Took over 20 DAYS to unlock! And spent the 100 to get it unlocked immediately. And bc of the longest waiting time. I now have unlocked my phone for no reason. So direct unlock wasted my time and my money. Sent multiple emails stating that the almost month wait was too much, and wanted a refund but was declined! 0/10. Had to put one star just to even write this review but that's the only reason I put one star. Highly disappointed and definitely not satisfied.
I needlessly ended up paying £37.99 to get my iPhone unlocked only to later find I didn't need to. It turns out that all iPhones on the EE network are unlocked as standard, a fact I suspect this company know full well!
This company claiming to unlock a phone which is already unlocked is deceptive and borders criminal behaviour.
If you have an iPhone on EE, do not fall for this con. Your phone handset is already unlocked and can take any SIM card for UK networks.

The service was good but I had to wait almost a week before receiving the codes to unlock my device. Direct Unlocks kept me upto date with what was happening on the site rather than emailing which would have been better.

They charge you 2 times. They dont unlock your cell. Just after 10 days says its imposible to do it and give you a credit note. There is nobody in the other side. All the aswers are made from chatgtp. Dont waste your money with this company. They are fraud and scam

NOT A SCAM TRUST ME!DirectUnlocks.com Got my iPhone 14 pro max unlocked from Spectrum WHILE STILL OWING THEM MONEY ON THE PHONE. 04/03/24 is when I started the process and they finished 04/13/24 So satisfied with the service, I didn't even know if this was possible and I know a lot of crazy tricks in this world lol. Look dude or lady lol, I fully THOUGHT I was being scammed by directunlocks.com after foolishly paying for the service and then after paying checking reviews, but all these negative reviews are very judgmental skeptical people who only paid the first initial eligibility fee and NEVER PAID THE SECOND OR THIRD PAYMENT, IT FULLY WORKS NOT A SCAM AT ALL. Granted that is kinda a bait and switch tactic but hey they got my phone unlocked from spectrum and I owed quite a bit on it still lol. Plus their customer support actually responded quickly and frequently and answered all my questions. They are a little vague when it comes to details but hey like I said it really do end up working out for me. So I am beyond grateful and satisfied with the service provided, it did take nearly 9 and a 1/2 of the 7 days that they provided as a time window but I cannot complain I now have an iPhone 14 pro max I paid only 360$ for INCLUDING THE $29.99 ELIGIBILITY CHECK AND 50$ THE FIRST INITIAL BASIC SERVICE FEE and finally $235 THE PREMIUM SERVICE FEE AS WELL straight up great deal directunlocks got sh*t done for me, trust the process as long as your phone is not blacklisted, and I can check that yourself for free, the service will work just give it the time and you will be happy I swear. I tripped out too thinking I got scammed but it really really worked. Fully satisfied customer on 04/13/2024

This company is a scam. They hide their real, total price for unlocking a phone, if they even do at all, in all the endless legal jargon in terms of service. My fault for not getting my magnifying glass to scour the terms of service. A legitimate company/business would be upfront about what your $28.99 will really get you. Nothing. Another $50 to unlock phone (so they say). If course no refunds. Stay away

The website is extremely misleading about what you will pay; they have it big and bold that it's ONLY $28.99 and then hidden in grayed-out fine print that it will be much more. Once you check out, they have you locked into their scam, and you can't get your money back, or they will blacklist your phone. I could buy a new phone for the price they are demanding after you pay the unlock fee. Literal blackmail.

The service is highly appreciated. Especially when breaking up with phone companies after so many years and they are not trying to give you your device. Or even release your number. I had issues with T-Mobile for many years now and it was just that time to let them go. Well they didn't want to let my phone number go or my devices that were paid off. It might have taken a few days but I am very please I was able to keep my phones that i spent hundreds of dollars on. When I has a concern about the unlocking process and i needed to reach out to support they answered and answered with a valued explanation.

Had me take a photo of me holding the payment debit card to "make the transaction secure" Then the next morning I wake up to find an email telling me they'll now release my unlock code for another £30.00+ payment!? I just don't get how these people live with themselves. Anyway don't waste your money with these charlatans!

I was not clearly informed of the requirement for an additional payment other than the one I already made to unlock my phone.
I am seeking a full refund for being mislead by Direct Unlocks when purchasing services. I can see from reviews that I am not the first to be mislead.
I have also reported this to Trading standards as the ad breached CAP Code (Edition 12) rules 3.1 and 3.3 (Misleading advertising), 3.7 (Substantiation), 3.17 (Prices), and 3.22 (Prices)

Hidden cost... Rip off! They make the steps clear on the site, once payment is received, checks are done, and provided they pass you'll get the code... However once I've paid the £11.99 and the checks are passed you have to pay a further £20 to release the code. So £31.99 to unlock a 10 year old Nokia for my mum. Called 6 local phone shops and got quoted £15-£20, should have just gone to one of them instead and saved the money. If your looking for a cheap phone unlock service DO NOT use this site
This is a proper scam, when you are first at the order details page just before payment I can confirm there is no mention at all of any extra fees until after you have paid then they change what you're device will see, basically if you try and go through the ordering process again you see a different version of the website with the details of extra payments on the order page quite clearly, making you think you miss read it. I have reported this to action fraud and I am currently requesting a refund through the payment company Nochex that handled the payment (similar to PayPal) and I suggest everyone does the same, you are within your right as at a minimum the receipt doesn't match what they are making out you ordered. As a online consumer you have a massive amount of rights these days! They are also giving incentives for 5 star reviews.

I might be the only person duped by the $28.99 when the company wanted another $45.00 to complete the process for an iphone 7. I've reached out to my bank to stop the payment as a bait and switch tactic is going on. How can these folks get a 4.5 star review.
They don't clearly tell you that you are paying for an pre-eligibility check upfront... Btw mine is still in process on the pre-check but I was able to switch carriers. Can't wait to see if they tell me I'm eligible to pay the next few when it was ready. I recommend the unlocking company! Much cheaper and up front!
