I have purchased a total of seven Ink Jet printers from Epson - The way they treated me was criminal - My wife bought me a new printer for Christmas - It arrived damaged by the shipper - Epson sent a second one - It arrived and didn't work - We bought and paid for a NEW printer - The third printer they sent was refurbished - I refused to accept it - It took the Attorney General's Office for the State of New Hampshire over seven months to get Epson to return my wife's money - Epson has the worst Customer Service of any company in North America - Buy a Canon printer like I did - Over the years I spent over $1,600 dollars on Epson printers and supplies - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EPSON!
Within 1 month the WF-4833 printer began pulling multiple pages from the paper tray when printing or copying. It now does it consistently. I contacted Epson and followed all their test procedures after which they determined it needed to be replaced. I sent them the receipt for the purchase and the serial number. They replied saying that the serial number indicated it was not purchased from an Epson Dealer, therefore there was no warranty. Period. No more discussion.
I purchased this on Amazon from a seller called Wintshop. When I contacted them about this, they replied that I was no longer within the 30 day return window, therefore they would do nothing. This was day 35 after the purchase. I am out of luck, stuck with a printer that 100% of the time does not function. The product is poor and Epson as a company is poor as well. They honestly expected me to research who I was buying the product from and somehow confirm that buying from them would not void the manufacturers warranty. This was a new, unopened box purchase on Amazon. Beware.
The WORST Customer service Company ever...My company will NEVER BUY from them ever again...
Their products stop working after a few months and they NEVER REPLACE them with a new ones!
PLEASE DO NOT BUY from EPSON!
No need to bother with refueling, pre-set CISS only facilitates the process. Good print quality. Scanner and copier that is always at hand. And it's all in one device, whose name is Epson L210.
Do NOT invest your hard-earned money with any Epson product. They are easily the most frustrating and ethically bankrupt company you could imagine dealing with. We're on our second 5040UB projector which is now suffering from the same malfunction as the first. When they replaced the original one, we were given a refurbished unit which has now failed. Numerous calls to Customer Resolution have yielded zero results. Worse yet, I forwarded official Letters Of Inquiry to their CEO, Keith Kratzberg as well as a Senior VP and weren't even provided the courtesy of a response! Sorry, but as a journalist and consumer advocate for over thirty years, I've never been slighted in such a way. And here's the kicker: I spent hours doing my homework, including interviews with five different Epson Home Theater Dealers. The feedback was eerily similar and entirely disconcerting. The takeaway was that, if your projector actually lasts through the end of its two year warranty, you've done well. Yes. That's what I was told, over and over. A disposable $30 toaster? I get it. A disposable $3000 projector? That's a crime. Again, don't do business with this company. In fact, don't walk away from their products... RUN!
I like to share my experience about Epson customer service. It's about my recent black ink cartridge purchase. The issue is the new cartridge has a grainy print quality. Customer service transferred me to technical support even though I asked for their returns department. I clearly explained to technical support the issue is with the black cartridge. That didn't matter to them. They insisted I performed a printer test for head setup and cleaning; downloaded on my printer by them. So, I did. This is where the crap started to happen. Because I performed the test, I could not get a replacement for the black ink cartridge. Then upon several attempts to call back hoping to get the returns department, I was told my printer is out of warranty by technical support. It was excuse after excuse to not refund or replace the cartridge. Upon my final call back, I get the returns department. She couldn't offer a replacement, since technical support flagged it for a printer issue. My printer worked good before replacing the black cartridge. Epson is willing to take your money and does not stand behind their guarantee. They are fraudulent in their business ways. Long and short of it, I won't be able to get those 3 hours back in my life!
My last three printers have been Epson Printers. I had problems with them but nothing serious like I have had with this last one I purchased. I have a problem, since day one, with the printer connecting to internet. I can't do any kind of internet printing. I purchased this printer in August of 2017 and it is still under warranty. I talked with Epson support many, many times about this problem They try this and try that but nothing works to get it on network. I have had Microsoft, Driver Support and many other techs try and fix it. Some have spent days working on it. So, this week I talked with Corporate offices about it. They have THREE of their senior techs try and fix it. The last one thought for sure he had it fixed. I tried it, no, it's not fixed. The printer cannot find the computer nor can the computer find the printer. Corporate sent me an email saying they would exchange it but when I tried to do that it was flat out refused. They say they cannot give me my money back nor will they exchange it. They refuse to honor their warranty. First statement they give you on their website and emails is "we repair to your satisfaction. Not ours but Your satisfaction". I told them I wasn't satisfied. They refused. Now, I'm stuck with a printer that doesn't work and isn't even backed by their company.
Epson is NOT the place to purchase a printer. They don't hold up even for the warranty period. They do NOT honor their warranty. They are the worst of the worst for printers. DO NOT BUY EPSON PRODUCTS
Bought 4 epson FX-890II-N and 2 DFX-9500 printers in 10/2019, all advertised with 3 years warranty.
Tried to get FX-890IIN serviced on 04/07/2021, their web site claimed it is out of warranty? They don't seemed to honor it? Bought them directly from epson and provided their order #.
So far no cooperation, been in business since 1985, guessed I will have to recommend Okidata?
Such sad company...
DO NOT EXPECT EPSON TO BACK THEIR PRODUCTS...
ET 4800
I purchased a new Epson ET 4800 all in one printer on Amazon Jan 30 2024. I didn't to get to open box for almost a month due to my sons medical condition. I had purchased it because I had to fax papers to different hospitals to try and get my son into a cancer trial. After using product 4 times maybe the printer I received says error message Jam needed to be cleared, there was no jam I opened up top and saw their was a stem with a wheel that was out so that must have been the problem. I called amazon they told me to call epson for warranty. I called Epson who replaced it after back going and forth with them. They needed pictures of serial
Number, receipt for printer, broken part inside of printer. After I did that it was no good because is was HEIC not a Jpeg. I had to get someone to do this for me because I am not up on these things Im 76 and this stuff was over my head. I finally sent them everything and they told me to send printer back and when they received it they would send me another. I got the new one and it is a refurbished printer so I called and was told that was their policy because it was over 30 days. I didn't buy a refurbished printer because I wanted a new one I told the person plus I could have paid less. Anyway I received the refurbished one and set it up a few days later because my son was back in the hospital for another week. I set it up and Color didn't work. I called support and after a hour with tech support doing all kinds a head cleaning. She tells me to call back the next day because they are closing and the last step which we did two times will take time. Next day i check printer and I get a message saying Ink Pad is nearing the end of life. Now I call back and I'm on the phone again for 30 minutes and she tells me she has to turn me over to someone else to do a return. Now they want me to go thru the same things again pictures of serial numbers, receipt of original printer purchase, picture of printer error message to send this printer back. It just came why do I have to do all this again. I didn't even make the last payment and I'm ready to throw it in the garbage. This was my first Epson product and probably my last. Im not a rich person and now I have to buy another printer, this really sucks.
I was excited to purchase an Epson printer. However I have run into some issues.
I purchased the printer at Wal Mart on 11/28/22.
The box indicated was a model 2803.
Serial # XAKL*******.
It was packaged as a new machine.
Opening the box at home reveled something different than the box it came in.
It was a model 2702.
Serial # X6ND*******.
I tried to return it to Wal Mart, but they declined the return because the serial number on the
Box was different than the one on the machine. The Manager of the electronics department said it
Was used.
The printer was loaded with ink and there was no instruction book enclosed. I tried to use it as Wal Mart
Declined the return. It appears to be a used printer.
Since the return was declined I tried to use the printer. It did not print correctly. After many tries with your customer service personnel and following their instructions I cannot get it to print correctly. Lines are
Still missing when I run a print test or try to print a document. The last contact with your customer service
Personnel was on 12/8/22. Reference # 221 208 001 991.
I am now out $259. Evidently I have been scammed. I need you folks to make it right. Also I do not plan to drive to your nearest service center which is 150 miles away. Either refund my $ 250 or send me the right printer
Answer: Epson ET-5880 printer worked great for a year and 5 months but is now failing. Epson support is not replying to ink rebate emails or warranty problem.
Answer: I have all these same problems with Epson and am still looking for the answer.
