Want to be lied to? Then Fidelity is right for you!I have not gone a single month without a problem with my account. I am lied to constantly. They make excuses about everything. Say they can't fix the issue then just leave the account broken! Real professional. I only recommend Fidelity to people I don't like.
Fidelity has very poor investment options. I submitted a request to move my funds to a money market account on December 22nd. The Fidelity rep did not move the funds as requested. Their reps are very unreliable & unethical. I will never do any business with them ever again.
At 25th of Aug I tried making a payment, didn't go through b cause insufficient, that's fine. However when I hear a different moron spewing the same buritcrat crap about waiting on having my card registered, it was and no it's not for some reason. I tried making another pay the 8th of September and I had finds. But I'm given more crap talk about wait, wait, and wait...I've been waiting since the 25 th of August, been trying to bend over backwards for these morons again and again and again! Is it incompetence or stupidity? Cause right now I lable the work force of fidelity as both.(Special ed)
I'm very satisfied with fidelity.com. It's easy to navigate and find things. It also links to my pension from a former employer which is nice.
I've had no complaints until the past few months when a local Fidelity rep has called me 3 times wanting to discuss how my assets are allocated. If I wanted to discuss this I would call them.
Am long time, several decades, customer with Fidelity. Their product breadth has grown over the years and one could readily find any investment need on their site. Additionally they provide excellent educational resources for those needing more information. Finally, customer service is very, very strong... always able to handle my questions.
I've had a fidelity account over 20 years. Pros, fidelity is a trustworthy company, customer service is top notch w/ excellent agents. Fees are reasonable and not hidden. That Earns them the second star. Cons Unfortunately I do all my banking from my phone. In the last six months Fidelity's app has failed miserably fingerprint no longer works or is erratic. I no longer use the app. Logging on to their website from my phone is cumbersome. The website is very outdated for Android phone format. It seems their technology is stuck on Windows 98. Which is adequate for desktop users. Hopefully they will modernize this antiquated system, patience is running thin. In-depth research some investing CD's and rollover activities are limited without speaking to an agent.
You can call them anytime. They make things convenient and have an old school approach to customer service. Only thing wrong with them is their UI on their web, mobile app would be dated 10 years ago. Their active trader program on Mac is some emulated layer on a wine server or something: functional but slow as molasses. They'd make a killing if they embraced normal modern standards.
After 2 weeks of giving them the correct banking information and paying well over 20% in penalties, my deposit has been rejected 4 times because they've purposely entered the account as a checking instead of a savings. Even put them on the phone with a banker directly. Now they've forced a mail in that can take a month or more for me to receive. OH yea, that's costing 25 more bucks. Thank you for absolutely nothing.
I waited on a phone call for an hour and they said that nothing could be done at the time. Note that this company is the one one of the few trading platforms I have. It is by far, the slowest and the rudest customer service I've experienced. The guy I was talking to let out a deep sigh when I was talking to him. It's not my problem that you signed up for the job, but don't lash it out to customers. If my company didn't choose fidelity as its Roth IRA platform, I would've transferred long ago. Better to stick with TD Ameritrade than this site.
To complain,I have to fill in tick boxes. If I tick other, they can't deal with it.It is impossible to send a secure message.
Their costs have gone up to £90 pa for small investors.Have spent a morning trying to close account online, impossible. I have now sent them snail mail letter, hope I don't lose any more money during the wait.Small investors not welcome.
Answer: Expect to wait on hold for 15mnto 30mn and get nowhere when you get someone on the phone.
