I have placed an order for over $750 with e Burgess and I'm sorry to say that it was a total loss. I received rotten products, the survival rate of what I have received is about 40%. What's advertised as trees are twigs ready to die. After more than six months they have not filled my order. No one with an iota of brain would buy anything from this outfit. They must be shot down. The customer service sucks, their phones are off the hook must of the time and they are very rude if you can talk to them. Never buy anything from this scam outfit. BAD, RUDE, IRRESPONSIBLE, and Complete waste of time and money. Save yourself the anguish and frustration and don't believe anything they say. Their Catalog looks nice but it does not represent anything you would receive from those people

I received my order, it looked like it was thrown in a box, no packing to keep them safe! The plants were crammed in a bag and stapled shut! Usually, the plants I got were about 10 inches, scrawny, but they grew, and the people answer the phones are now from over seas. I won't do business with them again, I ask for my money back, now I'm having to wait for 48 to 72 hours, while they review my request!

I placed an order for seeds and plants
When the seed arrived, all thrown in a green bag, they were opened and all spilled out and mixed together. Called customer service and they said to send back the shipping label. A month later and 5 "Contact Us" complaints they never answered me. Called and called only to get a busy signal. The replacement seeds finally arrived and I never opened the green package because I could hear the seed rumbling loose inside the package. Very same thing happened again. I am returning the seeds and have contacted my bank to reverse the charges. THIS COMPANY IS PATHETIC!
I will never order from them again. Can't believe they are still in business. Save your money and the headache... order from someone else!

I have been trying to contact this company for three months. It is obvious they have no personal client services as their line rings busy no matter the day or time I called. I don't do business with companies that have no customer service and will never again do business with them again. PS: I am Still waiting for the order I placed a month ago. Sharon Webb

I Spent $85.50 on two separate orders, both checks cleared my bank. Nothing came from Burgess just a note, telling me something I was waiting on was out of stock. I received a check from them several weeks later for $35.97 and email letting me know they might not be able to return my other amount due to it had already been sent to shipping? I sent a reply, just send me my money please. No one wants to bother with begging for good service, we have a right for it. I paid for it, Right?

Poor quality
May 25, 2021

On Aug. 3,2020 Isent an order to your company for a Tree Peony collection and 2 separate plants. The order was placed on Aug 21 and the check for payment was put in your account on Sept. 3. The package with the plants was found in my front yard on September 22. The plants were dry and two of the trees were in pretty bad shape, but we decided to keep them. Then I discovered that I receiver 3 RED peony trees, all other colors were sold out. Extremely disappointed in the service and the plants. Never again will I order from your company.! I ordered a plum tree. Cherry tree. Currant plant... blueberry plant and a black elderberry... the black elderberry came broke in half. I planted the roots and it has not even started budding... since it was broke in half. All the other things I ordered are doing great. I did report it came broke. But they never sent me another one. Since when I did report it I had my emails of orders mixed up. Hopefully I can get another one

My 400 and some odd dollar arrived yesterday. I was extremely pleased with all of the plants and trees we ordered. A Huge Thank You to Burgess! I love everything. Its all potted and ready to mature enough so the deer wont eat it. We purchased some new tree soil thats out there so grow grow grow my little babies! Great prices, lots of freebies. Love it! Todays date is May 1st, 2021.

I have been trying to reach them for 6 days. The phone number does not work, and they won't answer the emails. Everything in the order was dead. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this company.

I ordered a 4 pack of tomato plants from Burgess seed and plants on May 6,2022. They did not ship them until June 1 and they shipped them by FedEx. It took 14 days for me to receive my plants and when I got them they were dead and unusable. Burgess does not refund your money, they only give you a merchant certificate for a future purchase. I will never buy from them again and maybe they should find a faster way of shipping live plants.
