So far I have only been in contact with Jonathan once for his complimentary diamond concierge service with Bluenile, but I can say it was one of the best decisions I have made so far in this engagement ring process! He was very knowledgeable, informative, easy to talk to, and helped me find a beautiful diamond. He is also working on some custom setting design ideas for me right now and I am eager to see what he puts together! Would highly recommend the diamond concierge service to anyone looking for some expert insight on what diamond to choose.
Buying a ring can be stressful and difficult. You get thrown at you all these numbers and specs and it's overwhelming. Enter Jonathan. We had such an amazing time working with him. We started with him 1/16 and within three weeks, I had the perfect ring. He's an expert in diamonds and he knows exactly what you want. I was iffy on buying a diamond without looking at it but with Jonathan, you don't need to look. He vets the diamonds himself and picks the best one for you. He was very kind and patient throughout the whole process. We had so many questions and he answered each and every one of them. We ended up with a gorgeous 1.53 ct E VS2 cushion that sparkles like no other! We highly recommend him and his company; they are so honest and trustworthy!
I have just purchased a pair of moissanite studs from Jonathan. Although this was a relatively small transaction compared to most, he was very attentive, professional, and did his utmost to ensure I am a happy customer... and indeed I am! My fiance was and is very very VERY particular about her jewelry tastes. I had to do a lot question asking, changing our order multiple times, and through out the entire process they were very understanding, patient, and helpful. They really made it a great experience, and my fiance loves her engagement ring.

Jonathan did a great job interpreting my inspiration photos to design a custom setting. The diamond is flawless and sparkles beautifully. I am so happy to be wearing this gorgeous ring.
I just received my custom cut, lab diamond AVR, and it's so beautiful that I was shaking when I opened the package. Jonathan was an absolute joy to work with: He was super available, very responsive, knowledgeable, kind, and funny too! I had my custom stone set in his AV solitaire setting and it is perfection. I been working with Jonathan on replacing my wife's engagement ring with custom 4 carat ring. My wife is extremely picky and not easily impressed. When we received the ring, she was beyond surprised, the cut is unbelievable! All I can I say is wow, she's over the moon! We loved it so much we are in the processs of commissioning another piece.
I purchased a drop dead gorgeous AVC stone from AVI, and words cannot describe the beauty. Besides the fact that the AVC is the most gorgeous, perfectly cut, perfectly colored stone I've ever seen- this man goes above and beyond for his customers. Being that I spent under $2000 (definitely a lot less than his usual customers) he still provided me with 110% amazing customer service. Any time of day, he answered all my crazy questions. Jonathan just wants his customers to be happy, he's so kind and understanding. I will never purchase diamonds/moissanites from any other vendor. Only AVI. His wife is also VERY kind and helpful. I just can't say enough good things about this company. They are AMAZING!
So, from the start, my fiancée and I were against buying from the "big box" retail stores at the mall. I came across Distinctive Gem and their work through a Reddit recommendation. I decided on a lab grown diamond and the hearts and arrows cushion cut just stood out to both of us. Long story short, I reached out to Jonathan and he made the process so easy and was there to answer any questions I might have. I was hesitant to buy a stone/ring sight unseen (I saw images, but not in person), but the process was so simple and I was not let down once I had the end result in my hand. Excellent work and am definitely returning to purchase the matching wedding band!
