Sent them my $700 Maui Jim prescription sunglasses to repair - never to be seen again! Refuse to answer emails or calls. They did admit they lost my order and requested my information saying they would replace - No Action and simply a delay tactic. Reported business to the BBB - not really hoping to get satisfaction. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Do not send your glasses to this fake company. If they get your number or Email they will harass you early in the morning and night. They tried to get money out of me for a fake mailing coupon. Horrible and nasty people.
Returned the glasses stating I paid for a temple replacement (only the tips were changed). The lab person sent me so many inappropriate jokes and mockery, which I saved. Then, proceeded to tell me he had done a great job, and if I was not satisfied I could send them to another place, this is after he asked for a tip. They returned the glasses, and I paid for shipping and asked me to rate them.
I will never use them again.
I paid $88.00 for a repair to my Rayban Wayfairer spare glasses. I paid for genuine Rayban Polarized Amber lenses. What I received was grossly substandard cheap imitation lenses (the kind you can buy for near nothing on Amazon). Roberto there told me the real lenses were not available for these glasses, other repair shops say otherwise.
My glasses lenses are not the right tint, they are thin, they are cheap plastic, and I am pretty sure they are not polarized. If I had wanted this I could have bought the amazon lenses and popped them in myself, its not rocket science.
You may have guessed already, these guys have lost my business.
Roberto said that reviews didn't bother him, he has thousands of website hits every day.
The only think worse that the bad repair was the attitude. I have my emails if anyone wants them.
Excellent service Although it didnt take long time for me to receive my shipping order they did explain they had to source my glasses from Italy. I was happy to wait as I love the style and know they suited me. Communication was quick and responses were received almost immediately.
I've used Eyeglassesdepot several times several time's now and I can't fault the products or the service. I've also had to return a pair of Persol's that I didn't like and the return process was faultless - I used recorded delivery for peace of mind, but they do supply a return envelope and the refund was processed Straight away and took about two days. Brilliant online retailer and I will be using them again in future.
I do not recommend this company I asked for a repair quote and was told I had to send my glasses to them first, although I knew what repair/parts were needed and the model of the glasses. So I sent to them. More than 2 weeks later I received an email saying they were really busy and would get to my estimate that weekend. Another week went by. Then, they told me they couldn't get the parts, but they would replace the frames completely for many hundreds of dollars. When I finally received the glasses back from them (I've now been without glasses for 5 weeks), they did not mail back the case. I called and left a message. They responded via email that their policy clearly states to NOT mail the glasses with their cases. I responded, "rude." Arsenio responded with even more rudeness, "Rude? Because you didn't read the policy?"
They charged me &96.99 on 12/10/21 to fix my glasses. On 12/13/21 the glasses arrived at my house NOT fixed. I call, sent videos of my glasses not fixed. Sam, the person who claimed to have fixed the glasses, sent insult text messages and told me to stop calling them. I have filled a complain about them with the better business bureau. They are awful
Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that VITALY BORKER, the operator of "EyeglassesDepot.com" and other online retailers of purported designer eyewear, pled guilty today to one count of wire fraud in connection with a scheme to defraud customers of his websites. BORKER pled guilty before United States District Judge Jed S. Rakoff.
U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said: "Once again, Vitaly Borker has pled guilty to crimes relating to his fraudulent operation of eyewear websites. Borker's plea today demonstrates this Office's intolerance for recidivism, and we can only hope that the third time is the charm and that Borker finally learns his lesson.
I sent in three pairs of sunglasses for repair. Nothing about the experience was normal or professional. After many disturbing interactions with them, I received only two pairs of sunglasses back (they lost or stole the third) and neither of the pairs I got back were properly repaired (they put on mismatched temples for one, they didn't even repair the lenses on the other). Now, the owner is harassing me by text and email and online because I wrote a negative review of them. It seems clear to me that the person behind EyeGlassesDepot is the same person the New York Times names in their recent article, Vitaly Borker. Anyone thinking about doing business with this company should read the articles. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/02/business/vitaly-borker-online-retail.html
Sent my glasses in to be repaired and paid return
Shipping and they will not send them back to me. Have called and called and sent email after email begging for them to return my glasses but they simply won't do it. If you don't want to loose your glasses then
Definitely DO NOT USE these THIEFS
Not worth any but had to leave 1 to submit this review
I ordered glasses, got a confirmation number, and never heard from them again. After 1.5 months, I cancelled. I called and emailed and received no response.
Do not confuse this business with others with similar name with good reviews. A total sham. They lie, are rude and have no customer service with any authority. They will hound you with emails and txt at midnight and even send the USPS to your house if you don't mail your repair quick enough. AND, after all that they will send you a TXT asking you for a gratuity for their service. Because they didn't make enough and don't I deserve a tip? I could go on!
STAY AWAY! EyeglassesDepot is infamous for criminal behavior! Its owner Vitaly Borker has made personal and physical threats and harassed dissatisfied customers repeatedly, going as far as to dox their addresses and personal information and threaten physical violence!

I sent my designer sunglasses to be repaired and the representative got in touch with me and afthearing the price I asked him if it was posible to replace them. He checked and found the last pair of the discontinued style.
Thanks to Arsenio and his good communication and follow up, I now have a brand new pair of my favorite glasses. He was excellent and I appreciated it.
I sent 2 pair of frames in for repair and they claim they only have 1 pair. I enquired about the work and what frames are being repaired and they yet to reply to my enquiry. They keep sending a link for payment totally ignoring my enquiry. I canceled the repair and requested my frames back and I was told I have to send a check or money order to get my frames back for work they did not do...
Sent 3 pairs of Costa Delmar sunglasses to have the nose piece repaired. They (he) sent me and invoice to repair each nose piece for $99. I asked them to send them back to me due to the fact I wasn't gonna put another $300 bucks into them. They come back with a discounted offer off $85 a piece. I refused and politely asked them to ship them back to me. I get a shipping invoice and pay it 2 days later. I get an email that I abandoned the sunglasses and they weren't a junkyard to leave crap laying around at their place so one email told me they were thrown away and another email told me they were donated. I called customer service 5 times and got the same story that they were being sent back but got emails saying they were disposed of. This place is a joke and I would beware and read the other reviews before doing any business with them
I'm sure they do good work, but their customer service SUCKS!
I placed an order on Saturday Nov 28th, they mailed me a pre-paid shipping label (nice, right?) I was out of town Monday and Tuesday, but got SMS messages both days to remind me to ship it, as well as emails.
I had scheduled a Wednesday pickup with USPS, but cancelled it on Tuesday evening after the repeated spam type messages, thinking I don't want to deal with this company. I replied to the following days SMS messages with STOP, I don't want to do business with you" but they continued daily. I finally heard after the daily spam messages from a guy on 12/9 saying i owed him a $9.99 cancel fee (hidden on his faq page and NOT in his terms or agreed to sale)
I paid it, but want everyone to be aware of how shady this company is.
Eyeglassesdepot sucks!
Don't ever do business with them!
If you have Maui Jim sunglasses and need repairs, beware when going on their website; Deb somehow got redirected to Eyeglassesdepot.com, who stated they would fix them. She had broken the nosepiece only, so we packed them up separately and in a MJ hard case and sent them in.
Once they got them, there was confusion on their part about fixing them, and after several absolutely rude communications from their service department, they stated they couldn't fix them and we had to pay them to ship them back.
When we finally got them back, they had been just packed together in a plastic ziplock snack bag, and in such a manner that they rubbed together causing the lenses to be scratched, and without the hard case they were shipped to them in!
What a bunch of unprofessional crooks!
Poor Customer Service and they are holding my old glasses hostage.
I sent my Adidas prescription glasses in to repair a broken hinge There reply was it couldn't be fixed and when I didn't want an upsell for new glasses I asked for the old glasses back. They want $14 to send the glasses back. This is a scam to get you to buy new glasses. I can buy new parts for the Adidas frames
Myself and the $14 return charge is outrageous.
Beware!
