I fell behind on payments and they "helped" me by setting up a 30 dollar monthly payment only to turn around and charge me 30 dollars in late fees! Way to go! Not to mention they will continue for months in interest and late fees before closing account. GREED is an ugly thing.

Fraudsters

March of 2022 Fingerhut changed banks. When they did they opened new accounts for all customers. Deleting our credit history. I lost 7.2 yrs. Now I have to submit a complaint to all agencies and credit bearus to try n get this fixed. Furious doesn't even begin to express how I feel rn. So everyone who sees my review here. Needs to write a letter asking for this to be corrected. Send it to all credit agencies and the fingerhut creditor. Along with proof they screwed u(pics of credit gone etc) keep original copies. Report them to ATG and FTC etc. Maybe even media outlets. This is big on a grand scale. Imagine how many big the customer base is? They screwed us all. Might even reach a civil suit!

Paid off account
March 21, 2023

I totally paid off account a zero balance. When I tried to order something new they said account closed because of other accounts that have nothing to do with them at all. They way way over charge but I have been working on rebuilding my credit. I was told they were good for this.

Instead I over paid and tried to reorder and was denied.

HORRIBLE people

Recently I purchased an item at FingerHut that weighed less than a pound. When it came to shipping, it appeared that they were charging of $14.99 for 2-day shipping... so I agreed to pay that amount since I needed the item quickly. However, I have since learned that they ship UPS Ground and charged $14.99. Additionally, that $59 FingerHut item retails locally for $34.50! FingerHut is a RIP-OFF company that charges its customers high prices for mediocre products; and profit even more by charging customers unnecessarily high shipping costs!

I am a product review consultant analyzing data on different online merchants and there advertising we got our data in and could not believe what we seen. I aam very shocked on everything they claim from credit to easy pay to delivery very lucky to get anything from this company they should be jailed I'm sure the athoritys are looking into what went wrong with this company. Don't be a victim contact Better Business Bureau immediately.

Fingerhut sent me a magazine in the mail saying pre- approved for $400 promoting they could help my credit score. I'm currently building my credit. They did a hard inquiry that reduced my credit score then turned around and denied me!

My order for pokemon Moon to help build my credit was canceled after they took 30 dollars from me. Instead of giving it back they insisted on reordering it and i let them after getting frustrated with the lady on the phone who i barely understood though her indian accent.

Awful Customer service. I ordered a Shark Vacuum from them and then my package was stolen from my front door. I contacted them about it for a replacement and they said package was delivered to correct address and there was nothing they could do and I will still be billed for the items. Even though I don't have the item. They don't care about the customer at all.

The highest interest rates ever! I encourage people not to participate. It should be against the law for interest to be that high roughly 30%. The product they sell are 20% above the retail market price value aswell. Buy Beware.

I only used them once back in November 2017 for a Xmas present for my daughter. When I looked at the account last week they changed the purchase date from November 2017 to May 2018 and erased 5 months of payments. When I contacted them and they would not look into it. I said I can prove it and they still refused to look at it, so I filed with the State and gave the State my bank records. Save your money you will be happier

I love ordering from fingerhut, not only is it easy but they show you how much they appreciate your business and paying on time. I made all of my payments on time and after a few months they increased my credit limit, so that helps my credit rating out!

Scam company
April 6, 2017

Garbage company, returned an item. Which i had payed some money on, instead of clearing the remaining fee. (No credit or refund for what i already paid.) Still in the box, got a late fee/shipping fee? On top of you still want myself to pay for the item i sent back unused?
Was denied a right to a supervisor by EVELYN@ st. Cloud mn...
Have been dodged from a supervisor twice now. (I work as a supervisor for a different company... you can't just hide from customer service.)

LOL call my house again, my lawyer is waiting to hear from you.

About 2 years ago I joined the Fingerhut Fresh Start Program. On 09/30/2020 I placed my first order. I will not receive the order until 10/13/2020. 2 week shipping that is ridiculous! I paid full price on shipping. $33.00 dollars on an order costing $111.00 + tax. Also on the Fresh Start Program you fo not qualify for any discounted offers from Fingerhut such as free shipping or percentage discounts. Fingerhut Fresh Start Program is CROOKED. Bottom line first and last order made to Fingerhut it is crooked BEWARE!

Incompetent. Wil overcharge you including shipping for exchanges. Ridiculous. Customer service either doesnt care or doesnt understand. So frustrating. You do what they tell you to do in order to exchange something, not return, and they return it so you order it again and pay more shipping. I ended up cancelling. Their shipping is over a week as well, which in this day and age is wrong on all levels. DONT SHOP AT FINGERHUT unless you want to be screwed over, big time

This company is a rip off at gets finest. I never miss payment with this company. I call when I was laid off due to COVID-19. I was told they would not add a late fee. Not only did they had late fees after not paying one week after due date but also added more interest. Customer service would not admit they were wrong. Never doing business with this company again. Run away from this company as fast as you can. You are better off saving your money for what you want. Only reason they got 1 star is because i was force to in order to post review. Don't deserve half of a star.

I had terrible credit and was in need of some products for my home and my newborn and with Fingerhut they open a loan of $200 in which I pay it quickly then in one month they increase my credit limit to $800 on top of that the items they sale are good quality best of all is that even though I was broke I got to used my $800 new credit limit and order others things I need for my house. The best part of Fingerhut is that bc of having an account with them my credit when from 400 to 585 and is still increasing. I love Fingerhut and will recommend to anyone.

FRAUD
January 28, 2021

Never heard of this company, but it came up on a credit report as delinquent. Called the company. Someone opened an account with our name and purchased knives that were shipped to another state. We were never sent a bill at our address. We never would have known until we saw the credit report, and the company refuses to fix it.
Never heard of them prior to this incident. Never ordered anything, never received anything... yet are STILL being negatively impacted by them.
Reported to Police today and will send to Division of Consumer Affairs.
Fingerhuy sent back 2 separate form letters basically telling us it was our problem, and to pay the bill.
Outrageous.

LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER

I moved, changed all my info online and they locked my account and asked for a copy of my ssn card emailed to them plus license and utility bill before they'd unlock my account. Right as Christmas shopping begins. Been with them 3 years, loyal customer with high credit. No way on this planet will I ever email my SSN card to anyone. I'll be closing this account ASAP. It's crap.

Terribly Irresponsible Company

Spent close to $3,000.00 on one single order and all but one of my 11 items were shipped to right address. I've called five times to this company, and tried to understand their outsourced claims department all five times, just so they could ship my bed frame to Minnesota... I live in South Carolina. They messed up and now I have to fill out a form so they can process it in two days? Then ship another bed frame another two weeks from now? But if I delay the payment by a month, I'm sure that wouldn't be fine right? How fair is this? If you like buying overpriced items that may be in working order and wasting your time running back and forth to ups to ship defective products back, then this is the company for you. Not me. Terrible experiences since they changed to fingerfetti, or whatever they call themselves now. Unsatisfied!

Horrible Company!

I have decided to STOP getting stuff from this Horrible Company and they keep calling me, saying that I still OWE them money and now they're calling my boyfriend too!. L am also getting e mails from them. I Already paid them but now I'm suppose to pay the interest too. They have my credit card information, my phone number, my email address and now my boyfriend 's information too. Very Annoying, horrible!. Stop bothering people!
