I have been extremely satisfied with every product I have purchased from DTC but you definitely pay for it. The pants I purchased are their 40 grit pants which were cheaper than their firehouse pants but are super durable and comfortable. Buck naked boxer briefs are the best underwear I have ever worn (this includes over expensive underwear from express, and american eagle). Personally, I just wait for a sale since things are expensive but the quality and customer service is amazing.
I love this company and have spent quite a bit of money on especially the heirloom overalls and no yank boat neck tanks. I recently tried a new jumpsuit hoping it would be ideal for upcoming European travel. It was, unfortunately, too difficult to get on and off. I was dismayed to find it would be $8 to return. In this day and age of rising prices and unmitigated corporate greed, I will think twice about ordering knowing that I will take a hit on my refund if I find the product unsatisfactory. Very disappointed.
They say they warranty their cloths, but in actuality they don't. Had two pairs of pants that had the hardware broke. Their hardware on their cloths is the weak point of their products. They warrantied the first pair, but the replacement pair that broke they did not. They say they have a great return policy, but in reality they don't.
Tip for consumers:
Their return policy is not what they say it is

5star rating with caveats and disclaimer:
I'm a huge Duluth fan and years of truly happy purchases: pants, jackets, vests, truck accessories, underwear (the BEST!) - check my previous purchases. These pants live up to all the promos - love the Fireflex stretches and burr resistant qualities - feel great - room where I need it.
Caveats: front pockets are not as accesible - more like jeans, not as deep - I carry tools, notebook, etc in my
Men's DuluthFlex Fire Hose Relaxed Fit Cargo Work Pants but this pair has too few and less capacity.
DisclaImer: I should have paid more attention to the details and to the photos and descriptions - that's on me.
Advice: pay attention to the above - it was all there - I'm just a fan of all their products I jumped the gun.
Buy again? Probably not, but again, that's on me. Other products? Go for it! Can't speak more highly of just about everything I've purchased!
I'm dumbfounded that Duluth uses a third-rate shipping service (UPS bringing it to the useless USPS) which caused my package to be missing. I don't have this problem with Amazon, Walmart, Macys and other online companies. So I will be doing business only with them from now on.
First and last time customer. Item did not hold up. Tried to return it, but they flat out refused to work with me. We are honest, professional educated people--and done with DTC.
Placed the order on 8/21 and have not received yet on 9/3. Their customer service says it is normal for it to take up to 12 business days. I have seen custom made machinery take less time...
I placed an order that I needed in a week. Having heard nothing about the shipment date in 3 days, I e-mailed customer service. No one responded, but I received a UPS notification soon after sending my e-mail showing that a UPS label had been created.
Still no projected date of delivery, and so I called customer service. I said I need my order delivered either in 7 days or in 20 days, not in between. I never expected that the shipping would take more than a week it's not the holidays or a sale period. I offered to pay for expedited shipping. Customer service said there was nothing they could do "once the label was created." Really? Are we in the Stone Age?! The secret is that Duluth is trying to be cheap by using UPS-to-USPS instead of simply UPS to ship their orders - that's the reason for the delay!
I am not ordering again in the future, because I'm thoroughly frustrated with their inefficient and ineffective customer fulfillment/shipping. Too bad, because their products are of good quality. Even though their prices are high, the quality kinda made up for the prices. But when you add poor unrealistic shipping to it, forget it - it's just not worth it.
I ordered several items for my son for Christmas. He is 6'6' and it's hard to get things that fit for him but Duluth has always given me good choices. Until now. One of the items ordered was a sweater that I thought he'd really like. When he opened it Christmas morning and tried it on, it really didn't fit at all. It might have fit a 12 year old that was 5'1" but it was wayyyy too short and too small, even though it was marked a 2X. Here lies my grievance. This is the first item I've ever had to return anything to Duluth and what an unpleasant experience. The return was easy enough to initiate online so no problem there but they deducted $8 from my refund just to return it! In addition to that, there are instructions that basically say you need to return it as you received it. OK, I received it in a shipping bag. I went to send it back in a bag but the return address label Duluth sent me disallows using a bag for returns. So, there I am at the post office and wanting to get this package off for my refund so now, in order to get it back to Duluth, I have to buy a box for $5! So, it cost me $14. To send back a $70 sweater! I'm sorry to say I won't be using Duluth ever again. In my humble opinion, this is not a way to treat a loyal customer. It's been a good ride the last 20+ years but that is not a reasonable fee to return something. I'm done and moving on to companies that appreciate my business.

Company doesn’t appreciate their customers. Very sad. Overcharged for return.

Put the order in 2 weeks ago they took the money from my account and their customer service still doesn't know when it will ship. I will not be ordering from them again!

I received items from overseas, during the Christmas season, than I will (hopefully, eventually) receive my item from Duluth. Ridiculous. Ordered a full 2 weeks ago and it is still in preshipment, it did not arrive in time to gift it when intended, and it was not cheap either! I have had free shipping on most of my Christmas gift items (from many companies, not just Amazon) and all have managed to deliver except Duluth. This was my first time ordering anything from them and I wont make the same mistake again. BUY FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE
Tip for consumers:
You will pay a decent amount in shipping and then wait a very long time for your order- I still haven’t received mine

We have been a long term customer for several years with never any complaints. We loved this company and its products. Recently we contacted them to correct the tax rate they charged. All these years they were computing the tax as if we lived in the city limits. When we discovered the mistake, we sent them information to correct their information on our location. Rather than correct a $2.00 overcharge for the order just made, they said they had to do it this way, but would correct the information so it wouldn't happen next time. Since this was a principled disagreement, and they would not change the tax charged, we asked that the order be cancelled. In response they said, since the item had already shipped, we could return it, but that we would be charged a $7.99 restocking fee. You would think their customer service personnel would be more adept at keeping otherwise satisfied customers happy, especially over something as minor as a $2.00 disagreement. Instead they seemed to go out of their way to say they didn't really care that much to keep their loyal customers happy. Oh well, live and learn. We will take our business elsewhere. Pat H.
First order (and last). Did not receive tracking info, and the order did not show in my account history. I had to enter a chat session to get the tracking information. Since I didn't get any updates, I was unable to ask my neighbor to grab the package while I was away, and it was stolen. (While I didn't get the tracking / shipping confirmation email, I DID get 12 marketing emails in the week following my first order.)
In their defense, they offered to replace it right away. Unfortunately, one of the items in the replacement package was the wrong item. They sent me a UPS return label for the incorrect item as a response to my inquiry about that, before offering any other ideas. They also said they'd send me a refund. The refund has not arrived some 3 weeks later.
I was **REALLY** excited to shop with Duluth, since so many of their brands and their alleged ethos align very closely with my hobbies and lifestyle. It's too bad. The whole experience has been nothing but problems from the get go, and in an age where shopping online has eclipsed retail shopping, and seems only to get easier and easier, this is a pretty strong example of it not working at all.

Only advice is AVOID!!

Placed an order, returned it via their shipping label provided - NEVER RECEIVED MY MONEY BACK! I even received a confirmation email stating 'we received your return.' Spoke with them on 3 different occasions... we have not received your package HUH! Then what is this email saying otherwise, and the UPS confirmation? Never will I order from this company again... HORRIBLE!
Hey everyone. My husband bought me a whole bunch of Duluth trading company clothing and I absolutely loved it. He bought me a beautiful orange and navy blue colored flannel shirt back in September of last year and I loved it. I only got to wear it three times and when I pulled it out of the washing machine, the back was ripped. This shirt had a special design where it opened in the back to give you extra moving room. The stitching from that split did not rip. It was the actual fabric of the flannel shirt that ripped. I'm so surprised because this feels like very thick quality flannel. I called their customer service and ask them to please just send me another shirt because I love the color and I love this fabric and she said they no longer carry it because it's flannel and it was in the fall. I'm so disappointed that it did not last longer. I could see if I wore it 50 or 60 times and then it tore, I would feel like I got my money worth. But I only wore it three times. I'm disappointed and I know it's a first world problem but I just thought I would leave a review in case somebody else had the same problem. They were willing to give me a refund or an exchange, I'm not sure which but because they don't carry this shirt any longer, I would have to get a refund. So I am forced to have to try to sew this shirt and hide the rip. I'm just disappointed because I believe this shirt was around $70 and it should have lasted longer than wearing three times and washing once. So I will be fixing it myself because I love the color.

My mom ordered a hat for Christmas for my grandpa, when it got here WE GOT UNDERWEAR. We began messaging the people asking what the hell happened and we want the hat. After they replied they said the hat was OUT OF STOCK. Seriously?!? The receipt that was in the package even said HAT. Once we talked more they did a refund but took 8 DOLLARS OUT for the shipping. So annoyed, WORST company ever. Never been in store so I can't exactly say anything but DO NOT BUY ONLINE. They are a joke.
If I could give 0 stars I would,, Duluth took my money and didn't ship my order, finally after one week I asked for a refund and was refused. Customer service is terrible.
Bought a shirt last week on sale, now a week later it is half the price. I don't have a local store and they won't credit me the difference even though the tag is still on it! They said I have to pay for shipping it back or bring it to a store. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, they should just credit for what they have it selling for currently.
Bought 3 pairs of Mens boxers for $30 each. After 18 months elastic waist stretched or shorts just about fell off. Called Customer Service and they said it's over the 12 month guarantee. BAD BUISNESS. NEVER AGAIN!,
I can't shop there because their smallest clothes are huge on me. I'm 5'10" 145 lbs. I have a 30" waist, they start at 34". I wear a medium shirt most places, their medium fits me like an XL.
It takes about three weeks for them to process your return and when you call customer service they tell you they can't do anything for you. Be careful no free returned.
Tip for consumers:
no free return

Duluth clothing is my favorite. Their products are high quality and durable! I have purchased jeans, pants, underwear, shirts and sweatshirts. I have never been disappointed!
Never have I ever had so many issues ordering and I most of my shopping online. Duluth Trading will not cancel orders even if you call 5 minutes after ordering. Will not exchange items even if they have not shipped. You must receive the order then call them for a return lable, ship it back, wait for them to receive, then they will ship the correct item... You know if it hasn't been 10 years and you haven't gained 20lbs by the. To make issues worse they double charge all items as they ship. When calling to ask why I was being double charged the sweet, but simple, customer care agent could not tell me why this was, just that it happens sometimes and the charges fall off. When I asked when they will cancel the charges she did not know this either. So basically unless you have an extra $1000 lying around for them to double charge everything for an unknown time DO NOT ORDER! It's 2020 why can't you perform internet sales properly or train your staff!?!?! I spent 2 days talking to 3 people who new less then my dog. Never will I ever spend my money here again. I haven't even received my items and I am so disgusted I don't want them... But you know they won't refund me... Unless I spend another weekend talking through stupid and hoping for miracles.
