I have been extremely satisfied with every product I have purchased from DTC but you definitely pay for it. The pants I purchased are their 40 grit pants which were cheaper than their firehouse pants but are super durable and comfortable. Buck naked boxer briefs are the best underwear I have ever worn (this includes over expensive underwear from express, and american eagle). Personally, I just wait for a sale since things are expensive but the quality and customer service is amazing.
I love this company and have spent quite a bit of money on especially the heirloom overalls and no yank boat neck tanks. I recently tried a new jumpsuit hoping it would be ideal for upcoming European travel. It was, unfortunately, too difficult to get on and off. I was dismayed to find it would be $8 to return. In this day and age of rising prices and unmitigated corporate greed, I will think twice about ordering knowing that I will take a hit on my refund if I find the product unsatisfactory. Very disappointed.
My understanding is that the Visa credit card company requires merchants to wait to charge the customer's credit card until the order actually ships. Duluth lets the carrier know there will be an order coming and they seem to count that as shipping the order. I received an email stating my order was shipped but when I tried to track the order the carrier stated they had not received the package. This is the first time I have come across this when dealing with a major merchant. It's not a good business practice and it will definitely stop me from ordering from Duluth again. I tried to call to inquire but there was a fifteen minute wait to talk to a customer service representative so I sent an email inquiring about the status of my order.
I used to buy all the time from Duluth, but their "Made in the USA" mantra seems to have disappeared, and it seems to me they really don't care about their customers as long as they are making a quick buck.
I purchased two packs of underwear and they came in as shown below. The very least an underwear company could do is package their product so it seems like someone else hasn't ALREADY WORN YOUR UNDERWEAR. This is so egregious that it almost seems like a joke.
I contacted customer service and they said "oh darn, we'll email an exchange slip to you." Thanks, Duluth. I cannot wait to exchange my used $60 underwear for another pair of used underwear. I wonder if they could give me a $5 gift card for the gas it'll take to return this.
Aside from my Duluth Trading Company Beanie for the colder weather times, I was never much into wearing hats but as the recipient of very late onset Vitiligo, I have become concerned about sun exposure to my face, so I bought a Mens Crusher Hat. It looks and feels great, including the breeze coming in through the top. Drop a heavy bag of stuff on it? It springs back to life like those trick birthday candles. And like all products I have purchased from Duluth, it arrived sooner than expected, just in time for a stretch of 90+ degree weather here in the Seattle area.
I've ordered 3 items from this company via the web. They have managed to screw up all 3 items requiring me to make multiple calls trying to fix the various problems. I'm waiting to see it they've been fixed - won't know until I receive the most recent 2 items or not. Maybe buying in the store is the only way to deal with them. It's certainly the only way I'm going to do business with them in the future. I like their products but hate their web processing.
Tip for consumers:
Total goofs regarding web purchases. If they are out of stock, why doesn't the website say so?

Sizes are designed for those who love their snacks so T shirt was like a huge garbage bag. Had to pay shipping and it was extremely slow. Went to return (the shirt I was unable to try on) and found out I had to pay 8 bucks for a T-shirt... Come on folks let's not fund your profits through expensive returns that you probably get a kick back from the USPS. Nice business model: charge $8 dollars every time someone wants to try on a shirt and you'll get rich bilking the hard working middle class that you relentlessly target. I'll keep the stupid shirt and buff the car with it - a reminder not to do business with Duluth any more. They are certainly no Amazon and I should have never fell for their TV ads. I don't usually con easy but I broke my own rule of not dealing with TV advertising companies that have these clever or really sincere advertisements. Save some money stick with Amazon.

I bought a pair after I saw the commercial with the beaver who bites the leg and his teeth fall out. I use them at the dog shelter where I volunteer. A pit bull bit the pants leg and tore a hole in it. When I called the company they said it's not warranted for that.
For years I've been a satisfied customer...until Christmas of 2023. The products are fine. The customer service is not what it once was. A simple return became a major ordeal. The communication from Duluth was poor and misleading. The refund took twice as long to receive as they said it would. Other items that I ordered were out of stock. I understand that sometimes happens but they took a long time to tell me it wasn't coming. If I ever find myself inside a Duluth store I may buy again, but not online.

I ordered Christmas gifts on November 25. Found out today, December 10, that my orders will not be here by Christmas! They said oops we ran out of underwear yet ads are still airing every time I watch TV. Terrible business practices!
You can't change a order after it's placed, even if it's a minute. Duluth customer service told me they are not allowed to change, cancel,a order you have to wait till the order is shipped.i told them that they had my old address and yes I did give them my new address.stupidest company I ever dealt with.be aware

I have been purchasing Duluth clothing for an easy 10 years. Work construction fantastic pants and coveralls worth every penny. But it has gotten to the point unless I am able to go to one of their stores I am no longer purchasing from them. They're shipping is absolutely horrendous I I buy a ton of merchandise online they are by far the worst company with regards to shipping that I have ever seen. Just horrible. At least with other companies if you want to pay extra for UPS you can. With Duluth it doesn't make a difference you are not getting your merchandise for 3 weeks at best. They continue to use the post office I cannot be the only one I'd love to know how much business they're losing because of their shipping.

Ever since they dropped the no bull guarantee the quality of their products has taken a huge tumble. Pockets come apart just from keeping stuff in them, zippers wear out quickly. I'm actually writing this review from work where I have to figure out what to do because the button just came off. It's a sad deal, I found my favorite clothing story right as they were about start to start making their products cheap.

After 7 weeks, 5 phone calls, and 5 excuses I am still waiting for my refund. I exchanged and then returned a pair of unworn Borne boots. I have never had a problem with Duluth but will not buy from them again!

Returns are expensive. Shipping is incredibly slow even if a large order. Stores can have a shirt for $70 that is on sale online for $31-$41. Refunds can take months. Another example of a great company until the founders sell out to some corporate behemoth. Quality and stitching is very very good. But they could massively improve customer relations. An order I made is still not here after 10 days. Free shipping, but when?
Tip for consumers:
Don’t buy from a store. It may be half price online. Sneaky sales tactics. Refunds can take months. Miserable customer service employees

The Women's Can-Do Canvas coat fits perfectly, has plenty of easy to use pockets, an inner drawstring to tighten the waist.
The hood sits well with excellent coverage.
But the dye from this coat rubbed off on the seats of my car.
I submitted photos per Customer Care showing the damage, and cleaned the upholstery as instructed.
After cleaning, the dye remained and Customer Care said they recommend all clothing be washed prior to wearing therefore they would not offer any reimbursement or refund.
I was not aware of this policy and asked them to show me where such information was provided.
Have not heard back from them.
I suppose it's a good thing I didn't sit on a $4,000 couch!

I paid 58.57 for 3 pair of these Inferior made underwear. I wore them each once. One pair had a big hole (not on a seam)after laundering. They refused to do anything saying it was "wear and tear"! Another bad product Made in China!
Tip for consumers:
Read the reviews. Poor quality material used.

I purchased a coat online that went on sale before it was shipped out. I emailed customer service requesting an adjustment but received no response. I called today and was told they don't make adjustments if it goes on sale after purchase. The girl was rude and insisted my order date was 1/7 but it clearly said date ordered 1/8. Most stores will do price adjustments in these type cases but not Duluth. Very disappointed. Received the coat and so far, though, it appears to be good quality.
Tip for consumers:

After you have made your purchase they make it very clear that they don't care and brush you off. They are extremely rude and unhelpful. The warranty is non existent. I have had negative experiences my last two purchases. I suggest rethinking supporting this company. In store reps are great but good luck with customer service agents if you have any issues. Awful company.
Tip for consumers:
Shipping is very very late and you are unable to cancel or change your order once made. They say this is due to how fast they process orders but that is a load of crap as I am still waiting for my order to ship.

Poor! I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this company. On their website it stated guarantee delivery before Christmas. They emailed twice stating that my order was expected to arrive by 12/23. Now it will not be arriving until 12/28. The company's solution... print out a photo and wrap it up. What a JOKE. Never again will I be mislead by this company. By the end of my conversation with Duluth I was told,"it's your fault". Are you kidding me? Wow!
Horrible They somehow decided to ship to mom's name and address. Hubby called, waited online, left call back…no call back. Finally all was well and changed order to our address. Today we get notified they shipped my mom anyway. She doesn't even live there anymore. No more Duluth Trading for us.
Ordered a single pair of jeans. On the web site it said they have the size I need. Then the confirmation e mail said they are out so it will be a month before they are sent. To make matters worse it also says I cannot change my order (cancel). So I'm in desperate need of pants and I chose to spend my hard earned money on a new brand that supposedly is tough. Well at this rate the $20 pants from Walmart are not looking too bad. If you are a Duluth fan I herd its better to order from Amazon or another site. Sad day Duluth really wanted to be a new customer but at this rate I'm gonna stick with the cheep pants that fail in 2 months rather than waiting 2 months to get a pair.
Tip for consumers:
Order from Amazon or other site not the Duluth site says its in stock then the confirmation email says out of stock. Also says you can't cancel your order if you are not satisfied with the delivery time. A month till they get sent? Should have gone to Walmart.

They were out of my size and the staff member we were working with immediately offered to order it at no extra charge. All the other staff were polite, helpful, and friendly. The clothing item (overalls) is both fun and durable, as proven by my wearing and washing many times. We are also very happy with some luggage we purchased there. I wonder if the in-store experience is different? We have not ordered online,

There was a boot being advertised in their new catalog for an incredible price so I called them & spoke to customer service & manager- neither one would honor their own pricing from their own catalog... wow! Very dishonest company. Shop LL Bean or Lands End... they are very honest companies to purchase from!
We live in Hawaii and heard about Duluth. The quality of their products are wonderful. I ordered a large order for my husband for Christmas and one of the items a bit too big. The exchange was easy and quick. This is our favorite online company for great quality clothes. Highly recommend.
