I'm doing a lot of online shopping! Recently bought flooring and lighting from wayfair and lumber liquidators and some miscellaneous items from Walmart, etc. Got a $543 rebate check for October. Awesome! The membership has paid for itself many times over! Awesome!
This site was advertised to me after I made a purchase, making me believe that there was money to be saved on the purchase I just made. This is not the case. Essentially you have to buy the item through this website (yes, website, they do not have an app). They will charge you $20 to sign up. Since you already made the purchase, there is no money to be saved for you. & then they will charge you $20 again next month. & $20 more the month after that. They only give 10% back so you would have to buy at least $200 worth of stuff from THEIR SITE per month just to break even. 0 Stars.
My wife noticed a debit on her card for two months-worth of a FreeShipping subscription. We never signed up for this site in the first place, nor would we want to since we get free shipping everywhere already (and FreeShipping's subscription isn't even free in the first place). When my wife called to get some answers, she was greeted by a rude and condescending employee who told her she signed up at a place she never goes to.
FreeShipping only refunded one of those two payments, so we're down $12.95 and had to cancel her card to avoid this happening again.
Thanks, FreeShipping.com. Real classy.
Tip for consumers:
Steer clear. Why are businesses like this even allowed to exist?
Looks like this company is trying to take advantage of seniors... assuming that we are unable to read and/or understand our credit card billing. Hope the ethics of this company will be investigated. W and I Hunter

I'm a heavy shopper. I shop year round. I found this site being advertised on one of the sites I shopped from. I gave it a try. Within less than 2 weeks, my account got cancelled because I shopped too much in a short period of time during this holiday season. Although they did refund me the membership fee, I find it upsetting. I lost so much cash back through them, that I could have got with ebates. They have a cash back cap of $1000/year, no matter how much you spend; but it looks like they don't want you to reach that cap. They want to give you cash back as little as possible with a membership fee of $12.99/month, which is more expensive than amazon prime and costco, considering they are hardly a known company.
Hi Danny,
Please contact me directly at Help@Freeshipping.com and reference Customer Loyalty #G45. I will be happy to review the account for you.

Freeshipping.com gives you a $10 for every item you buy online through their site (with partnered retailers) and it's pretty awesome. For someone who orders a ton of stuff on eBay and through Wal Mart I can save a ton of cash.
A lot of people are complaining because they didn't read and see that the site has a subscription cost and only rebates $10 per each shipment. Don't be those people.
Great service
Hi John,

It would seem that this company is savvy on how to rip people off. Unaware, I was being charged a "membership fee" for their services. The customer service rep "John" basically laughed off my claims of their behavior telling me it was my fault for not reading their terms. It would seem that integrity and morals are hard to come by these days, and its just easier to steal peoples money, and blame them for it.

I never sign up for stupid stuff like this but my husband can't stand to pass up a deal so he asked me to fill out the information. After a long and tedious process, we waited about a month before we ever received our refund. It is too complicated to use every time you make a purchase because you have to figure out which sites participate, have copies of invoices, provide information, and wait a ridiculous amount of time. I just cancelled my membership today (after waiting forever because I keep forgetting about it because it is useless, so I hate to see how much money I've wasted). Please don't waste your time and money.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site.
Hi, I am sorry that you feel that way about our program. If you do shop online often our program can be a great benefit. When submitting your rebate we ask that you just forward your order confirmation and include the claim number in the subject line for processing. We also offer up to $1,000 for 10% cash back per membership year which requires no rebate be submitted. All you must do is shop through our links and it will appear in your savings center. We also offer $500 a year in free shipping rebates, $500 a year in return shipping rebates and $1,000 in price protection.
If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at mprocaccini@freeshipping.com or call me at 860.358.9198 x237.
Thanks!

I had over $60 in shipping charges for multiple ProFlowers orders. I got a $27 check. Do not expect them to refund the full amount of shipping as they convey on the site.
Given that it took over 30 days to get the check, I will have paid $12.97 two times. So it's a wash.
Overall, definitely not worth the hassle.
Hello,
Sorry for any confusion. Shipping rebates are paid up to $10. If you have any questions on the rebates that you submitted, please email me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com, I would be more than happy to look into this for you.
Thanks!

I called the Free shipping customer service before asking for the rebate of $10 on a perfume I had bought. I asked them how it works and why they're asking for my credit card info. The representative said I'm going to be charged $1.97 to get that rebate but he never mentioned that I'm supposed to be subscribed to their service and pay $12.99 monthly. It was not explained in the terms and conditions either.
I realized that after 3 months of payment. It's not definitely worth it!
Hi Aazz,
I would be more than happy to assist you with receiving the refund. Can you please reach out to me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com and reference case number - 316 so I can take care of that for you?
Thanks!
Monthly charges for 10 months without a single contact from the company. When I contacted them and asked for a supervisor, sure enough the woman said she was the supervisor and there was no one above her, but she had no idea how I became a "subscriber." She did however state that she could not refund my money.
*This is where it gets interesting... After I posted this now edited review, someone from the company responded offering to refund me the charges.
Hi Mike,
I'd be happy to look into this further for you. I can certainly cancel and refund your account, I'm just unable to locate it using the information given above. Can you please contact me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com so I can get some more personal information from you in order to locate your account?
Thanks!
Great premise, but the execution and customer service are deplorable. Don't bother with this site unless you are prepared to spend many, many hours tracking your orders, receipts, and their so-called cash backs and accounting. I wrote literally hundreds of emails--sent documentation over and over again--only to have many legitimate purchases declined for cash back as promised. 10% is a great cash back, but only IF you get paid. Don't waste your time.
Tip for consumers:
There is a monthly charge to use Freeshipping.com so they should not be used if you are not a big internet shopper. Every large purchase I made through this site was declined for a bogus, untrue reason even though I followed all the requirements to receive my rebate. So who's getting the money? Not me. Kind of makes you think.....
Products used:
This is a rebate / partial free shipping service for ordering products through their website from various participating retailers. It is not for a specific product.
I signed up thinking I would get a rebate of $10 in shipping I had just paid. Waiting to see if that shows up or not. But what was not made clear in the sign up process was they would be billing me $13 seven days later and then again every month while I was a member. Lucky for me American Express flagged the $13 charge as possible fraud. I canceled the membership.
So they are called FreeShipping.com, I have never seen a more blatant lie about what a company offers. They offer Free Shipping and rebates... If you pay a monthly subscription fee. ProFlowers got me with the following. You will get a rebate of your 12.99 shipping fee from freeshipping.com for no cost. Great!, I thought... I was wrong. You have to provide a credit card to sign up for the website... which was a red flag right off the bat. If you don't cancel your membership within 7 days, you will be charged a recurring monthly fee of $12.97... What about $12.97 a month is FREE? SCAM! If I could give 0 stars for being so shady, I would. Go Fork yourself "FREE"shipping.com...

This company got a monthly subscription of $13 from us without our knowledge by tacking their free shipping onto the end of a Kohl's online transaction we made. Fortunately it only cost us one month before we cancelled it because we were alerted by our bank on the charge. Had they not called us the $13/month would likely have continued for some time without our being aware of it. This company is guilty of gross deceptive practices.
I signed up for this right before Christmas. I missed out on the $10 rebate (which is what first got my attention, and how I ended up joining) because I didn't realize that you have to send them your receipt (no longer have it) and have to do it within 7 days. But, for everything else, it has been going well. It's actually a bit of work, because you have to fill out an online form and send them an email with each receipt in order to get the 10% and the free shipping back, but I have started getting checks back, and so far, I am ahead of the game with my rebates versus the monthly fee.
Hi Eileen, we're glad to hear that you are enjoying your membership! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Thanks!
We have received multiple charges from "IC freeshipping.com" which we never signed up for. We have no idea how these charges ever first started appearing on our credit card. They are for 14.97 each and were missed a few times by us since we use our credit cards for everything. This company is a total SCAM stay away from them!
They will cheat you. Their website doesn't work, it does not collect receipts and purchases the way it's supposed to and they will tell you that you have to collect all of your receipts yourself and then resubmit them. You can spend all day searching the web for your original receipts, copying them, and cropping, etc. them in photoshop in order to prove you've made your purchases. Even though they were made through the free shipping portal. It's happened to me a dozen times and I still have to go through this crap - they've missed 10 of my purchases in the last month
I repeat, don't waste your money on this company.
Tip for consumers:
don't use this service. they are wildly inaccurate and have extremely unhelpful customer service

It works for me. Does what it says... just remember you must use the credit cards registered with the site to qualify for the rebates. Other than that, they simplified the process so there is less hassle. Worth the monthly fee in my case.
My Dad is 83 years old and has been charged repeatedly $19 every month for the past four months. He does not use the internet and did not sign up for this service. We can contacted them twice to remove him from this service but they lie and say they will cancel but the monthly billing continues. Now he has to cancel his credit card. They prey on seniors and this company is fraud! We will be seeking legal action.
Glad to see i was not the only one surprised by a charge that did not seem valid.
Go figure, it is not a valid charge and I am now calling my bank to get this charge removed and to also report this fraudulent sounding site. Seeing from what others have said on the inter-webs, the site is far from legitimate in the way it goes about "gaining" subscribers, and i highly DON'T recommend this "service" to anyone looking into this site... by choice.
Edit: upon calling my bank, they were good enough to issue a refund for both instances this company charged my account.

I bought something on EBay that already had free shipping. There was no mention of membership fee only $10 rebate. It was so much hassle to sign up I did not even complete the membership & they found a way to bill me! I have an amex credit card linked up with ebay & somehow they managed to bill my Chase! I called & got a it cancelled and refunded & the rep told me I need to read terms & conditions more carefully. I fired back & stated they need to be more upfront with their fees! They don't even deserve the one star. It should be negative 10!
Hi Kevin, I apologize for the confusion you had regarding the membership fee. We do believe that it is clear that FreeShipping.com is a membership service. We list the charge 3 times prior to you being billed. It is first right next to the field where you enter your credit card number, again in the terms and conditions that you must agree to prior to signing up and lastly the membership fee can be found in the welcome email that you were sent upon signing up. If you were charged by us, please let me know and I would be happy to take care of this for you. You can email me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com. Thanks!
I was charged, yes, $12.97 for what? I never signed up for this service and from all the reviews I've read, over 300 people have unknowingly been charged this fee. When I called Freeshipping, the representative asked for my debit card number. WOW. I don't order online, so I don't know how this happened. I don't scam people, but your company must be raking it in and it is criminal. Unfortunately, I will have to call again to cancel something I never signed up for in the first place.
Hi Deborah, sorry for any confusion regarding your account. If we are unable to locate your account using your general information we may ask for the first 6 and the last 4 digits of the card that was charged, however we would never ask for a full card number. I would be more than happy to refund your account, can you please contact me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com?
Thanks!
As I was checking out of a website where I had just purchased an item, a button popup appeared asking if I wanted to get 10% or $10 (don't remember which) off shipping. I clicked the button because, yes, I wanted a discount on shipping. I was then asked to supply information including credit card no. Thinking it was part of the same site I had made my recent purchase. I did think it was odd they wanted the same info from the purchase site. I realized then that I made a mistake supplying this info but it was too late, they already had it. A few days later, I got an inquiry from my credit card company asking if a $13 charge was a legitimate purchase. I told them "no", explaining how I'd been tricked into signing up for this thinking I would get money off this shipping charge, and nothing else about the service was explained that I saw. My credit card company declined the payment and I sent an email requesting my account be cancelled.
Whatever you do, do not use freeshipping.com. I usually know better then this to fall into the trap of companies like this, but unfortunately had a weak moment one night and clicked the button for their service. Once I did I was being charged $12.97 to my charge card. Once I realized this, I immediately called them and had it stopped. They did reverse the charges without hesitation, but ironically I now have fraud on the very card that this was hitting. And interesting enough all my other charges are with reputable companies. So, my suspicion lies with freeshipping.com. Do not trust them with your information. They are nothing but a scam. So I guess they will stick it to you one way or another, either by $12.97 a month or rip you off by stealing your information and charging a bunch of charges on your credit card! Thank God my cc company realized it and put a stop to all the charges.
Hi Michele,
I'm so sorry to hear about the inconveniences you are having with your card. I can assure you all information on our site is encrypted with the best software in the industry. I subscribed because he sent me the return shipping. But they never told me I had to pay $ 12.97 per month; What I notice today in my account after several months that have been charging my card. It's not fair, they never gave me that information. I'm very upset.

Like many others here, I signed up for the trial period after making a purchase on Groupon, not realizing that there was a fee for the trial period. Apparently it's in the terms & conditions, but they make it very hard to notice and word the trial period like it's a free seven days before you're billed for membership. This seems dishonest and due to practices like this, I don't feel comfortable continuing to patronize this site and would warn others to read the fine print on everything.
