It always seems like an uphill struggle to complete booking, extra costs constantly popping up, unwanted promotions getting in the way. An overview of the process from the start would help, I understand that this would be difficult on a mobile app but should be simple on a web interface accessed from a laptop or desktop.

I think the booking is fine, though I have been unable to go to the Air Asia website and confirm that my reservation is there as promised.
The worst part of this is you made me accept a membership to "Prime" which costs more than the flight I booked, and while you promised to have an easy way to cancel that online, THAT IS A LIE. I CANNOT FIND A WAY TO CANCEL THIS UNWANTED COSTLY CRAP ONLINE. Apparently I have to call a phone number to do that. It's a New York area phone number which you said is "toll free" but is not, and you wrote it in a weird way that made it look like an Afghanistan or Tibetan phone number. This is very sleazy, and you know it.
It came up in Kayak as the lowest price, quickest way to fly from Hanoi to Chiang Mai. I have in fact used eDreams before -- in 2023, and it was fine -- I didn't' get barraged by crappy extra "products," "subscriptions" and "memberships" which you make difficult to remove. If future Kayak searches pull up eDreams and other agencies, I will consider using the alternatives, even if it costs a bit more..

Do not book with EDreams, total fraud!
Terrible costumer service.
They will change the currency after you booked and try to take the extra money from your credit cart.
Booked a flight with a stop and they booked just to the first stop, a partial charge so to be able to actually get to the destination I have to pay extra in USD when contacting customers service about 10 times, he said he could help me to finalise the booking but the difference was going to be in Euros.
Then they will tell you they are third party and you have to contact the airline to confirm the booking but that the price will be higher.
A partial booking! Never seen anything like that.
My bank is trying to dispute the transaction now. So frustrating.
I had to block my credit card to stop them taking more money from my account.

Once I book I only like to get an email with a confirmation, bookings details and the option to mange or check in on line. You keep on sending emails with so many options. That it is confusing and the real info gets lost in the jungle of emails

After using eDreams I receive too many emails and it is really boring. EDreams declared as the cheapest way to get the ticket. But you have to fill in many additional details and at the end it was not the cheapest!

I bought a ticket with eDreams that included a layover. I received the boarding pass for the first leg, but not for the second. I was informed that I would receive it up to 8 hours before the flight.
On my way to the airport, I called the second airline. After waiting for 15 minutes, they confirmed that they had no record of a passenger with my details from eDreams and that this issue was common.
I contacted eDreams customer service, and they falsely informed me that the airline had changed the flight, and that they couldn't do anything about it. They completely washed their hands of the matter, leaving me without a solution and showing a total lack of consideration for the customer.
I had to buy a new ticket directly from the airline's website, paying a high price.
I do not recommend this platform at all. They don't care about the customer and offer no solutions in critical moments. "Lamentable" is an understatement.
