“I ordered two 7" netbooks for our girls for Christmas...”

Leah H.
12/31/10

I ordered two 7" netbooks for our girls for Christmas on the Monday before. They arrived on Christmas Eve just in time. We did have an issue with one of the adapters, however a replacement is due to arrive today. My experience with Erik and eGlobalWireless was not bad. We have been able to access the internet on both, although they are a little slow as they did mention on their website. I got what I expected. Apparently, this company was in a bit deep but I they met the challenge of this last minute shopper.

“The product I purchased was not what they described”

The product I purchased was not what they described. They charge 25% for you to return something as a "restocking fee to cover shipping and marketing cost". Warranty is non refundable. I would NEVER get anything from them again. Telling all my friends...

Thank you everyone who posted to this site about eglobalwireless.com. I was about to buy the $99 netbook with money that we really didn't have because my husband wants one so badly. I will wait to purchase after Christmas when they are on sale at a store I can trust. I realize it will be more than $99, but at least I won't have to deal with "customer no service."

I like a lot of u purchased the 7" mini netbook. When i finally got them the boxes were all banged up and laptops wouldnt connect to internet. They were a piece of junk. Then they try to charge a 25% restock. I don't think so. We went through paypal and ended up getting full refund. Don't let this company win. They r scammers. What goes around will come around

I ordered a motorola blue tooth. I thought the price was great until I got the product. It came in a PADDED ENVELOPE. No box instructions no protection of the product. The bluetooth did not work. It was obviously used & defective. I e-mailed with my issue and was told to deal w/ Motorola. I wasn't happy to say the least. I have been a shopper on the net for years and this was by far the WORST experience ever. Luckily Motorola is a great company and took care of it. I got my new bluetooth from them and they 2 -day expressed it. Way to go Motorola. Anyway steer clear of this company. Looks like my experience is similar to others. At this rate they probably won't be around long.

Its horrible. They lied, all there information on there is lies. I am a computer tech and I referred my dad here seeing the deal on the netbooks. I was convinced they were real. They claim 5 star customer service, live chat and tracking numbers. So My dad purchased 2 netbooks, the money got taken out right away. Needless to say, a few days prior to Christmas and bam, no netbooks. So going back to the site, it claimed his email was never registered. Upon calling the number, it just kept you on hold till finally it went silent. I have sent this information to my local news casters, and to the BBB, surprisingly there were no other complaints on there. PEOPLE, send complaints to the BBB. This company must be stopped. They are using a private domain and are scamming people left and right. There website comes up once you enter netbooks in the google search. This isn't right of them to get away with this!

Well I am in the same boat today. I ordered the 7" mini netbook on 12/14/10. As of today, it has not shipped. I paid for the warranty and the 5 dollar shipping. I wish I would have done my homework. I will, however take everyone's advice and call my bank to get a refund. Now I am on the prowl for another netbook.

Thank you all for the advice. Wish me luck!

I placed an order for a pink laptop for my daughter on Thanksgiving and was charged on 11/26. I received an e-mail about purchasing the warranty and replied and did, but never received a reply or confirmation. It is 12/11 and I have yet to receive my laptop for my daughter for Christmas. I am quite disappointed, esp. After reading these reviews. I called the company, sent an e-mail and tried the online chat... none of which were successful. I called my bank and placed a complaint. They had me place a report and started an investigation tonight. My bank is also going to reimburse me my money. I have never run into this type of issue when ordering online! I am not very happy with this siuation.

I ordered a 7 inch notebook, for $100, plus $14 for a two year replacement warranty, and $3 for priority shipping. (Very important: there is also an option to get one in an "open box" for $20 less.) The product came promptly and in some ways was perfectly adequate for the price: screen, touchpad and keyboard all were acceptable. But the performance! As I said to them, it was shocking how little it could do and how slowly it did it, before running out of memory. So I asked to return it and an RMA was quickly issued to me, and I have just gotten word that they have issued a refund: for $75. So, they have a net profit of $39 (product plus warranty minus $75) and a product they can sell again for $80 (with some probable warranty revenue.) It seems that returns with product recycling could be their business model.

Bought 2 netbooks for Christmas and neither would connect wireless to the internet. Company did not respond to emails or phone calls. Finally put the item in dispute but I lost the dispute with the CC because I forgot to get a "3rd party" to verify the units were bad. The CC company finally got the the company on the phone with me and they wanted me to send the units back with another $80 to fix the units (that didn't work in the first place!) Go figure! I finally took the units today to a computer store where the tech finally determine that the units did not have a built in wireless adapter as stated! If this company had any class they would try to make it right but as you can see from the other reviews, they don't. Stay away!

Ordered mini laptop would not charge, sent back at my expense. Replacement would not get a wirelss signal unless 20 feet from router. Sent back again at my expense. They charged me $25 restock and refused to refund my $14 warranty. If this is not fraud, what is?

I also have ordered a 7" Netbook. Ordered on 12/4 added 2 yr warranty and shipping in 3-5 days. Still has not been shipped. Have tried numerous times to contact by phone, live chat and email. But nothing. This is totally rediculous. I have passed up several other Netbook deals waiting on this offer. I fell for the reviews on there website. BOGUS, probably posted by there own employees. I feel that if they are so busy they should give some deserving Americans jobs and extend there hours over the holidays. I sure wish I would've known about this (Sitejabber) before I bought. I guarantee they (eglobalwireless) would not have gotten my business. I will be contacting my bank tomorrow and filing against this company for being fraudulent.

BE CAREFUL!

These people will charge your credit card as soon as you place the order, not when the product ships.

They will try to hustle you into buying warranty coverage. You can pay for priority processing but probably not get it.

They make a science of getting as much of your money as they can.

BE CAREFUL!

Pros: None- good price, but junk netbook. I bought this netbook and had to send it back.

Cons: SLOW, wifi poor. Horrible quality. Has imprint on screen that is distracting.
Instructions included are not very helpful.

Bottomline: Do not purchase. Pay the extra hundred bucks in the store for a functional netbook. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

I should have done more research on these guys for sure! I am finding this site's ad reviews after having been ripped off by the same people but they are going by a new business name eGlobalEletronics.com! The company logo is the same... the pone number is the same... and yes the bogus offers and unresponsive customer service is the same. We ordered 6 netbooks at Thanksgiving and have yet to hear a word. The credit card showed an instant transaction! Thank goodness we have fraud protection for my stupid mistake!

STAY AWAY FROM anything that says eGlobal! Look at the years this company has been ripping people off... shouldn't they have been stopped by now?

I don't make a habit of cussing. These scum after sending us a netbook that got so hot you could fry eggs on it have the adacity to ask for a 25% restocking fee if we return it. From what I have read, they don't even send refunds. I plan to get the FBI fraud unit etc; after them

This website is bullcrap. Placed an order for a netbook. Five days later i contacted the company to see if it had been been shipped I then received a letter stating that when the item is shipped i will be notified. Not that could be when ever one week went passed i received nothing but that took my money. Thanks to my bank they refunded it back to me and they are now filing a complaint against the company and as you can see it has bee two weeks and i have still not recieved the item.

I ordered one of the 7'' netbooks from this site prior to reading many of the negative reviews here. After reading them I immediately was scared and attempted to contact the site to find out when my order would be shipped, more info on the product, and possibly to cancel my order.

Attempts to call their support line were never answered, messages were left both on voicemail and via e-mail with no responses.

HOWEVER, the package did ship two days after I had ordered it (I ordered on Monday and it shipped Wednesday). The item is exactly as described and I am pleased with it.

I can only speak for my own experience and so my conclusion is that their customer service is complete garbage, but I was not scammed and received the product I ordered in reasonable time.

I ordered a camera from here at 6am on Tuesday morning. I was given a tracking number and it was dispatched from Hong Kong about 2 hours later. I signed for it this morning (Thursday) at 10am. I couldn't have got it faster if I'd have ordered from the UK. I paid £218 for something I couldn't have got for £240 elsewhere (although top price would have been + £150). I'm impressed up to now, everything seems to be working ok (will come back on here if it packs up!). I can HONESTLY say I've had a better (certainly faster) experience than buying from over here.

They don't answer their phone or emails and no one is on their "live" chat. I feel so used right now and now my kids have no netbook. I am praying my bank will give me my money back. I ordered the 7" mini notebooks, 3 of them for my kids for Christmas. Paid for priority processing and shipping on Dec 19th. They were not processed until Dec 22, shipped Dec 23rd, and therefore didn't arrive until Dec 27th. Ruined Christmas for my children as they didn't have the laptops I had promised. Once received, two of the laptops won't stay charged! We also can not access the internet. Terrible. I feel so stupid! I am going to pursue this to the fullest extent of the law. What a SCAM!

This company is a scam. No one ever answers the 800 number or live chat because the guy "Jay" is running this scam out of his house. Google map the address, its a house 7523 Silver Woods Ct Boca Raton Florida *******. His real name is Yanki Hofstetter and his wife is Robyn. I had to do a lot of digging to find this out but when I called his cell phone *******442 and let him know I had his personal info and would be giving it to all his unsatisfied customers, I got my money back. Its a shame it had to come to that, but it worked.
