As a veteran teacher, I have been most impressed with the lessons on Edgenuity. The content is solid. The lesson process is a scaffolding process which is exactly what should be taking place in the traditional classroom. The quizzes and test are thorough. They do require more than rote memory. They require that you have paid attention to each lesson and can apply the information presented to you. THIS is where traditional classrooms are deficient. Many times the teacher makes the class wait on students who were absent or have special needs. Edgenuity does not make you wait. You are only accountable to yourself.
Edgenuity is probably the most grueling educational website of all time. You are forced to watch unskippable and very boring lectures that feel forced and extremely unengaging. It's also really easy to fall behind since you are given assignments every day. If you are finding an educational platform for students to use, DON'T choose edgenuity.
I wish I could give this a zero rating however, the system will not allow me to.
My son is currently using Edgenuity to support his virtual learning during the pandemic. Apart from the fact that the questions and answers are long, drawn out and very confusing, the system does not allow for any kind of learning environment. No visibility into mistakes and /or errors are allowed at the testing stage to bridge knowledge gaps so students are basically playing the guessing game. I have also recognized that the system erroneously grades answers as incorrect when they are actually correct.
Additionally, the lengthy videos are not conducive to focus and learning. I am very disappointed that our school district has opted to offer their students this worthless crap as a remote learning application. I will be meeting with the principal tomorrow to discuss next steps for removing my son from this program since this is not value adding for him and is ultimately causing more frustration than anything else.
I assumed that the school had his best interest at hand but was clearly wrong. What a sad day when teachers will allow this joke of a program, to support the development of our young people.
I love that Edgenuity can transfer a student's account from one school district to another. It saves the work that student has completed and they can pick up where they left off nearly seamlessly.
My most recent experience with Edgenuity customer service was pleasant and helpful. A student had emailed me about a problem at 2AM. I saw the email closer to 7AM and got busy trying to get answers. I reported the problem and quickly got the automated reply I was expecting. NOT TOO LONG AFTER I then got a reply from a real person taking a look at the problem. Because it was uppermost in my mind I fired questions right back and every time the real person was helpful. We were able to solve the problem before the student got online for the day. I found the agent to be persistent, patient, and helpful.
It is one of the best learning sites I have ever attended. I get updates on maintenance and the teachers are amazing, and even A little funny. I recommend using this site. Daily.
My daughter is nearly 18 and has used Edgenuity successfully for 2 years. She used a different service before Edgenuity, and that was terrible, but Edgenuity has been head and shoulders above everything else she tried. She has actually enjoyed using Edgenuity more than going in person to her high school with nearly 5000 other students. Edgenuity has been a god-send for her during the pandemic.
My older sons have been mostly remote-learning for their college classes and Edgenuity is comparably good. This is the future, so if you can't deal with this, you'd better learn to deal with it, because if you go to college, you're only going to get more of a similar service.
If you're using Edgenuity for your school, it must be used in conjunction with real people at your school who you meet with weekly so you can voice any concerns or problems to them. If your school is crappy, don't blame Edgenuity. We've been using it for 2 years this way and it works well, unless you're the kind of person who needs constant pushing by people in your face to do your work. If you're that kind of person, let's face it, self-starting remote online learning is not made for you.
Tip for consumers:
If you don't want remote learning or can't handle getting up in the morning and doing your work, then go to school where they can watch you and prod you to do what you're supposed to do.

Imagine Edgenuity
I like this schooling a lot, but please stop assigning so much. And sometimes my work from the day before won't save. And please let us skip videos, they're a waste of time.
The program has worked well. Anytime students have come to me with issues and I contact support, they respond quickly with information that solves the issue in a way that is helpful.
This app sucks it ruined my life i am not allowed leave my room until it is done i FREAKING hate this there is even a subject for P. E i mean really i have a family that i cant see because of this STUPID app i mean why does it exist but they are always enforcing us to "play outside stop spending your time on electronics" even tho we are on the computer doing stuff that are stopping from going outside thank i do not recommend it
I think that edgenuity is garbage and that it's the worst program that was made by students to ever exist and the glitches are as bad as the program itself and overall I just hate edegnuity so much, and I just think that this program is just stupid and its trash and it belongs in the trash and I am not satisfied with this program at any level.
I home schooled my 3 kids for years and over the years we have used several different computer/online programs. This one is the worst school I have seen yet!
The links are broken and don't work with Microsoft computers or EDGE. Because of that my kids were unable to work on the ridiculous amount of writing assignments and we had to switch to Internet Explore and have unfiltered internet on their computers at school and at home. Not being able to protect our family is really something the school needs to fix. Oh and calling the service line was another huge waste of time. They fixed nothing even though they said the problem was their top priority. 6 months of this and they never fixed it!
The waste of time having to sit and watch hundreds of boring, low volume, repeating videos. I have never seen my kids sit so long at their computers wasting their time! I also found out the videos are outdated, by 10 years! English has changed in 10 years and the amount of propaganda seeing coming through the videos is outrageous. Teach English not moral philosophy please! I am beyond frustrated with this whole process, watching my teens have to stay up until 3 am at times, And believe me they were all crying at some point in this program. They spent more time on this school then all 5 of their in school classes! It is a waste of taxpayer money, time and resources. A filler at best to fill a need, but a complete waste!
Tip for consumers:
If in Washington Go to Columbia Virtual Academy, or K12 WAVA,
It is very dull and confusing it expects us to teach ourselves by reading translations and taking notes the tests are more complex than the stuff they teach you and it is very easy to get distracted you can also skip submitting something accidentally and not get to redo it or look back at it. I don't think anyone I know likes it, it also puts a lot of pressure on students to get 5 hours done a week.
DO NOT RECOMMEND this was written by a student
Tip for consumers:
dont use it
For unknown reasons, Edgenuity abruptly changed all student passwords overnight, as in Thursday it was their original and Friday (10/23/20) it was new. Parents were unaware of the changes, teachers were unaware of the changes, request for the changes was not on our end according to bosses. I only found out the changes due to reaching out to other teachers. Some of them found when checking, that the passwords were changed and it was recorded in the teacher list within the site. I checked mine when parents reached out, the passwords had remained the same. I was perplexed but sent the one other teachers said would work. It did. I contacted support for help. The email message said, thanks for contacting, they had no idea what was going on. I called the support. The gentleman told me it was my computer that was at fault. I update my device regularly and shut it down daily. It had not updated student passwords until today, 10/27/2020. Every time a teacher reaches out for support, we are pushed back on as something that is our problem and it can't be fixed on their end. Also, content areas are weak and filled with errors.
I'm a student doing virtual and the quality of the audio is terrible, I have my laptop on max volume and still can't hear the instructor very well. Then, when you use headphones or Airpods it LITERALLY sounds like your listening to an Alien distress signal.
The Edgenuity promotional video claims that this curriculum adapts to student needs. I haven't experienced this at all. The basic framework for the courses is linear, so you can't skip around or choose what you're working on at any point. You have to fully complete each assignment regardless of whether it's doable or even beneficial to you. I don't see how that can be marketed as adaptive. Additionally, the course has every single assignment planned out from the moment you start it, so it really doesn't change based on the student. Actually, it doesn't seem like it's been updated in at least 10 years. I am enrolled in both Algebra 2B and Spanish 1B and I've basically given up on the Algebra course at this point, because trying to do both of them is just too tiring. In in-person learning I used to be a top student in both of these classes. It's really disappointing for me because I have no way of making up the credit.
I can only really speak for the Spanish 1B course, but my general experience has been going something like this:
-Extremely outdated coursework
-Lack of subtitles in audio-based assignments, just generally not accommodating
-Crashing
The stupidest thing I've ever seen. I was mad when I saw my son's grades until I experienced for my self how poorly set up this system is. Gives no explanation on how to do what they want you to do.
This is one of the WORST learning platforms EVER! This site isn't even improving my grades and it doesn't even teach me ANYTHING! I would give this ZERO STARS IF I COULD! SO I GOT ONE LETTER WRONG IN MY ASSIGNMENT THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT IS COMPLETELY WRONG! EDGENUITY, YOU HAVE RUINED MY LIFE!
Tip for consumers:
NEVER USE EDGENUITY! YOU WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE!!
Our school district used Edgenuity as a replacement for in person Global Studies this year. My son has always been a straight A student and has all A's in his "in person" classes. He has been frustrated with the content of the Global Studies class all year long. After hearing his frustration for three months I told him it could not be as bad as he described. I agreed to sit with him through a set of videos. After reviewing the videos I watched him take the ten question quiz at the end. I was shocked at how little the content of the videos helped to take the quiz. Many of the questions asked had little to nothing to do with the video content. The video presenters were not very clear and went way too fast in covering the content requiring a "stop and go" format to take notes. After taking the quiz three times he finally mustered a 70. I contacted several teachers with my concerns. Most who had observed the content agreed it was put together poorly and was far too difficult for the grade level. If you are considering this form of curriculum I would advise you make sure the teachers themselves review the content of these classes and actually take some of the quizzes. I would be surprised if a lot of teachers that took this class did not have issues making a decent grade themselves.
This is the worst thing i've ever encountered in my life. I'm a sophomore in high school and I had to take geometry to keep caught up and it's the most stressful, annoying, uniforming thing i've ever seen it's hilarious how bad it is. It's so boring not trying to be interactive what so ever. But the thing that makes me the most mad is the actual learning. IT DOESN'T EVEN TEACH YOU HOW. For example it will tell you how to do the most basic problems then it gives you problems it hasn't taught you how to tackle, yes it's the same thing but with many different steps and you ask for help and after you get it wrong then you it doesn't show you how to get the problem right so you never learn you just keep messing up until you fail. It's absolutely horrible never in a million years use this, use anything else
I appreciate the quick response from Edgenuity regarding an error in a math problem. I am very impressed with their services and with the curriculum they offer. Keep up the good work!
Very overwelming this is worse than iready and i celibrated when i found out this year i didn't have to do iready but then this came along we soon realized how bad it is and they won't give us a refund so i'm stuck with this until the next sumester, the video's are way to quite, the quizzes are so bad if i wanna get even 80 percent i gotta use Brainly and Quizzlet and now i'm behind because of the stupid unit test and could fail the 8th grade because of this god damn website i was surprised to see other people hate this terrible waste of time so i'm glad im not alone, parents if your reading this, don't buy this website it will be a waste of your money, and fellow students please try to escape this nightmare of a website, and if your parents are thinking of signing you up then show them these reviews i don't want you to suffer like the rest of us, stay safe from websites like this one (for mods of sitejabber yes my mom did buy this for me so i don't have proof of purchase)

I have taught math with an Edgenuity product (Odysseyware) for over 10 years. The product, at least for math, was poorly designed, is not engaging, and contains many errors. It is not at all user-friendly for the student. I was designed for credit-recovery, so intended to be "hands-off" so there are no real communication protocols in place. There is a rudimentary messaging system, but so way to add supplementary material or clarifying information to lessons. It is basically a fake school because a student can be enrolled, pass courses and graduate without learning any content knowledge. This is a problem for ALL students and horribly depressing for teachers. I have had a student finish a course in 2 days and earn a credit without reading a word because all of the decades-old questions are available word for word on brainly.com with the exact wording of the correct answers at your fingertips. Even a good, honest, hard-working student would be frustrated because the lessons are inconsistent and as bare as possible. OW has replaced any organized instructional material with videos of an actor reading some presentation. There is no way for the student to go back and see examples or copy information for notes. The content is so old, and errors so plentiful that it's unbelievable educational commissions would approve the curriculum. The lessons are so monotonous that students get bored, and even the well-intentioned students start taking shortcuts. If you want a credit, or a diploma, you can get it here, and collect the federal funding for your numbers. If you want to learn math, go somewhere else.
Feedback was very timely and courteous. The representative was able to provide detailed information on how to fix the problem we had a bypass and solutions.
I received a prompt reply on how to unfreeze my student's Edgenuity assignment. I was given step-by-step instructions on what to do to solve the issue.

I WAS UNABLE TO REVIEW STUDENT WORK TO GRADE. AFTER I PERFORMED SOME TROUBLESHOOTING ON MY OWN, I CONTACTED MY IN-HOUSE ADMINISTRATION AND THEY FORWARDED THE ISSUE TO EDGENUITY. IT WAS RESOLVED IN ROUGHLY 6 HOURS.
THANK YOU
