I have been extremely satisfied with every product I have purchased from DTC but you definitely pay for it. The pants I purchased are their 40 grit pants which were cheaper than their firehouse pants but are super durable and comfortable. Buck naked boxer briefs are the best underwear I have ever worn (this includes over expensive underwear from express, and american eagle). Personally, I just wait for a sale since things are expensive but the quality and customer service is amazing.
I love this company and have spent quite a bit of money on especially the heirloom overalls and no yank boat neck tanks. I recently tried a new jumpsuit hoping it would be ideal for upcoming European travel. It was, unfortunately, too difficult to get on and off. I was dismayed to find it would be $8 to return. In this day and age of rising prices and unmitigated corporate greed, I will think twice about ordering knowing that I will take a hit on my refund if I find the product unsatisfactory. Very disappointed.
After many years of buying Duluth Trading clothing, I have seen the quality decline. They don't even understand their own warranty. I guess they need to look up the definition of defective. They admitted to me they know they have a problem with their zippers. When I pay $90 for an Alaskan hardgear jacket I expect that product to perform as advertised. My particular jacket has been discontinued. These people lost a customer because of a defective zipper. Goodbye Duluth Trading, I'm going back to Carhartt...
While Duluth is a little pricey, their products are fantastic. I usually wait for clearances sales because of this, but their clothes are actually both comfortable and rugged as advertised. Probably not for the city dwelling attempting to be outdoorsy type, but if you really do frequent areas where clothes need to be sturdy and you want to do it comfortable, this is the product for you.
Tip for consumers:
Anyone who wants comfortable and sturdy clothes

ALL of you that have left negative reviews need to check yourselves. Are you really going to be turned off by a little hassle, or the wrong size or color? You oviously haven't shopped with this company from the beginning. Quality of something that will last a lifetime far outweighs hiccups or mediocre customer service through these strange times. And yet Duluth will make it right. Can you tell me YOU have it together during Covid? What makes you think businesses are any different? And please notice all future reviewers that most these negative reviews are during Covid! Companies are dealing with the same you are right now as well as keeping quality staff. To me it seems all your concerned about is fashion. Not quality. And too bad your not seeing that all their products are both which is rare. Maybe you need to all be shopping at Abercrombie and Fitch. You'll go back to Duluth.
I haven't shopped DTC in years. I cancelled their catalog and emails because not only had I sent most of my purchases back for being too long, too tight or otherwise ill-cut for my body (which wears a size 4-6 typically) but I was tired of the stunts they would pull with shipping, sales and various coupons. If I had a coupon for free shipping and an item happened to be on sale, I had to choose between the sale price and the coupon. More than once I had JUST ordered an item when it went on sale, and when I asked for a price adjustment I was told that this wasn't their policy. All of this was provided that they actually had an advertised item in stock as they were often out of something by the time I received either their catalog or a sale announcement. Apparently this company works for some people but not for me.
I bought pants there and in a half yr the pockets were coming loose at the threads, so i sent them in for the manufacturing defect. They disposed of the pants and wont refund/exchange/ or return my pants. Waste of money!
3weeks went by and no order and they claim post office lost the order but refused to refund my money. The rep on the phone stated if I do received the order and want to return it will cost me 7.95. Total BS buyer beware they are crooked. Amazon has a no hassle return policy is the way to go. The claim over no bull! Is completely BULL!
I have been a loyal customer for several years. After speaking with customer NO service this morning over some defective Duluth underwear with bad waist bands. I was told no receipt bought six plus months ago (i dont keep receipts that long). WE CAN'T HELP YOU. Hope Duluth Trading can understand i cannot no longer help or support your products that you do not back-up.
I have tried to find the right workwear to fit my small frame for years and have ended up wearing bulky and low quality stuff until now. I am so happy that ai have finally found a company that sees a need for women workwear. I am 110 lbs and 5.4" and finally have something that not only fits but is also made to last. Thanks Daluth

I have had the opportunity to order products from Duluth trading.com on two separate occasions one time I ordered two pairs of firehose jeans which fits perfectly as ordered and are very rugged but also very comfortable. The second order was a firehose jacket, it fit perfectly and is comfortable and warm. I would recommend Duluth Trading to anyone
I ordered a parka and a pair of slacks and they sent a totally different style and size of what I ordered. Five days have passed and I still do not have the correct item but they did send a return label for me to return the wrong slacks. This is not good service.
There's a trick
Their telephone people will willingly let you be a fool by paying their huge retail price
They will not tell you there are frequent gigantic sales or free shipping
Basically: you pay hyper expensive full retail. Then the sale frequent sale comes shortly after
No price matching
No sympathy from them
Be careful
Pretty much sums it up. After placing the order, and the bank paying them, the company claims not to have the manpower to ship your order in a timely fashion. You can't cancel the order. You can't get a refund. You can't get expedited shipping. 30-45+ minute waits to get to a CSR.
Won't even make that mistake again. NOT worth the hassles.
Called Duluth twice in two days around about the same time both days and they claimed their computers were down and to call back later in the day. C'mon you really expect me to believe your computers are down coincidentally the same time every day? I was calling to inquire on the rather long period of time it was taking to ship two orders I placed. I placed both orders over a week ago and they still have not shipped. My advice is don't sell what you can't ship within a reasonable degree of time. Also when I placed one of my orders, they charged my account and then because they hadn't shipped the item for awhile the funds went back into my account and then a day later they charged my account again. First and last time I purchase anything from Duluth trading again.
I needed to replace some well worn and loved mock turtle neck shirts. The excellent elastic on the neck and cuffs, the heavyweight material and armpit gussets on my older shirts are gone in the new models. The new shirts have not gone down in price, but overall quality has greatly decreased. The elastic neck stretches open after less than a full days wear and the material is substantially thinner than even the worn older shirts I have. I could have gone to any local retail store and purchased comparable items for much less. I will not order again.
Do not waste your time! I tried to place an order for my husband to be sent in his name. When I put cc information in it would not let me change the name to mine for the credit card. I hit the back button and redid in my name so it would go through. I then chatted in to verify that only one order went through a minute later. They told me both went through and they could not stop either order. So they will bounce my account because they have a shady website that will not do what it should and if you make a mistake you pay for it. Now I get to deal with a bounced bank account. Lesson learned do not do business with them!
0 stars for product quality and 0 stars for service. Unfortunately -0- is not an option!
Guarantee by this company is nothing but BULL. Don't be fooled. I purchased a Duluth Trading company brand named suitcase from this company. My son used it twice in 18 months. Not even for an air travel trip. The wheel on one corner just fell off - simply from normal use.
When I contacted the company, it took a while for a response. Boiled down to this… their guarantee is 12 months and that's it. Doesn't matter that the product was only used twice. They can't even send me a wheel so I could repair it myself.
They offer me a highly restricted 30% discount on my next purchase. Are you kidding me? Why would I buy ANY product from a company known for poor quality and not willing to stand behind their products? I get the 12 months - BUT, a company who advertises their brand as "tough and no bull" should have quickly stepped up and done the right thing.
I responded to their silly restricted 30% off next purchase offer and copied the CEO (Sam Sato) on my email. Anyone think I received a reply? Don't kid yourself - company culture and brand differentiation starts at the top.
Here are pictures showing extremely low wear on the wheels. Even the handle has the original foam wrapping on it. Obvious the product was not used more than twice.

I placed an order on December 16th with the understanding the purchase would arrive before Christmas. I went online to review my account and it now indicated a December 27th delivery date! There was no notification regarding the delay. Had I known the items would not have arrived by Christmas I would have purchased an alternative gift. Very disappointing!
You order an item... they ship the incorrect item. Because thev orrect size was out of stock. Then expect you to pay the non sale price to replace with alrernate color. So $14 they lost a customer and earned a poor review. Poor business practice.
Tip for consumers:
Duluth treats there customers poorly.
I wear the regular Buck naked boxer briefs. I buy the clearance colors because the underwear is a little pricey. I like them. I did try the Dang soft. Initially I thought the dang soft were great but for whatever reason the waist band wrinkles a folds over on itself constantly. The Buck naked doesn't. I am not sure what they did different between the two waistbands.
Tip for consumers:
The Dang Soft waist bands wrinkle and fold over during wear.

I tried some clothes. Had to return. Did you know it takes 10 to 15 days to receive your refund AFTER they received the items being returned. RIDICULOUS, it doesn't take 10 days for them to charge your purchases. Never again!
Tip for consumers:
Takes to long to receive refunds.

I placed a large order on their website and a day later received an email that I needed to confirm my billing address. That email, however, went to my spam folder and I didn't see it until after I called customer service a week later asking about shipping confirmation. They would have canceled my order that day without having tried to call or send email reminders. By the time all this was sorted, items on my order were on backorder for 4 months, maybe longer. I canceled the backordered item... and hope their clothing is actually crap so I don't feel so bad about losing out all because their billing dept didn't reach out
I was told that the sweatshirt I was buying was of top quality and made in the United States. As soon as the sweatshirt arrived, it was clearly made overseas. I washed it as it had a bad smell, and after its first wash, it was already falling apart at the seams. I literally thew away $50 on a garbage misrepresented product. I will NEVER order from them again!

Your no bull policy is all bull. They don't honor what it says. Initially I was impressed with how comfortable they were but after purchasing several pairs of pants for myself and husband I am extremely dissatisfied with the pants I purchased. Mine split near a seam and some of the stitching pulled apart. My husband's stitching is coming apart and a piece of Velcro pulled off. I went to one of their stores to exchange an was given BS about how they don't cover any wear. The manager was extremely ruded and unhelpful. I have had cheap $10 jeans last longer than their $80 women's relaxed fit firehose pants. Also contacted their customer service and got the same BS. Go buy Carharrt they last longer and cost less. Duluth has definitely lost my business.
Tip for consumers:
Do not fall for the no bull guarantee. It does not apply if you wear their clothes.

Firehose pants
Been wearing their firehose work pants since they came out. Their slogan was we dare you to wear them out and I did! For awhile they replaced them like their like they said they would. Slowly it got harder and harder to have them stand behind their product like they said they would. This year I sent my pants in and they won't replace them nor will they return my pants to me. I'm done with this company and so is everyone else that I work with! Don't buy this over priced products!
I ordered a winter hat. Instead of the color shown in the catalog that i ordered, they sent me a different color, and the size was completely wrong. When i called for a refund on the expensive shipping and to complain, the woman i talked to was extremely rude and practically called me a liar. Additionally, the fit of the hat was horrible and poorly made. Ripoff!
