We are a residential school who has students coming and going regularly Edgenuity helps us to place and help all their individual needs. The material is interesting. This is a very good tool for our program.
Edgenuity is probably the most grueling educational website of all time. You are forced to watch unskippable and very boring lectures that feel forced and extremely unengaging. It's also really easy to fall behind since you are given assignments every day. If you are finding an educational platform for students to use, DON'T choose edgenuity.
We've been using Edgenuity for 10 years and witnessed great increases in our graduation rate. The program has also been extremely helpful as a teaching tool during the pandemic. Most problems originate on our side with either our data for uploads or user mistakes, but the Edgenuity support team is always extremely helpful and works until all problems are resolved. If a problem is on their side, it is resolved even more quickly. We were impressed at how effectively they stepped up to the increased demand caused by the pandemic and made modifications to their program.

We loved homeschool on google classroom, but I think due to edgenuity not allowing a refund, we were all made to go back to edgenuity. My kid was an A student, but we had to resort to packets, without instruction, and he is borderline failing now. I loathe edgenuity. They are a farse, and shoddy product. Way to kill my kid's love of learning, and self esteem. There should be some regulations on these products, as it seems unethical for them to be allowed to grade their own products.

I called the Edgenuity help line twice this week for two separate unrelated issues. Technical Expert Tom (I don't know Tom's actual title) helped me out both times and remembered me the second time. He listened, asked clarifying questions, and then used super sleuthing detective work to find the problem and offer a few solutions. The time between my call and my solution was less than 15 minutes both times. I have confidence that I can call the help line knowing that I will receive the support I need. I hope Tom sees this review and is recognized for the outstanding service he provides.

This edgenuity was something I put my son in as coronavirus hit. I thought this would be more of homeschool but it's not. As we were switching towards more of a homeschool type thing but this isn't homeschool. It's very boring learning, very dry, the work required is insane, the platform and stupid videos are outdated. Do not buy. This stuff has caused tears in my son's eyes as I watch him try to get caught up and struggle for hours. When I help, I can't even understand.
Terrible platform.

The Product Support Specialist, Greg, quickly understood what we needed and what needed to be adjusted. Not only was it corrected on a speedy basis, he also emailed directions/ information to us in case it happened again. Thank you!

Enableling Grade Review on Ignitia

After 2 months of using this platform and getting comfortable with it, we got hit with a big whammy overnight. My 1st grade student was all caught up in everything except her Science until this Wednesday, caught up in Math until this Friday. When I went to check what we need to do tomorrow(Wed.), I realized the pacing was somehow adjusted overnight. Now it's saying that she's behind again? The program itself or someone managing target due dates and pacing adjusted when assignments and lessons were do. Things that as of yesterday weren't do until this Wednesday, are all of a sudden due Last Friday! We worked too hard on her schoolwork to be bamboozled like this. Not at all happy with Edgenuity right now! Be aware of all possible glitches and mishaps, and speak up for the children/students you are representing. This is uncalled for and speaks of sabotage.

This review is mainly for the Pathblazer program. We have had several technical glitches in this 20-21 school year and almost every time I've contacted Edgenuity, they've jumped right on the problem. Only one instance where I had to re-email. But the dozens of other times, they have responded within the hour and usually had the problem solved before the end of the day. In EVERY email correspondence I have had with them, they are very polite and courteous. As far as customer support goes, I give them an A+.

I talked with Jerin yesterday about finding more ability-fitting courses for some of my students and she guided me to some good options to check out, especially in the needed math category. Jerin was patient and thorough and was a big help! Thanks so much! #*******.

This is a great program BUT students have to be motivated and willing to do the work. The projects and rubrics could use some modifications to a digital format but students can learn with remote support. If they are not good at independent learning, they will likely struggle. Parents have to stay on them to keep up with the schedule. But there are countless components that are great about this program.

My 10th grader was traumatized after completing the world war 2 hitler era of concentration camps and more then 18 assignments on this she was dreaming about death camps and methods and then when they finally wrapped up that they switched to massacres in other countries, I want my children to learn about this period of history but my god not to where she is having nightmares. And have heard teachers state they are not sure of items but still teaching on ….

Your support staff are amazing! They have been so helpful to me. I show up many Wednesdays to get their assistance. Sometimes we struggle and try ideas that don't work out. But often we have great success! I now have 2 PurposePrep classes, thanks to their help. I love the content and my students love working through the modules. I must admit that the program itself is daunting. I'd love more training so I could be more independent with the product.

I had some issues with Edgenuity at the start of this school year and at that time I opted to not give a review, because 1 was too many stars, and I needed my time because it was clear I was going to have to solve the problem myself. I then had a new difficulty a couple of days ago and decided to email their tech support for help as I was leaving school. My expectations were perilously low because of my previous experience. Next morning I had an email with exact clear solution to the issue! I was surprised and pleased. Customer service gets 5 stars. The rest of Edgenuity as a learning platform, is about average. It can be what you make it. Kind of like cooking chicken. It always tastes llike chicken, but if you spice it up, it's pretty good.

So I was going to give this app a 1 star because my son and I had issues getting the audio to work and at first customer service agent Blake was insisting that it was an issue with the multiple devices we tried to resolve the issue ourselves. I have decided to change it to a 3 star because after getting blunt and rude with Blake this morning the audio was magically working. Seems like they found the issue and fixed it. For that thanks

I miss 1 question of the 5 question reveiw and they make me watch 16 parts of video based on something I'm not learning. And the stupid app doesn't even let you know or reveiw what you got wrong! I would never reccomend this to a growing child let alone another adult.

I ran into a dilemma while using the Edgenuity site and Mr. Sutton took care of my situation in a speedy and professional way. I was treated with a caring attitude and definitely will not hesitate to use your service again.
Once again Mr. Sutton needs to be given an attaboy for his work.
Sincerely,

Edgenuity... I'm disappointed. My daughter is constantly confused in your statistics course. The way the instructor explains the material is confusing for the students. The students have to learn one thing after the next; it gives them no time to process what they have learned. Especially when they are struggling to get past the first topic, and then they have to already move on towards the next. Also the instructor doesn't explain the material well. There will be numbers, and answers to a problem, and the instructor doesn't explain how he got the numbers or answer very well. I really do hope you take this into consideration for the future math courses.

The Edgenuity team makes our work a partnership. Working with over 10,000 secondary students taking one or more classes has been an adventure for our teachers and students. After all this is a new pedagogy and something quite frankly none of teachers or students chose, rather result of necessity. The Edgenuity team has been spot on in their support of this work. Thanks for being partner!

My childs school enrolled my son in this worthless program. Need to contact the teachers... good luck.
Need to complain about a teacher? No use there is no one to contact, only contact info for user support that says we cant help you with teacher problems. The teachers lie to you when they do finally contact you back... Oh sorry I couldn't get logged in today, which is total BS when I speak to another parent that says why yes this teacher has been emailing with me all morning. I think the teachers here are here because they are too lazy to get a real teaching job. Dont waste tour time here, you are better off letting trained monkeys teach your child!
Tip for consumers:
Dont use this program!!!

The lessons are repetitive and off the curriculum. Edgenuity does not care about mastery, only memorization. The website is constantly slow. You have to be on the platform for more than five minutes before it starts your time tracker. Khan Academy is a better platform to use for both home school and public school.

Edgenuity help is terrible. It took almost two weeks to get a simple response, the robot support doesn't work, and help button never finds what I need. I like the product for students but hate the support for educators.

We needed to pull Data for our our school board based on the amount of time our students were using edgenuity. Unfortunately we could not get a report that was predefined. Support was able to help us customize a report in just a few minutes.

Our district decided to use this system for distance learning. It is inflexible and there is no place for an instructor at all. Teachers become aides in their own classroom. It is no substitute for a curriculum or scope and sequence at all: it is Edgenuity or nothing, baby.
In the training videos provided on the Edgenuity site, they honestly try to sell having a pause and start button as a feature for their lecture video series for self pacing. All of the resources they urge teachers to use are all other applications or sites; none of it is within the Edgenuity scheme.
Edgenuity is perfect for a class or two over the summer, but for a semester/year curriculum? No way in hell.

Where do I even begin? The whole outline of the platform is terrible and is leaving me and my peers frustrated. I am currently behind, and it's because the platform is glitching. Not to even mention the videos are bland and don't even fully explain anything. Also, someone PLEASE tell me why the grades go into decimals? I got an 89.8 on my report card when it would've just rounded up to a 90.
