Took over 20 DAYS to unlock! And spent the 100 to get it unlocked immediately. And bc of the longest waiting time. I now have unlocked my phone for no reason. So direct unlock wasted my time and my money. Sent multiple emails stating that the almost month wait was too much, and wanted a refund but was declined! 0/10. Had to put one star just to even write this review but that's the only reason I put one star. Highly disappointed and definitely not satisfied.

It was the most terrifying horrible service you could ask for they say how quick they can get unlocking for your phone is a lie. You have to wait 40 hours for them to find your unlocking software to unlock your phone. Absolutely appalling. Absolutely not recommended to anyone I could go to London and come back and they still not unlocked my phone Their excuses you have to wait the full 40 hours for them to receive or get you the locking software. The cost was out of the roof, not worth every penny.

Phone locked out after a factory reset. Pay about 100 to unlock with their service and what do you know only after getting my 100 do they 'uncover' it will need another 300. I gave it up and the phone was unlocked but it felt quite bad how they could not 'know' this upfront and just be honest then. In the end it worked out but leaving a bad taste in my mouth and let my experience serve as a warning to you. The money and big words they throw around up front to hook you may be followed by having to follow with significant more money to get there.

Service is amazing but I think the amount for device unlocking is totally unpredictable like in the beginning they asked for 25$ to start the process then 70$ to unlock the phone and at that time you are very happy that only in 95$ our phone gets unlocked but all of sudden the new charges appears that is a carrier charges that we need to pay and it's between from 300$ to 700$ then you get shocked now what to do so I think they tell us first how much they charge and what will be carrier fee etc so customer mentally prepared if he wants to unlock the phone or not

I bought a older model smart phone because there small and I know how to use them. It was supposed to be unused and unlocked. It was unused but not unlock. After I bought a case for it and loaded my stuff on it I found out it was locked by att and they refused to unlock it. The website I bought it from said to send it back for a refund but I already had time and money invested in it and I liked it. So I found direct unlock on line and they had it unlocked in 24 hours. At first I thought it might be a scam but they have alot of good reviews because they get it done. Thanks guys.

My phone was already unlocked and when running the check I was told it was not. Paid 28$ to be told the phone was locked and could be unlocked. Then paid $50 to proceed with the unlock. Something made me call the carrier to check to see if phone was locked and they confirmed it was not. I was able to add it to my son's account with his carrier immediately. 4 days later this company is still "unlocking" my already unlocked phone. I would not believe the scam they do that you have to pay for. Call your carrier first!

THIS IS A SCAM. I thought that this was a real unlocking service but it's not.
They'll make you pay $20-$30 for an initial check or if your phone is "safe" to work with.
I found out that you can easily do this online FOR FREE.

Then after the check-up, they make you pay another $130 for the actual unlocking.
It's not true. They'll make you wait for days on end and then send you a fake email to teach you how to unlock it yourself. Please report this website.

They'll reply with a fake account and not even a real person to make you feel like they're actually working on your phone. Great scheme. Watch out everyone.

This is a scam! They make it *look* like you'll only pay $29, but after you've paid that, they say you have to pay another $49 for them to finish the job! If you dig deep into their terms of service, you'll eventually find that they refer to the $29 a "Pre-Order Fee".

Who knows? They might charge a 3rd or 4th fee, and they might never actually unlock your phone... I never know, because I decided to cut my losses and not take the risk of paying out even more money to a company that uses deceptive tactics.

I suppose it's a good scam for them, because they actually do mention the second fee... in faint, small print off to the side... so they can always *claim* they didn't hide anything, even though they obviously were trying to deceive.

They also *claim* that this is all explained on their "price list", but the link to their supposed price list (https://directunlocks.com/pricelist) just takes you back to their home page.

Tip for consumers:
Read every bit of fine print for the "gotchas", and make sure it's actually worth paying over 2½ times the amount displayed in big letters!
But, if you have to work that hard to protect yourself from overlooking a "gotcha", then you're really better off taking your business somewhere else.
