I have shopped Garnet Hill for more than 15 years. While at times some items have not met my quality standards, I feel it has not been any more frequent than any other online/catalog retailer. I have been very pleased with bed and bath items, which have exceeded my expectations. I normally purchase name-brand clothing from Garnet Hill. The Garnet Hill brand clothing I have purchased has been good overall, and I have always had success with the kids clothes. I rarely purchase items from Garnet Hill that are full retail and usually wait until sale or clearance. Overall I am pleased and will continue to shop this site.
Come on! Expect some delays in shipping due to Covid-this isn't Amazon. This is a high-end store with high-end merchandise. I ordered a cashmere sweater, received within 10 days and love it!
To most of the negative reviewers, order your merchandise from the low-quality, made in China merchandise sold on Amazon. Oh, that's right-Amazon is shutting some of those down...
My order did not arrive after 17 days with no tracking info. I emailed them and no response. When I spoke with someone on the phone they were rude, like immediately rude. The next person I spoke with said 'the package wasn't moving like it should" what does that mean? Yet tell days later they have "my return". I don't think it was ever sent and by not was back ordered. How they stay in business, I don't know. The woman told me I would get a refund in two to three days. Two days later I get an email saying they received my order and i will get a refund in three to five days. Really awful experience. For those prices I can't believe how bad they are at filling orders and customer services.
Customer Support for Garnet Hill is terrible. You ask a question they don't know or care. Sham? Don't know. Pillow cover? Duh! Just a waste of precious time
Some of these reviews on here are laughable. The quality of their clothing, percale etc... is slightly above average but you PAY for it too!$$$$$. $39 for a cotton T-shirt; $99 for a shift dress; $79 for pajamas! Sorry but there isn't anything unique about their products. Their cashmere isn't even high quality or the ply it should be for the prices they charge. Takes forever to get your order and the last two orders I did with them they screwed up! Really 23 days to receive a crummy T-shirt that isn't any better than a $10 one from Target! Sent the stuff back been waiting 47 days now for my money back. They are owned by the same company as Home Shopping Network. Beware and don't listen to the 5 star reviews they paid people to put on here. NOT true
I decided to order a couple of things from the Garnet Hill catalog that I'd been eyeing for some time. There was a good sale and it seemed like a good time. I was notified that shipping was slower due to the pandemic, but I was OK with that. My credit card was charged right away but after almost 3 weeks on, I hadn't received a shipping notification. Then I looked at my credit card account online and the charge for my order had been removed. So they apparently dropped my order with no notification to me. The items I ordered are still shown as available on their website, so I have no idea what happened. However, at least they credited my account so I will give them two stars rather than one.
When I phoned to place an order, their call center was so loud, I could hardly hear the person talking to me. Okay, it gets much worse. I ordered Eileen Fisher linen pillowcases in coral (on sale). I have pjs from Eileen Fisher and they are good and made in Ukraine. Imagine my surprise when the cases came from China, and the color became uneven after one wash. Kept them anyway, but wrote a review. They would not publish because I mentioned the sale. Tried again and mentioned China again plus the fading, and that review did not meet their standards. Don't even try to give them less than a positive review on their website because they will block you. I'm done with them -- unsubscribed and cancel the catalog. They used to be good.
Placed an order for a dress in xtra small. After I placed the order I checked on this and I am told it is an xtra large. No place online to cancel order. Customer service DONE@ 5PM Eastern time so had to call in morning. Get up 6:30 am to call & I am told oh but the order is in process! So what! Your stupid site f'd up yet another order so cancel it already. Have to wait now for an email from them because and get this, they have to "email" the warehouse. What a mess. NO customer service, no one trying to help me get the right size etc... Never again. This is the second time I have gone through this.
Very rude staff. I spoke with them on the phone about honoring a discount they ran soon after I bought an item. They all but accused me of lying when I called back with the exact dates I pulled from my email. The service rep also scolded me for calling twice... yikes!
As a long time customer I see a definite decline in service. Unless one pays for expedited service, items may not be acknowledged or received in week so of orer(s) being placed... long after the "expected" date of reciept.
So sad company service in decline; previous owner were much MORE responsive.
