We are a residential school who has students coming and going regularly Edgenuity helps us to place and help all their individual needs. The material is interesting. This is a very good tool for our program.
Edgenuity is probably the most grueling educational website of all time. You are forced to watch unskippable and very boring lectures that feel forced and extremely unengaging. It's also really easy to fall behind since you are given assignments every day. If you are finding an educational platform for students to use, DON'T choose edgenuity.
Edgenuity and the MN team I work with have always been top notch. I have been working with them for 15 years with no issues. Customer service has been extremely responsive including phone calls to personal numbers well outside of work hours to help with whatever I need. I am looking forward to many more years working with them.
I have been facilitating 6th, 7th and 8th grade online Science courses. Edgenuity has been a wonderful tool to help us and our students and families get through these hard times. The program is easy to navigate and provides great support tools like guided notes for lessons and the ability to provide accommodations like extra time and reading aloud. Whenever I have had questions about answers to test, I have been able to get explanations back within 24 hours from Edgenuity support. Overall, a very good tool (after learning how to use it).
The customer service department response almost immediately to concern. Jessica (customer service) gave me several suggestions to solve the problem that my student was having with Edgenuity. Thank you!
I keep receiving their emails and when I click to be removed from mailing and I am asked to email CS. I do so and they still keep sending me emails. The sad part is that they share others people's details with me and they have the wrong person! No privacy for their customers.
Not only is it an absolutely unpolished, barebones, mess of a program. It doesn´t even work half the time. So you don´t even get stability for trading convenience. I´m a student using the program full time and it´s unfit for this purpose especially. It´s uninteresting, irritating, full of bumps, and a serious downgrade from the oddesseyware program. I would not recommend this for any educational use I can think of. Credit recovery, alternative learning, homeschooling, trying to teach a dog to read, nothing it´s useless. Granted it´d make a fine rage game.
Tip for consumers:
If you don´t have an ice pack use frozen peas they wrap the hand nicely.

My teacher uses this app and it so easy to get behind because of the amount of work you have to get done at a certain time. I always get behind because of the 19 assignments in each subsection and sometimes you have to do 2 or 3 in a day with the non skippable videos. It's also boring lol. I see everyone else saying the same things in the reviews so idk why my school is still using it.
Every technician that I have spoken with has been polite, respectful and willing to assist. If they are unable to solve the issue, they have pushed it to the next level. I am very pleased with Edge Support.
For one Edgenuity is encerting old information within our head and second of all is see no use in tell us things I already know and that is what Edgenuity is doing and last but not least I do not see an useful or education purpose to this app but as i can see it is helping the teachers out a lot so that me it may put some strain on our parent and I can support that because as many children see the parent wake up and go to work and so that is why i'm rating the app 3 star cause I feel like that is a very fair overall rating. :))
I was pleased with the recent support I received. I asked a question about how to use the student guides and was given a step by step instruction along with the hot link to quickly get the needed site.
Also, I got my reply within 20 minutes.
We have been pleased with the courses, the LMS and the after sale support. The problems we have had were caused by our ignorance and not that of Edgenuity. When contacted they answered promptly and had the solution we needed. Definitely a bargain for the price paid.
Super boring and no one likes it, at least make your lessons entertaining enough for me to pay attention.
You see, I have a REALLY low attention span which means if I don't something then I can't pay attention to it. When I was in actual school, I could somewhat pay attention sometimes but now I can't even. Also, website is an eye soar, use cooler colors and don't make everything white or at least have a dark mode.
Tip for consumers:
if your school uses this app/website I feel sorry for you.

It's not that Edgenuity is a bad program, but it's also not a great program.
It's clearly created and run by people who know a lot about technology, software and managing programs. But it doesn't seem like anyone has much of an education background.
I can't modify lessons or assessments, I can't really add in my own content and I can't communicated with my students directly. But the program has saved me during this pandemic! For all it's shortfalls, it's still a big reason I can show up everyday and feel confident that I'm going to survive the day.
I'm probably never going to love the program but I do appreciate the peace of mind it's brought me. It's like a coworker who I know isn't a great teacher. They show up everyday and do their best, even if it isn't very good, and that's better than nothing
I am an 8th grader that uses Edgenuity. The virtual school I attend requires students to use this program for grades and attendance. The lessons are very difficult to listen to because the teachers look like they don't even want to be there. Edgenuity has destroyed my mental health because of the amount of stress I get due to the amount of work I'm assigned every day. I'm not the only one failing most of my classes. The majority of my classmates are failing and students are required to use Edgenuity for 6 hours a day. I can't wait to be done with this program and go back to school.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Edgenuity unless you like to be stressed out every day and have your confidence destroyed.
Why is it all about the service all of a sudden and this one fake review said it was a student typing that student must of had really good typing then cause it looks like it is someone grown up and sent to write a review i think someone works at edgenuity and is writing fake reviews cause its all about the service do they actually do the work though and its actually really bad it caused my family to have problems and it freezes me up and i cant move on till my teacher moves me on
I've had to email customer support on a few different occasions for a few different problems and their support has been on point. They have been prompt, friendly, and helpful in whatever ways they can. If they haven't heard back from me in a while, they email me to see where we stand. Great support!
My son's are both using Edgenuity during Covid with LAUSD. They say that the assignments take too long. That may be a problem with the assignments that the teacher gives. Also, one says that "It has a super boring voice" So, I imagine that it is really hard to develop a learning platform. Hopefully it will improve over time to help our kids. Thanks.
I have learned nothing from this site and it takes forever to get anything done it makes me so stressed and i hate it. I usually just leave it playing and do something else because i never learn anything anyway. I try very hard in school but this is just dumb and even my teachers hate it nobody in my school wants to do this and we are working to get rid of it.
My daughter started this program on the fall of 2021. It is absolutely the most useless program our school district could have used. The subjects have nothing to do with what they are actually learning in that particular grade. She had a tech issue that kept her off for 10 days and was never able to fully catch up. I also blame the school for this issue. Besides being absolutely boring and setting the student up for failure, I believe this program did not educate my child in any form. Its truly horrible and if your school district goes with this, just go to school. Its not worth it. My daughter is going back to school. It wasn't because of covid, but because she has extreme anxiety but she would rather try to cope with the anxiety than deal with Edgenuity for one more semester.

Pacing is inflexible and having so many different grading systems is confusing and creates unnecessary anxiety in both students and parents. There are grades for pacing, overall grade, relative grade, and actual grade, WHY? On the plus side, it is rigorous and challenging for most students.
This type of software is ruining education. Face to face interaction with students is so important. We knew that before this so called pandemic. Now we know it even more. Students don't even watch the videos. They wait until the tests and copy them into Google, Brainly, or whatever else they can use. As someone who has created software myself, I know how to get by this, but these places don't ask real teachers. They assume that what they are doing is working. But it isn't. Want to know how to fix it, you can write me at *******@glennbates.com and ask. There are several ways to do it. And you aren't doing them.

My children are just not able to learn efficiently on this app. It is the most boring, time consuming thing that encourages rote learning. I thought we got beyond that? Did my school district simply purchase the cheapest platform out there? My kids are normally A and B, bright and happy students. My 10th grader has several classes that use Edginuity exclusively for the class, and surprise, she has A's in all classes that use other forms of learning and F's in the Edginuity classes. I even attempted to help and we got a 50% on a quiz, when I had a college gpa between 3.8 and 3.97. There is no excitement in learning with this thing, and she is getting so discouraged thinking there is no point to school. This is scary and I'm doing everything I can to try and teach all 7 classes myself, but I am not a chemistry teacher or mathematician, and I have a younger child and keeping him on track as well. I can't imagine a parent with more children.
Although the concept of virtual Learning seems like an acceptable alternative to attending public schools, there are a great number of downfalls. Not having a "live instructor" being the number one problem.
My daughter recently took a 'placement' test. She was given NO context, we came from out of state and were given the runaround by the district. She is a straight A student, and had already skipped two grades, and managed to stay at the top of her class. Now do to bureaucratic@%$#^ she now has to repeat a grade that she WAS making As in, even after passing it as a homeschooled student. The company makes money, and the district doesn't want to budge on protocol that makes no sense. I wouldn't trust anything this company is selling.
I was having technical difficulties with one of my courses in Edgenuity, I could not access any information, and I had students that also could not access the course. I emailed the technical support team at Edgenuity, they responded with an update that they needed to forward my situation to engineering, and within a few hours, the situation was resolved, and I had another message from them to inform me that everything was up and running.
They were fast, efficient and friendly. I am pleased with the support from Edgenuity.
