requesting a refund, they emailed a little over a week later with a full refund. Thankfully they operated legitimately.

Be careful of the fraud site
The trick is to get the money when you receive the unlock, and then the lost phone after a few days.
These phones can not be unlocked and can not be unlocked. There is no refund, but premium services will be available soon
If you then pay for the additional unlocking service (2 to 3 times more)
As a result, it is a company that does not refund even if it is proved that it was a normal phone.

Never be fooled

Scam. They make the writing small and out of place that tells you there are multiple payments needed. Then once you pay the premium price they ask you for another 100 bucks and won't refund any money but as a credit forcing you to pay the difference they ask for and supposedly if it don't work then you POSSIBLY get a refund to card. Plus this takes DAYS! It's not instant. Just call the carrier and pay their fee. It's cheaper and shorter wait time. I'm now forced to go to bank and file fraudulent charges from a fraudulent site to get my hard earned American money back! Hey unlockdirects… Fix this and I might not share this to every platform known to man!

This is my first review on SiteJabber. Generally I don't review any company online. But after getting back my iPhone from Official iPhone Unlock, I was so happy, I wanted to express it. These guys are awesome. They unlock my iPhone within 2 days which was unbelievable for me as I was asking quotations from many other companies, but they quoted more than 5 days. OPU did a great job. For unlocking the iPhone XR offered to pay $ 19. After payment, a message came that the unlock is ready at 50%, but you need to pay another $ 136. Having paid the full amount, I received a message that unlocking is not possible. Money is not returned. This is a fraud!

Their site web says the unlock price is 19£, but it's just a pre order price. I had to pay a extra of 49£ to continuer the process: O
The processing time was much longer than what they say on the site.

I had unlocked an iphone 6 plus T-mobile USA with them. Everything was ok, but it lasted one month, instead of 7 working days. They were appologizing all the time with emails, but always were true. So Im giving them 4 stars, because my iphone is unlocked and fully functional, but it was done in a month :) Thanks

I have been to many other sites and I found "official iphone unlock", I decided to look at reviews and tons were bad. I never used it but the website looks junky, bad quality, so don't let "their" assurance get the best of you, listen to other people and stay away!
