I have been extremely satisfied with every product I have purchased from DTC but you definitely pay for it. The pants I purchased are their 40 grit pants which were cheaper than their firehouse pants but are super durable and comfortable. Buck naked boxer briefs are the best underwear I have ever worn (this includes over expensive underwear from express, and american eagle). Personally, I just wait for a sale since things are expensive but the quality and customer service is amazing.
I love this company and have spent quite a bit of money on especially the heirloom overalls and no yank boat neck tanks. I recently tried a new jumpsuit hoping it would be ideal for upcoming European travel. It was, unfortunately, too difficult to get on and off. I was dismayed to find it would be $8 to return. In this day and age of rising prices and unmitigated corporate greed, I will think twice about ordering knowing that I will take a hit on my refund if I find the product unsatisfactory. Very disappointed.
I browsed their website looking for a Christmas gift. When I found it the website said it was "IN STOCK" and would be delivered between December 18-23 so I ordered it. As soon as I placed the order I got an email saying it was BACKORDERED and would not even ship until Dec. 30. Since this was on a Sunday I called their "customer service" the following Monday morning. I asked to CANCEL the order. She said they could NOT CANCEL an order once it had been placed. I asked why not since it had not been shipped. She said that was their policy and there was nothing they could do and when I received the order to send it back. Of course when I receive the order I will be in Florida for the winter so I guess it will sit on the porch until the first week of May. This is a HORRIBLE COMPANY AND I WOULD CAUTION EVERYONE AGAINST DOING BUSINESS WITH DULUTH TRADING.
Duluth does a HORRIBLE job with it's online ordering and processing. Twice I have ordered with results that were not good. I place a online order with store pick up that somehow the email order confirmation had the correct store but at some point it was change to pick up in another state. At which time they just canceled that portion of the order. I went to the store to pick up and was told i would have to purchase the items again after they had already hit my credit card for the items since there was 1 item that was actually shipping into the store. Took 7 days for them to credit me for the canceled order and they hit my credit card again for the shipped item. They did straighten it all out money wise but they held my money for a week. Second order (after i swore i would not order again) ordered two pair of pants. Woke up to alert from my bank they had credited my whole order. I logged in and could see they shipped 1 pair. Had to online chat to find out the other pair is coming from another warehouse and I assume they will hit my credit card again once they find them and ship them. No emails explaining what happened and the online chat was rude and unprofessional. Their stuff is very expensive and the shopping experience is not pleasant. Short of walking in and picking up your stuff and checking out it really is not worth the hassle. (I shop at another high end retailer, Talbots, and they do a much better job keeping you informed on what is going on with your orders).
I used to like this company. Lately, I've given it thought, and decided to never purchase from them again. A few problems.
1. If you order by a certain date, your item will be guaranteed to be delivered byChristmas. I ordered 5 days before the "final day to be shipped by Christmas"
2. I accidentally put the wrong address (fat finger hit one wrong number). When you call, they are unable to edit your address or make changes. This means my item will be delivered to the wrong house (hoping after speaking to the neighbor and telling them the item is being shipped there on accident, they will deliver to me in all honesty) this leaves me to my last complaint.
3. I ordered the same item again, with the correct address. If the neighbor gives me my package, it will be returned. I received an email saying product is backorder which means I WILL NOT get my item in time for Christmas (which was the whole reason I purchased from duluth) I then got another email today 2 days later- stating my first order is also back ordered. This tells me they do not process items in order. My 1st order should have been taken care of before my 2nd.
The company should give some kind of coupon to redeemed at a later date. I had free shipping plus 25% off (which was their promotion) I wish they would give me at least that promotion to use at a later date. Instead they just leave you hanging. I was super excited to gift a pair of jeans to my husband that he has been wanting for a long time... and can now fit after a 110 pound weight loss. STUPID duluth ruined that for me. Out of state businesses are required to collect and pay CA sale tax at a rate of 8/5%. I recently received my invoice and the sales tax collected was 18.5%. Well above the CA tax rate of 8.5%. I brought this to the attention of Duluth and "Heidi" responded back the tax rate is set by CA. I've purchase lots of out of state items and this is the first time I have ever been charged over 8.5%. They should be audited by CA Board of Equalization, responsible for tax collection. I have reported this to the BOE.
Update to review: Duluth Trading has refunded me the overcharge of the sales tax. Customer service was quick to respond. The first answer was obviously from a low level service rep. I answered back that the response from Duluth was unacceptable. Then results came about after mentioning my contact to BBB in WI and my state sales tax office. To my satisfaction Duluth refunded the overcharge of the sales tax. I hope they fix the algorithm with charging out of state sale tax for CA. I do like their products and will continue purchasing from Duluth.
Their close are good quality, but still not worth the insanely high prices. You also can't cancel or change an online order once it's been submitted, which is a huge problem.
Made my first order from ever from deluth and I will never do it again. Horrible customer service experience, never again.! Just more over priced garbage!
Here's another company that spams you with emails and you have no way to stop them. Can't find a way to unsubscribe. I think that makes them a sleazy outfit not worthy of your business.
I placed an order with Duluth just 2 days ago on 11/18/2020. Placed my order online and everything was fine and paid for it. The next day on 11/19/2020, I saw on my Bank statement, 2 additional charges from Duluth. I called and they had split my order into 3 different shipments and charged me for the shipments. They explained that the original order charge was a preauthorization but the 3 different shipments would total up to the amount I was originally charged. So then today, I received an e-mail saying one of the items I had ordered was returned. Said we received your return. I called Customer Service again and the guy told me oh it was returned for whatever reason. I told him that I never requested for my item to be returned that I just placed the order on the 18th. He was like oh well and sorry for that. I have placed several orders from them and this time has left a sour taste in my mouth. I will either drive to the store and shop or not order from them online again. This is just pitiful and pathetic. There is no such thing as NO BS Guarantee.
When Duluth Trading Company first came to Wichita, my husband was so excited. He called it the most magical place in the world. He loved everything they offered. I was not interested in the women's clothes, but got some women's underwear from Duluth.
After the "quarantine" and the store opened back up, I was trying to help my mom buy some women's armachillo shirts. They were clearance and rang up correctly in the register. I had been looking around in the store and noticed there was no Signage stating pricing. I got really upset because we don't make much money so buying Duluth stuff is stressful because it's so expensive. I look for sale and clearance signage when I go into any store. I used to work for retail companies signing their mervhandise. I complained, but the manager didn't care. I called customer service and they didn't care. I took some pictures of what signage was there. I called customer service and not only did they know I had taken pictures, but the customer service over the phone wanted my name and zip code and when I refused I was given bull crap answers as to why the sale wasn't signed. They treated me as though I was bonkers. I have thrown out all those overpriced underwear that made me smell so bad and I will never shop with Duluth again.

I'm a professional advertising human. I believe in it. That being said, I also believe Duluth Trading Company generates good quality merchandise at justifiably elevated prices because it is simply superior stuff in most cases. I am all for fun-blunt radio, TV and jingle productions.So I'm a fan; to a degree. Their productions are memorable and don't stink.
What damages my appreciation is DTC's relentless marketing after the sale. Daily emails are superfluous at best. Here's why I just opted to UNSUBSCRIBE. DTC brought it on by apparently developing a strategy the includes daily assaults as though I am some addled brained dementia shopper who forgets what I need. So they feel I now must shop DTC EVERY SINGLE DAY I SURVIVE my lack of self-awareness.
Do the employees there in Minnesota have similar trouble with their needs?

They split my order without telling me. They took the hat off my order and put ups tracking on it with now no new order number. They said they refunded me and put a refund on some kind of return order number. It never went thoug on PayPal obviously because they didn't refund from the order number they altered and pulled the product from since that is the order number PayPal has. I could of disputed the entire charge it looks like but I changed it to only the hat. Now I have to wait until koseto January to get my money back. I also ordered some briefs and knee pads and it looks like the pads still have not shipped and they say the briefs shipped but it is also showing only the label was created and not dropped off. That might be more money I have to wait on to get back if it doesn't process in a few days. I ordered more because I had a great experience up until now but it looks like someone inside the company is creating labels and keeping the product for themselves because if they are not being dropped off at ups but the item is missing then ofc that's the only thing it could be. Duluth will need to fix this problem with their staff if they want customers.

One star is too many stars for this company. Finding my tracking information one week after I placed was worse than a dentist pulling teeth. To start things off, no tracking information was ever sent to my email beyond an order confirmation. The only way to look up your order is to create an account with their website at the time of the order, you're out of luck if you check out as guest. After being disconnected with service "chat" twice and being given the wrong tracking number, I finally got my tracking number. When I wanted to bring up the issues I've been having ONLY for them to address these problems, they disconnected me again. Finally, after calling them and being placed on hold numerous times, nothing was done, and I am walking away feeling that they really only view their customers as walking credit cards. Nothing more. I will never shop with them again if they can make checking an order status a multiple day ordeal.
Side note, orders placed with other companies the same day (ALL using the free shipping option) have either delivered to my house already or sent me follow up email apologizing for delays in shipping with updated tracking information
UPDATE: After reaching out to them on Sunday, they stated that they would elevate this issue and call me back. Since then, they have not answered any of my calls and customer service chat will not connect. Right now, it seems impossible to reach their customer service team. Additionally, the tracking number that took hours to extract from their company now has mysteriously stopped tracking my package. I fear that I will have to end up disputing the charge with my credit card company.
Got these work boots there. They did this after month in a half. Called said it wasn't warranted on the boots

I receive the wrong item, not even my order. They charged me almost half price to returning it. They just stole my money.
I purchased 2 pairs of pants for my son last November for Christmas. He lives in Chicago and I live in Michigan. I just recently found out from him that 1 of the pants the knee tore when he slipped and fell on the ice this winter. I just called and spoke with a customer service agents who read the fake guarantee policy to me and told me that the pants are not guaranteed under this circumstance. She said this falls under the negligence and misuse policy. As I told her, my son did not slip and fall purposefully so he is not negligent and if all workmanship is guaranteed that should include the material. When I asked to speak with a manager about this, I was put on hold, only to be hung up on a few minutes later. This is the copy of the fake guarantee on website:
"We stand by the craftsmanship and durability of our products. If you are not satisfied with any item you purchase from Duluth Trading, return it for a refund within one year. After one year, we will also consider returns for items that are defective or don't perform as designed. No Bull means if something goes wrong, we will always treat you right."

All the rest of their policy that was read to me on the phone is not on the website, so that is deliberate withholding of information. Basically everything that was read to me over the phone by service agent negates the guarantee for anything being wrong with your product, unless you return them when they are brand new. So the guarantee and advertisement of the guarantee is total bull$#*!! I bought these work pants on the belief of a guarantee that is a lie! Total misrepresentation. I hope that no one else falls prey to your misrepresentation and lies!
I purchased two box sets of Christmas underwear one men's one Womens each containing three pair the underwear that are made in Vietnam - they feel like sandpaper the trimming is even worse feeling like hard plastic this is not what I expected for $30 a pair oh and then when you contact them you must pay to send them back this is total crap not made in the USA shame on me for not reading the reviews because most of them say the same thing these are total garbage the first impression of your company I will share this with everyone and every site I know! I have enjoyed shopping online at Duluth for 20 years. The reason I shopped is because of the quality merchandise and the NO BULL guarantee - just in case something went wrong. For Christmas I purchased a Dog Armor Hammer toy for a gift. The advertising states "Durable Chew Toy" and "built to last" and "designed to protect WW II soldiers from bomb fragments, bullets and sharp projectiles". "Sure to last well through the end of playtime". Imagine my surprise when my 45 lb mutt broke the tip off in less than a minute while playing tug with me. I asked for a refund and I was refused - twice. I was told they do not cover damage by Fluffy and Scuffy. I was told the toy was not meant to be played with by the dog.
They refused my refund of $10 but express delivered the item back to me. So I talked to 5 people, plus the warehouse guy packed it to ship back and they spent money to ship back - all because they refused to give me $10. I dare say the employee effort and shipping cost more than $10.
The item arrived back today. It is spanking clean and brand new looking, Looks like a dog never touched it - except the tip is missing - just like I said to them when I returned it.
I finally got a sane person on the phone after 4 phone calls, who refunded my $10. A year ago, I would have told you that Duluth would never treat a good customer like this. I buy for 6 people - its a lot of purchases. Not anymore.
Point to be taken - don't buy a dog toy and let the dog play with it - for even a minute. Just show it to the dog periodically and mark it down as "playtime".

It would have been helpful to know that the toy is not durable. It would have been more helpful to know that the NO BULL Guarantee has some fine print which they don't show you unless you make condiderable effort to find it. The guarantee is clearly written on their website page 1. But the small print is well hidden with out any warning to even look for it. I received a lot of BULL.

Duluth has a NO BULL Guarantee, period!! But for some reason it does not apply to a dog toy that is listed as a Durable Chew toy but only lasts for less than a minute. Toy made from "durable Ballistic Nylon, used by soldiers to protect from bomb fragments, bullets and other sharp projectiles." BUT it cannot be touched by a 45 lb mutt for less than a minute with out the tip completely coming off. Then Duluth will refuse the return because it was damaged by "Scuffy and Fluffy".
Takes forever to ship. My order never came. Customer Service was not helpful. Would not reccomend shopping on line with this company,
