I have been extremely satisfied with every product I have purchased from DTC but you definitely pay for it. The pants I purchased are their 40 grit pants which were cheaper than their firehouse pants but are super durable and comfortable. Buck naked boxer briefs are the best underwear I have ever worn (this includes over expensive underwear from express, and american eagle). Personally, I just wait for a sale since things are expensive but the quality and customer service is amazing.
I love this company and have spent quite a bit of money on especially the heirloom overalls and no yank boat neck tanks. I recently tried a new jumpsuit hoping it would be ideal for upcoming European travel. It was, unfortunately, too difficult to get on and off. I was dismayed to find it would be $8 to return. In this day and age of rising prices and unmitigated corporate greed, I will think twice about ordering knowing that I will take a hit on my refund if I find the product unsatisfactory. Very disappointed.
I bought a leather belt about 10 years ago. It's clearly printed on the backside as Lifetime Guaranteed.
I'm still alive. It's my mistake that I would actually live longer than the belt... and the B. S. guarantee.
Really disappointed with the new version of the Firehose pants. Material feels like some sort of stretchy cheap knit. Pockets are now shallow, so when I sit or lay down, everything falls out. I've been buying these for years. Won't buy another pair. Carhhart pants for me next time.
Their advertising worked; I decided to buy a pair of firehose flex carpenter pants. Unfortunately, after wearing them roughly 5 times, I was building a deck one day, barely rubbed past a nail and tore a hole in the seat. I think literally every other piece of work clothing I have is more durable. Absolute garbage. To put the icing on the cake, customer service told me I'm out of luck (in friendlier and more political terms). No refunds or exchanges.
If Duluth Trading put some of their marketing budget toward product development, I'm guessing they would have much happier customers (albeit fewer of them... and we all know it's about the almighty dollar). Suffice it to say I will not be patronizing this company again.
I used to work for a Duluth Trading Retail store. It's one of the worst experiences on the planet. Customers are entitled and they don't read any of the signage in the store. There is a clear checkout line but they insisted on just walking up to any old counter. The managers were too busy feuding amongst themselves to get any work done. The clothing is overpriced. While we did inventory the actual cost to make $30 underwear was like $2.50. Ripoff. Also, customers, do not go into that store to pick up your online order if you did not get an email saying it's ready. Regardless of what the website says. Those poor part-timers have enough to deal with.
Excellent winter wear. Excellant toys for Christmas.
I didn't care for the name brand underwear, weird fit, but their work pants can not be beat. Definitely try out the fire house and fleece lined products. Must have for cold climates.
Great add campaigns. Great returns.
I have purchased the same pair of pants multiple times over the years at both retail locations and online. I have worn many of them until the bottoms are all frayed. The are a more expensive option than equivalent brands but I have been pleased in the past. Instead of contacting me to tell me the item that I ordered that was in stock when I placed the order- was no longer in stock and discontinued. The just cut corners to get the order out the door whether it was correct or not. It has gone from what I considered a top notch company, but now downgraded to a Buyer Beware! They no longer stand by their commitment to their customer and don't care about the consumer. I posted this same review on their website but conveniently it did not get posted -- so the reviews the do have on their website are probably fake.
Tip for consumers:
Buyer Beware - you may not get what you ordered

Purchased Duluth's firehose flex pants and have been using them for about 6 months now. Duluth firehose pants are tough as they claim to be, worth the price if you work outside, in rougher conditions, or need flexible pants. The crotch gusset is the best thing to ever happen to me,(not literally) I'll never buy jeans again.
Used to buy t shirts from them. Bought 4 about two weeks ago. Absolute garbage. I could fit an elephants head thru the neck and it wouldn't stretch more than they do now …. Any larger neck hole and my wife could wear it off the shoulder…
I don't know what everyone's problem is but my family loves their products. I bought 2 pair of Flex Fire Hose pants for my son who drives for a living and he absolutely loves them. He and I both think these pants are very comfortable. They do shrink a little so keep that in mind. I like my Levi's, Wranglers, etc. but these pants are so much more comfortable and look good. Sorry I do not have my proof of purchase but I and my family are true customers. Denton TX store!

I ordered two t-shirts from them this past summer and they came within a week and it is now October and the shirts are holding up nicely after washing them at least 2 to 3 times a month. I will be ordering from this company again as they shirts are perfect to cover the back even when bending and sitting on the floor and the quality has proved to be great!
I placed an order for Duluth trading and received three different sizes of one item some packages had been reopened basically they gave me what they had. I sent the items back in the same package they were shipped in. It took them one month and 4 days to receive the package back to them. They have told me four different dates when my package was to arrived back to me so far they will not send me a tracking number because that tells where it's coming from. The girl I talked to on the phone was from the Philippines. She said most of the orders come from there. This is a disgrace
Tip for consumers:
This company is operating out of the Philippines this is sad

The higher level management of e-commerce and customer service at Duluth Trading is disgraceful. Do not wast your time there, talking with nice operators comes back with discussing helpless solutions after long holds. Usual talking time on my 3 phone conversation was about an hour. They LIE and claim they do international shipping. No they don't! It's fake. They don't take international card. They don't honer the promotion when you place your order. They just tells you to go online to their problematic website and do it yourself.
Tip for consumers:
Do not bother getting any technical help on the phone. It is what it is.
Duluth Trading sells work-oriented clothing. The quality is very high. The prices are about what you would expect for quality items. Their web site is easy to navigate, but some of the illustrations leave some to be desired.
Service is quick and painless. Everything is fully guaranteed.
Have been using their outdoor gear for a.nit over 10 years now. Highly durable with an eye to function. Waterproof means waterproof. The temp specs means you'll be warm at that temperature and not "just not freezing to death."
Gave up Carhart for Duluth and never. Looked back.
I ordered a pair of men's cargo pants online. Discovered the color pants I wanted were on a different page of the Deluth site. Called customer service 5 minutes after placing my order and was told they would not make any changes to the order. No explanation as to why. A+ for killing repeat business.
I had placed an order. When I got home my package was in shreds! I found the pants (although torn). I called and explained that the delivery people didn't go by my request as to where to out the package. Also it was a gift (in less than a week). Today I came home and had a new pair! Thank you for saving my Christmas present! You made my day!

I have worked in customer service for over 12 years and I am truly appalled at how bad this companies customer service is. The consistently hang up and disconnect from customers. They do not tell you how the return process works, what you should do or what is happening next. They just disconnect. I have tried multiple times over the span of several days and this is consistently what they have done. I still have no clue what is going on with my order, never received a confirmation email and my purchase never showed up under my account orders yet they are more than happy to take the money for the purchase out of my account and that is the only confirmation I have received. Ironically they ask for a order number when I contact customer service, well Duluth if you sent me one that would be helpful. Will NEVER purchase from this company again. NEVER
I saw the reviews but I didn't want to believe it. So I placed an order. The reviews are spot on! Shipping suks! I purchased 2 day delivery at 25 bucks thinking I was smart but was a dumb idea. They charged me 34.00 for shipping which I did not agree. Also my product is taking longer than 2 days. I'm done with this company. It only takes once for me!
I've ordered many times from Duluth. Both the men's and women's clothing lines are well made and durable. The most ordered items for me are the long-tailed t shirts and the men's socks. I also ordered a pair of women's leather boots from them a few years back and they still look great. A bit more expensive but definitely worth it.
Go to Duluth's website and see if you can put a "clearance" item in your cart. It will show up as the full price because the website deceivingly makes you think that the item colors are "clearance" colors and on sale. Um, how misleading is this
Bought 2 pair of their lined work pants for winter. I work outdoors all year round in Michigan. I didn't even get a full season out of my pants before they started to fall apart. Heck I still have 3 of the 5 pair of winter Levi's I purchased 3 years ago. Duluth makes their pants out of chineesium fire hose materials. I have since started spending my money on 1620's. We shall see how they do. After all 1620's only guarantees their pants for 1000 years. Duluth is a waste of money. I called corporate and told them their clothes might be good enough to run sky hooks and calibrate board stretchers. Corporate had know idea how to calibrate board stretchers much less run a sky hook. These people have no idea how to make clothing for it's intended use. I would have done better to shop at the GAP.
Tip for consumers:
It would have been helpful to know about 1620's workwear. Actual workwear.

I ordered my Christmas gifts from Duluth for my boys. 2 pair of the 4 pair I bought needed to be a smaller size. I was told by Heidi that it will take 2 months for me to receive my return. Keep this in mind when ordering. I have been a customer for a few years and I have never had any issues in the past. Heidi ( WEB*******) did let me know the company is fully aware that it takes this long now. Today, they lost my business. 2 months is absurd.
This store is an embarrassment. Their customer service is garbage and they try to steal returns from customers. The manager was rude and would rather argue with customer than care. This is hands down the worst customer service experience I've had in a clothing store. I've always been a fan of Duluth Trading and would spend a few hundred dollars a year on them. This store has made me a raving detractor for their business. Oh and I had to go back because their jeans zippers fall down.
I buy my clothes from either LL Bean, Lands End, and Deluth. I have been buying exclusively from Deluth the past few years and you can't beat the quality of Deluth. They last years, and years. The fit is right on. Christmas shopping was so easy. I don't shop in stores anymore. I find what I want at Deluth. Yes, they cost more but are well worth the price. I am a mature women and the clothes fit me so well and keep me feeling young, Barbara from Western Massachusetts
I have been using Duluth underwear for two years now. My wife bought them for me as a joke because of their funny, witty comerials. I just received two sweaters that I ordered last week. My daughter got me a gift card because she knows I love their products The underwear are the best! They are a bit expensive, but worth every penny. Wives, girlfriends this is the place to shop for the perfect gift for you man.
