You would think the type of company this is there would be better service. So many orders have been delayed for no reason, no update on my order even when their website says the delievery date but that date has come and gone with no new delivery date. Go to their main hub (Tracy CA) to pick up an order that was supposed to be delivered but wasn't and that is the biggest nightmare of all to get any customer service. Waited 2 hours for my order and had 3 people come to the door after ringing the bell multiple times. Nobody knows what was going on. Sad looking at thier reivews is only 1 you would think they would try to improve thier quality of work.
I guess with people always using them they have no desire to improve. I refuse to use fedex and will no longer shop with vendors who use fedex if at all possible. The delivery drivers who deliver have always been pleasant.

They called me to tell me they tried to deliver my package 3 times. It's funny that that's the first call I got. My door note, buzz or call till to late. Sham company. Never use again

Terrible customer service, unusable mobile app, they NEVER honor shipping times, their employees STEAL packages with ZERO repercussions. The WORST mail carrier by far.

Horrible Service

Never reliable. After the first failed attempt, I literally set in from of my house the next day to receive the package, to not miss the driver. I went outside at 3PM, and sat outside. As I sat outside, I received a text on my phone at 3:35, that the driver tried to deliver at 3:35PM and that we were not home. Unless he came down the chimney or via drone, I am not sure how I could miss a Fedex driver and truck. Called Fedex at 3:40 to see what can be done, I was told to wait for the next day and they gave me another time slot. Or I have to drive 45min each way in LA traffic to get to the nearest Fedex station. I live in West Hollywood, in the center of LA, and the closest center to pick up is Irving. Nothing about fedex is convenient. They do not allow for a signature release, to pick up from somewhere close, and most importantly they lie about showing up. A turtle or a pigeon is more relaible for deliveries.

FedEx is awful

I ordered something to be delivered for my daughter's birthday. I got a message on 5/8 saying that there was an attempt to deliver my package but they could not because "the business was closed for a holiday". It was going to my residence and it's not a holiday. I called the following morning to make sure they were delivering to the correct address and the agent assured me they were. Said she made notes "this is a residence". I get notification that the package has been delivered and I look at the picture, it's not my house. Now I have to talk to the company who sent it for a resolution because FedEx won't do anything. Now that company has me dinged because FedEx can't do their job. You have one job FedEx! The photos are my house vs the delivery photo.

Tracked and waited for a replacement credit card sent Express FedEx and it was to arrive by noon. At 1 pm, I tracked it again and the site said delivery had been attempted at 12:01 pm, but no one was available to sign for it. I had been sitting in my living room with a view of the front door's window. There was no knock on the door. There was no doorbell ring. No door tag was left. The driver f-ed up and lied to his company. FedEx blows and I'll NEVER use such an incompetent, lying company for ANY of my shipments.

On April 6, I mailed a package (16 lbs, $402.63) to the hotel we were going to stay at in Amsterdam. I was told the package would be delivered on April 12, the day we were scheduled to arrive at the hotel. The package contained heavy items we were going to use on our trip but did not want to carry as we traveled. On April 10, I got an email saying my package was in Holland at customs and they needed a copy of my passport and an itemized list of what was in the package so it could clear customs as a tourist item. I immediately sent the requested information.

When we arrived the package was not there. The package did not come on April 13. On April 14 the package had still not arrived. I asked the hotel concierge to call Fedex and find out what the problem was. They connected with FedEx and learned that they were not able to open the attachments to my email. My problem was, why did they not immediately contact me and tell me there was a problem? I immediately sent another set of the attachments but that was on Friday, April 14. Unfortunately, FedEx in Amsterdam is closed on Saturday and Sunday. So nothing happened. On Monday, late in the morning I got an email from FedEx saying my package had been delivered. Unfortunately, the delivery was made three hours after we had checked out of the hotel and were at Schipol airport waiting for our flight back to the USA.

I wish FedEx would have let me know as soon as they found out that the attachments to my email couldn't be opened instead of waiting and doing nothing until I called them to see what the delay was.

Fed-Ex tried to deliver to business 6:58 AM Saturday (still closed). Will try again Monday (we're closed Sun & Mon, open Tue-Sat.). So, come Monday afternoon, they'll report have tried 2 out of 3 times - one more and then will send back to sender, else I can drive 20 miles across city to sketchy business district and try to pick up myself at their counter. Customer Service says they have no way to influence drivers or give feedback, and that they don't try business deliveries Saturdays (I can only tell them what their own system has reported!) Prior driver lied in writing! Claimed they tried business delivery Saturday, then Sunday, then Monday - and then scheduled materials to go back to sender. Only thing is: they're not supposed to try business deliveries 7 AM Saturdays, they DO NOT deliver on Sundays, and NO EFFORT was made to deliver Monday AM - I know, I was six feet from the door for an uninterrupted five hours! Shame on FedEx!

Pickup never stopped by to pick up on the intended date and didn't come to follow up during the following week.
Once they picked the package and agreed to send it overnight, they entered in the system that will be delivered again 2 days after (that really means - more than 1 week after the intended date).
We tried to call them to coordinate the delivery and suddenly an automatic message appeared that the package was going to be delivered next Monday (2 days after).
Worst experience ever.
The client won't be receiving the package until another week after as she needs to travel outside the country that Monday.

Please don't send parcels and receive them through FedEx. They would delay your parcel. They would destroy your parcel like anything. Very unprofessional, stupid and dumb people. I wonder how this company even exist on Earth. I think FedEx is recruiting all dumb people in this world. They deserve just 0 stars or even negative.

I grew up respecting some brands as they exemplify the work ethics I embrace. FedEx was one of these companies. In my mind, FedEx was synonymous with excellence, reliability, and trust. However, a recent encounter, one single encounter was more than sufficient for me to question the image I have of this brand!

A FedEx driver handed over my laptop to a stranger who happened to be in the area without any verification of identity. The address to be shipped to is an apartment. A signature was required. Nobody walked into the building between 11 am and 12 pm on that day per security camera! The driver is either lying or he made a very big mistake.

I went to the local FedEx Ground to address the matter and I was welcomed by the staff there. They promised to call back to update me on the investigation within 24-48 business hours. To pacify me, one of the managers gave me his cell phone number, which was worthless as he never responded to any of my attempts to contact him. It's been 5 days and they have yet to call back. I called customer service 32 times only to be told that someone will call back. I have yet to get that call.

FedEx just sent me an email informing me that they rejected my claim citing: 'Our records indicate that the delivery options available with the Direct Signature Required service were followed, and there is no evidence of mishandling on the part of FedEx.' This is incredibly frustrating! How could the workflow allow for such a massive margin of error? Any shipment can be handed over to any person who might be passing by the building! The address had a unique unit number. Dropping it off with any person who does not live in that unique address is an act of gross negligence.

I am utterly shocked that this is FedEx's definition of customer service!

Unethical, apathetic, and incompetent. That's my impression of FedEx after this experience. I don't understand how they were able to get 2.8 stars. If my experience is a representative autopsy of their institutional culture, then one star would be too generous of a grade.

Excellence in service delivery, humility, and integrity are key ingredients to the success of any business, big or small. When missed, it will be a matter of time before other businesses will take their share in the market and turn businesses like FedEx and FedEx Ground into a legacy that once existed, scaled, and then vanished.

Delivered package to the wrong address. Fortunately, the homeowner called me and I went over and picked the package up. Last week the driver failed to ring the doorbell. I had signed up for FedEx tracking and as soon as I got the text saying the package had been delivered I went outside to retrieve it. It had already been stolen off of the porch.

When I called FedEx customer service to bring it to their attention the customer service representative advised me that "drivers are not required to ring the doorbell". And yet they have time to take a photo of the package sitting on the porch.

Worst company ever and I'm going to advise retailers that I'm not going to do business with them if they use FedEx as the delivery company.

I don't have these problems with United Parcel Service or the US Postal Service.

Our company was expecting a check to be delivered by FedEx, upon checking the tracking it said it was delivered at 11:50 AM and signed for by A.BF, there is no one at our company with those initials and no envelope. It was a windy rainy day, upon looking the next day at our ring cameras, the driver just left an envelope at a door - no box to put it in just laid it on the ground - after searching the storage facility propoerty we found the envelope soaked!
When we called to file a complaint against the driver if we didn't have his name or license # they couldn't do anything! I would not use FedEx if you are shipping anything important.

I'm having an issue with a FedEx who text me whilst on my way to work this morning to say they were delivering an item today - an item which I asked not to be delivered today and which yesterday they confirmed would not be. They don't have a telephone number for customer service so I opened a 'live chat' with 'Christopher' on their website BEFORE 9am. Once I sent my name, address, phone number and details of what the problem with the delivery was (he requested this information at the beginning of our live messaging chat) I HEARD NOTHING ELSE FROM HIM! It's been over 5 hours since I opened this chat and although I've messaged regularly through this time, I'm still waiting for a reply! I will complain to the company who hired them for their deliveries now as I won't order anything from that company again for fear of the same horrendous experience with FedEx customer services

Terrible just lies
If you Sent texts that your delivery is before 3pm still getting updates at 6:15 pm that is still on its way. This was a waste of my Saturday.
Now nothing is coming today. My time is nothing to FedEx. Shame on there lack of values as a company.

The shipment is not delivered and I contacted with FedEx office so many times to clarify what is the issue. But unfortunately, on each phone call the managers with whom I talked, just were promised that they will check and call me back but no one called me back and explained why my shipment till now not been delivered. And even nobody knows when to expect the delivery.
Not recommended to have a deal!

I tried 4 times to change the delivery but the system would not work. It took me an entire week to get my very expensive package. Even though I kept setting it up for pickup they just kept trying to deliver it when I kept telling them I would not be there for a signature. Freaking MORONS. Now I have a return on that same package and there is still now help. System still is OFF LINE.

Lost another package

Ordered part for a machine that is broke down. Supplier of parts 5 hours away. Fedx said they could have them here 3 to 5 days. Parts shipped got to the hub in Montgomery, AL in two days. From there nothing hub has no idea where the Parts are. Fedx suggested I purchase the parts again and have them shipped a second time while they try to find the parts that was supposed to be here no later than today. 5 days after being paid for and picked up. They also want me to pay the shipping fee again. Fedx does not care about customers, only their money. They have lousy customer service. Advised it would be up to a week to get a status update. Meanwhile I'm out $500.00 worth of parts and a $80,000 piece of machinery not making money because of Fedx and their sloppy management of packages.
