Took over 20 DAYS to unlock! And spent the 100 to get it unlocked immediately. And bc of the longest waiting time. I now have unlocked my phone for no reason. So direct unlock wasted my time and my money. Sent multiple emails stating that the almost month wait was too much, and wanted a refund but was declined! 0/10. Had to put one star just to even write this review but that's the only reason I put one star. Highly disappointed and definitely not satisfied.

This website is definitely a scam service.
First, they asked to pay 19.99 pounds. A few days later, they asked me to pay 20 pounds more. Then a few days later, they ask me to pay more. I just got to know that it is scam.
NEVER ever send money to them. I have contacted to credit card company to claim about this and they say they will investigate on this. Also, I reported to actionfraud.police.uk

I was pulled in by the £19.99 unlock your phone within 72 hours. After speaking to vodofone who said £40 and taking 2 weeks to unlock.
After paying the initial £19.99 I kept checking the status of my unlock, for them to then say, congratulations, now pay a further £29.99 to unlock your phone. If you didn't read the smallprint, that's tough, I wouldn't be getting my £19.99 back.
I felt like I had been conned and was hesistant to give anymore money. But I did and it took almost two weeks for my phone to be unlocked. I emailed them to say I was unhappy with this service. The customer service email contact says for new customers, existing customers don't bother asking what's going on with your unlock. They explained they were waiting for vodofone to unlock. So basically I just paid £50 for them to ring up vodofone for me with my IMEI number.

I guess if your phone comes from an unknown source poss worth going through them, but I had a brand new iphone with a receipt of purchase. Could have paid 40 and rung vodofone myself.
Been offered £5 back into my account for an honest review. I shall be writing back to let customers know if I receive this.

So my opinion, it u have a poss dodgy handset then go for it. If you got a phone just give ur network up direct.

Website should clearly state the full price at the Start!.

I would like everyone to know about directunlocks because it had such good reviews I tried it.The first thing they do is lie they tell you it's only going to take 28$ to unlock your phone but really they are supposedly checking your Imei to make sure it's not stolen then they tell you if you don't continue you will be out that 28 so you have to pay and additional$50 so they can unlock you do all that you wait it keeps counting down mine kept saying 2 days left never updated and after that 2 weeks I contacted them they said they were still working on it but I was a priority then another week later I said I read the refund policy and if they couldn't do it they said after you paid all of that they would they said another couple days later it required a cable unlock something they couldn't do but I wasnt refunded instead they are giving me credit to unlock another phone if and when I ever get one that they can actually do that is crazy what am I going to go out and buy another phone just so they try to unlock it. What a scam you need to readjust that number on your site it doesn't need to be higher than a 2 maybe some people get legit services but I didn't and honestly this service cost as much as my phone did and really didn't have the money to spare.

I paid to unlock a iPhone 6 locked by Verizon Wireless (USA) and they said to me that I chose the wrong network, since it is locked by VZW - which means VERIZON WIRELESS! They did not unlock it, they said that my iphone is impossible to be unlocked and WORST - they did not refund my money. I'm really disapointed!

I've ordered IPhone unlock on February 3rd 2022. The first few weeks unlocking process was going well, until it stopped on 99%. I've contacted Direct Unlocks on March 4th 2022 and received an email stating: "As soon as we get an update back for a service resuming for your carrier / model combination we will email you". Since then my phone is still on 99% and estimated 7 days remaining. I've contacted Direct Unlocks on April 12th 2022, November 27th 2022, March 7th 2023 and March 8th 2023 but received ZERO ANSWER. WHAT A JOKE, WHAT A SCAM. ONE YEAR AND MY PHONE IS STILL LOCKED. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY DON'T EVER HAVE THE DIGNITY TO ANSWER THE EMAILS.

Stay away from this company. Don't bother with the positive reviews. They are fake reviews they've paid people $5 to write. This company makes millions from scamming people and no one can seemingly stop them.

They have perfected the art of scamming people and are lining their pockets with money from the unsuspecting public. Their website is desgined to pull you in with all the fake positive reviews.

Then they know just what to say to get you to make multiple payments to them. You will end up with your phone still locked and out more than $100.

If after reading this many negative reviews you still go on to buy their service because of their fake positive reviews, then you are only to blame.

Any reputable company offering unlocking service will accept paypal. They won't accept it because they know it's easy to file a dispute with paypal.

They also say in their terms and conditions that if you go online and write negative reviews about them, they'll charge your credit card a defammation charge of $3,000. That is just a threat because they know people will write negative reviews about their scam. And that is why they create all these fake positive reviews to try and counter the real negative reviews.

Stay away from them.

This company provides a FALSE refund policy. It states it will refund but it's a trap, they only provide credit to their company. Do not use this service, it's a SCAM!

Pre-ordered an unlock for an iphone 5S July of this year ($34.00 not exact amount), received an email stating that it was available and that I had to pay the full price ($45.00). I trusted them so I paid the negotiated price. 2-3 weeks passed no communication or updates received from them so I decided to try calling the costumer service phone number on their website, but I was always kept on waiting and after 30 minutes or so they hang up. I tried contacting them through email as well but no response was made. That is when I decided to file a claim on my card. After a week of waiting, I received an email from them stating that the phone was barred and that it cannot be unlocked. I replied and told them it's ok and its just fair to refund me the full amount I paid for the service I didn't get. After 3 days another email from them states that I needed worldwide unlock and it's the only service that can be done to unlock my phone. God forbid I trusted them again and paid them again for the worldwide unlock service ($91.00). It states on their email that it will take 3-20 working days for it to work. Again, after 5 weeks of patiently waiting, tried contacting them again as per usual no follow ups was made. I felt really bad for having been scammed twice by this company. THE GOOD REVIEWS ON THEIR COMPANY ARE PROBABLY PAID EMPLOYEES! I'm still in contact with my bank on filing the dispute charges. All in all I paid them $170.00. That's not cheap for a regular employee like me. Don't trust them. Be wise and just try to unlock your phones through their registered providers.

I thought they could actually unlock my phone. My debit card was stolen and the Thief bought iPhones. Pretty crazy but the thief had the phones sent to a vacant house I was working on! Now I have the stolen phones! The sheriff said they would just set in evidence forever so I should do something nice with them. I donated them to our church office but they have spectrum and the phones are locked to boost mobile. I paid 79 dollars to direct unlocks because they said they could unlock it. Yes I read everything. After I paid the 29 dollars I got an email asking for another 50 dollars. After I paid that 50 dollars they sent an email saying that they had received the payment and in that email they said the phone can't be locked to a carrier. Well duhh. Yes they are locked to a carrier! I've spent 4 hours trying to communicate with Boost representatives who do not speak
Or understand English! It was a waste of 4 hours! I couldn't even give them the phones back because that have reps who don't understand English! If the phones were no longer locked to a carrier (you were done paying and had met your service agreement) you can unlock the phone YOURSELF! Or the new service provider you are switching to can do it for you for FREE! I knew this was a scam when they force you to give a review before they do any service!
