As a veteran teacher, I have been most impressed with the lessons on Edgenuity. The content is solid. The lesson process is a scaffolding process which is exactly what should be taking place in the traditional classroom. The quizzes and test are thorough. They do require more than rote memory. They require that you have paid attention to each lesson and can apply the information presented to you. THIS is where traditional classrooms are deficient. Many times the teacher makes the class wait on students who were absent or have special needs. Edgenuity does not make you wait. You are only accountable to yourself.
Edgenuity is probably the most grueling educational website of all time. You are forced to watch unskippable and very boring lectures that feel forced and extremely unengaging. It's also really easy to fall behind since you are given assignments every day. If you are finding an educational platform for students to use, DON'T choose edgenuity.
We had an issues within the program with broking links within the program where students could not access the needed curriculum to complete their work. The last issue took nine days to resolve or get a response from Edgenuity. This is unacceptable for students and teachers who are working on deadlines. Another issue we had with broken links or a program issue that would not allow students to advance did not get a finalized response of having the issue fixed. When dealing with curriculum and pacing for student education, time is a valuable commodity and any delays that take over 48 hours is a failure to the students and educational program that is being served.
Upon the forcing of Edgenuity in my school, the students have overall found the site to be not only frustrating and stressful, but often glitchy and ineffective. Its "Lessons" are repetitive and highly boring, and the site provides no real advantage over other academic platforms other than being directed towards a large-scale remote situation- of which it still fails to adequately achieve and is perhaps in my opinion, worse than simply adapting a site not intended for remote learning to the situation.
I am using this platform for my 8th-grade pre-algebra class and I hate It so much. 1st, the teachers don't even look like they want to be there. 2nd, the whole format of the program is so boring. Like the white video on a gray background so boring. The constant bugs, lag, and glitches, totally ruin the whole thing (not like there was anything to begin with). There is so much repetition, no encouragement, and I just don't see how you could rate it above 1 star. And also, the instructors talk so quietly, even when my computer is at 100% volume, I can barely hear when I am in class.
The new CTE and Purpose Prep content inside Edgenuity's Courseware has some hidden grading requirements for the educator to complete to accurately assess student's learning and provide meaningful feedback. In our road to improvement, which is a daily task, we failed to realize this as educators and Edgenuity through the support and ticket system replied with details including visual guidance that helped us learn from our misunderstanding of how to best use the program. We find value in the fact that they will help us with how best to use the program with fidelity which increases our odds of success in reaching the maximum potential of each and every student. The help center build inside the program would have guided us to similar results, so it is nice to know we have multiple ways to gain greater understanding on how best to use the program and it is our job to learn from it, adapt it to meet our needs and move forward with continuous improvement.
Tip for consumers:
It is quality but it is what you make of it no different than any text book or any digitalized or web program. You gain from what you devote your time and energy into and the results are what our students and their future can benefit from. Edgenuity can help districts and schools provide and support an online engaging, rigorous and standards-based learning opportunity where students are the main focus of the learning while both teachers and students actively engage in the learning process.

As a teacher, I appreciated the fast response to yet another glitch. I wish I could say glitches are rare. They're not.
With regard to content, the grades 9-12 courses are difficult and not very engaging. Students complain about the number of videos and the quality of the "teachers". Although the teachers seem to be proficient in content, they are boring in presentation.
This program is absolutely terrible. My children are learning nothing. There is no guidance from the teachers and no one to turn to for help. They teach things out of order and there is way too many assignments to do. My kids spend more hours doing the virtual "learning" than kids going to school do. I'm over this crap! So are my kids!
I am a teacher and also a parent every single time my son is doing edgenuity it's always giving him a bad grade and it doesn't explain it clearly to my son can you do us a favor and cancel the stupid website it's already hard enough.
I am a teacher that uses Edgenuity with 6th and 7th graders. The program is well built and meets the needs of our online students. It is easy to navigate and set up. It includes ways to create RTI for students as needed.
Lessons can also be adjusted as needed. When I do have issues I can email and I usually get a response within 48 hours.
I only gave 4 stars because when I call the help line or use the chat functions I can be put on hold for over an hour. (This has happened a couple of times.) I have learned to use email. Once I get a hold of them they are extremely helpful.
Program gets a five star review.
Customer Service only a three.
That gives them a four.
Tip for consumers:
If you are a parent with issues, contact the teacher. Teachers can solve most problems, and the few they can't they can email and get good results.
Personally I think that this website has some rude responses when you get your answer wrong. I think that is bs I hear my child crying because the people are rude once they got the question wrong. I will be having my son get off of this sight it is so degrading for him.
This is our first week of distance learning and had many questions regarding the program and reports. I used the feature of requesting a call balk versus waiting on line. In the morning the call back is almost immediate. Help was polite and informative.
I haven't learned anything from it. My only priority is to get the class finished as quickly as possible, because that's the only challenge in the whole program. It's a $#*! program that doesn't engage students. Most of it is graded by a robot.
Requested help through chat. I was the only person in the que for help. Gave up after waiting for 15 minutes. Someone finally tried to help once I had moved on and worked on finding a solution of my own after 25 minutes. Received an email 16 days after my original request for help stating they had no solution and would need the problem further for help. Received another email after 20 days of my original problem with yet again no real solution to the problem. Honestly, after 20 days my virtual students and I are weeks past this lesson. I solved my own problem within the hour with no help from OW/ Edgenuity. Very poor customer service.
My student ran into an issue with the system not advancing properly. I reached out to Edgenuity through the radio button in the lesson and heard back from a representative within the hour with a fix and explanation.
Truly horrific platform, the instructors monotone, the lessons confusing and unhelpful, no one I know likes using it, the only way you'll learn anything is from googling answers or from the tutors. My review does not do my hatred for it justice, I am unable to write a review scathing enough to convey my dissatisfaction.

When I failed a class in school, I had to come back the next year to do "edgenuity" and it's giving me assignments that I've never even learned and it's lacking what I'm suppose to learn. I believe that Edgenuity is inaccurate and schools should other resources that are actually accurate.
I wrote a review on this website about 2-3 years ago, it basically how bad it was and how I wanted to die being on it, I've now had to take another course on it and hate to say but it is the exact same way. Except I dont want to die being on it I want to break multiple things until I eventually bleed out to death break said things. It's exactly the same it was 3 years ago. It super buggy and somehow still doesn't save my work, I think I'm finally starting to understand why schools use this website
My daughter is normally a good student. This engenuity program has quizzes and unit test daily. The teachers are boring and monotone. It's too much work and they make it more difficult than it has to be. It's like they want the kids in school so they set them up to fail.
Spoke with support and asked him to remote in in order to alleviate a long explanation of what I was trying to do. The Tec. Avoided remoting and wasted about an hour to get to the point. After he answered my question in generalized terms, not answering specific problem. I was emailed around 200 pages of information on the topic.
I wrote to Edgenuity because I was confused/concerned about some test questions that my students were getting marked wrong. I felt the answers that Edgenuity had listed were not correct and/or the questions and answers were misleading. Edgenuity addressed my concerns and made adjustments to the questions that I had inquired about. In some cases the questions and answers were not wrong but the Edgenuity representative was able to clarify the question and answer for me.
My 4 star rating is based on their customer service and ability to address my concerns. I am still concerned that there may be many more assessment questions/answers that are misleading or wrong which I have not caught yet.
I ran into some problems with adding some units and deleting others, which affected my student's completion and overall averages. Maddy was able to explain what was happening and how I could achieve my goal of true student success. I couldn't quite get what I needed from the chat. Maddy returned my call in a timely manner and I was satisfied. It felt great to get that stress off of me.
I asked a specific question and got back a general answer on subjects I don't teach which have no applicability to the problem. I have a very concerned family with a bad taste in their mouth about the way Edgenuity scores their daughters work and no explanation as to why it's happening. Go back and read the question that was asked and please answer it!
I have used Edgenuity for many years. For differentiation, for enrichment. And to address specific benchmarks of concern. I find the program to be an excellent resource for online education. The courses align with Florida Sunshine standards and cover the topics with details. The reports are comprehensive and allow the teachers to monitor student's progress.
Last year and this year have been trying times for anyone with online learning, and I have had longer response times in getting answers or having issues resolved compared with what I have experienced with them in the past. Things have begun to improve and I believe that Edgenuity will be able to provide more efficient service response in the future.
I called the help center and immediately received a call back despite the recording that said there were longer than usual wait times. Esteban took the time needed to fully investigate and answer my question regarding a student's session log. I have called the help center before and have always received excellent and timely assistance..
I contacted Edgenuity to ask a question about the correctness of one of the answer choices. I received an immediate response indicating that my question had been sent to curriculum specialist. One day later I received a very thorough response to my question that completely answered my question.
