I received damaged stud earrings from Gilt, via Eye Candy LA. This was due to Eye Candy improperly packaging them for shipment. If they had only boxed them!? Gilt handled my issue immediately sending a free return shipping label. They have great customer service
They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin
They sent me a non-polarized version of Ray-Bans when the price and picture clearly showed a Polarized version. The version they sent me was $41 less on their website; customer service claimed I was wrong with a screenshot of a different product. Offered a store credit, minus shipping, not a full refund. Situation may constitute false advertising and fraud. Waiting back from Gilt customer service to respond fully to the situation; hopefully will be able to positively update this review if and when they decide to fully rectify the problem.

I've made purchases from Gilt for 7 years without a hiccup. Today, they delivered merchandise to an old address after sending to our current address for 5 years. IT migrated information without checking it. But, instead of the rep apologizing and offering to refund or expedite a delivery, I've been issued a trouble ticket and told a refund will be issued at some in the future. It didn't feel like Gilt. A bit of research shows it was sold to Rue La. Gilt is gone.

This is my first time using Gilt and I purchased a pair Christian Louboutin So Kate heels and paid a total of $663 including tax and delivery. Retail price is $775. However, upon receipt I noticed that the dust bag material and color is off and on top of that the wording was peeling off! Even the actual shoe box looked fake with made-up product description stickers, literally nothing like the genuine product! Then I noticed the glue at the bottom of the shoe and the fake, low quality interior of the shoe. It is blatant that these shoes are a knock-off version that Gilt are trying to sell for only $100 off the retail price. I actually took them into a Louboutin store and they confirmed that these shoes do not appear to be genuine. Save your money, they're even trying to charge me $15 to return their fake product.

I have ordered 2 pairs of shoes for my toddler and both were a whole size too small. According to the website the shoes are based on European sizes but that is far from the truth. I requested a refund and they told me that I would not be refunded my shipping and I would be charged a restocking fee. That defeats the purpose of getting a deal. I am 100% done with Gilt. They should get some customer service tips from Zappos.

I love purchasing from this site. The men's collection is always up to date and with brands that men want to buy! The only draw back is the return policy. Even if the item is final sale, if you've been an avid customer they're more than happy to make exceptions. :)

I have spent thousands, and thousands of dollars with gilt.com! I have had several issues. This was the worst! I had ordered linen sheets, they were very available when I ordered them! Then LATER I get a email that they are don't have any left! Someone was supposed to contact me from higher up! Nothing! Bad, Bad Customer Service! They could care less! Stay Away!

This company is total scam, we returned our item as instructed, received an email of item recieved by the warehouse but Gilt never posted a refund in our credit card. Contacted their customer service several times and finally someone advised to dispute it with our credit card since they never received the item even though we do have an email from them confirming the opposite.

I am very disappointed with Gilt. They used to have decent prices, but now I notice that their prices are often higher than Amazon for the same item. However, the worst part is their shipping. It takes FOREVER (up to and beyond a month) to receive most merchandise from Gilt, and yet they charge you top dollar for shipping. I won't buy anything at this site again.

I've been a Gilt member for 2 years and love this website. They have the best deals on quality products, and have most professional and courteous customer service. They also have excellent turn around time on shipping and I usually get my items within 2-3 business days probably because their warehouse is located in NY. This is by far the best online shopping website in all aspects and I would strongly recommend this website in heartbeat.

Purchased over $150.00 of Oribe hair products. There were smudges all over the bottles and the boxes were clearly old. Gilt did not specify that the order would be fulfilled by an independent seller. I was very surprised to receive a package from an individual and not Gilt. This is just the most recent of many bad experiences. A far cry from when Gilt was first introduced.

If possible, spend a few minutes comparison shopping using Google or something similar. I've found lower prices on about 40% of the products sold on this site. I had a recent unsatisfactory experience where I was thinking about a $350 jewelry purchase. I took a screenshot of the item when I first saw it. I decided to buy it, went to the site to find the price had gone up by $50. After 2 requests for an explanation of the price increase, I was told it was because there were only a few left. That's a nonsensical, lazy response. I'm taking a break from Gilt. It may be permanent.

I have ordered two flatware sets from GILT. Received them after two (!) weeks of waiting. Both of them were not what I have ordered. Called customer support. They told that there is no exchange. So if I still want it I need to order it since they are in stock. So I sent these wrong sets back and reordered again. Guess what - two weeks later got these two wrong sets I sent back! I'm out of money and fighting to get my refund back. On the website policy it stated "refund under 72 hours", actually it is one week and half.

Compared to all the other flash sites, Gilt (and MyHabit) are the best ones, I have since stopped ordering from all other sites due to the amount of crap they sell. Everything I've ordered from Gilt has been great quality as long you stick with the better known brands. I only had a problem once with a mirror that arrived broken and they promptly issued a return label free of charge and received a refund.

I really like this site, they usually have such gorgeous things... and they have top notch delivery times, my only issue with them is the number of emails I get every day... they have like 4 or 5 sister companies... Other than that, and of course I wish their discounts were higher :)

So annoying! They guaranteed a gift by Christmas and they also guarantee a 24 response policy to customer service emails. When I placed an order a week and a half before Christmas, I did so expecting to have no issues with the delivery, given it was guaranteed by 12/24. However the package did not arrive by 12/24, which I knew would happen when on 12/20 the tracking information said it would arrive by 12/27. I contacted Gilt, and after 48 hours still didn't hear from them, so had to contact them again. And they finally responded saying no, it should get there by 12/24.12/24 came and went with no package delivery, so I contacted Gilt again. They agreed to refund my nominal shipping fee but never once apologized or offered any explanation as to why I didn't receive my package as promised. Don't use Gilt! Their deals are not worth the tremendous headache and poor customer service.

Gilt is a great business from which to order. When there's a problem, they resolve it. Customer service is readily available, responsive and fast. I'm happy to spend money with Gilt and recommend them to friends and family. The exact opposite can be said of Bluefly. The difference between the two companies is stark. Yay for Gilt. They are a shining example of ecommerce done right.

Orders are often sent with incorrect sizes. Customer service refuses to correct the order. They will acknowledge the error they made but won't rectify it because they don't have the correct size in stock! They just send what they have even when it's wrong.

Purchased a pair of dress shoes that the leather peeled after being worn two times. I do not wear these very often so I didn't realize the defect in their time period. The customer service was terrible and did nothing to remedy the situation of defective shoes. I will not be purchasing from them again. I understand that there can be issues with products from time to time but there is no excuse for poor customer service and the customer baring the cost in these situations.

I have not received my product yet, so I can't speak to the quality of the merchandise, but based on these reviews I am hoping my order is the exception. I will say this: when one spends a certain dollar amount on an item from a vendor, one expects to receive the item in an expedient manner. Gilt clearly does not know or care about their customers as they have taken the money from my account, but are taking their sweet time getting my merchandise to me. I have received ebay orders from private sellers that have shipped and delivered faster than my "high-end purchase" from Gilt. Pathetic. Just for reference, it's going on the second week since I have ordered, paid, and not yet received that which I have paid for. Terrible Customer Service and I will not be spending money with this company again.

I did not take advantage of a promotional email while checking out. I immediately contacted Gilt's Customer Service, once I noticed that I had not used my coupon code. Rebecca, the specialist, and the entire Gilt Customer Service team was more than exceptional in making sure my 30% was refunded to my account and communicating with me every step of the way. Awesome!

I will never again make a purchase on gilt again. They advertise that if an existing member invites you to the website and you will get $25 deducted from you first purchase. I typed in all my credit card info for my first purchase and before submit the $25 off was applied, but after I clicked submit the OFFER WAS GONE. On the confirmation email it also showed that I was paying the full price. What is this? Deceiving consumers? False marketing ads?

There was a problem with my bed that I ordered through Gilt. Parts were missing and the Gilt reps followed up on my requests for getting it fixed promptly. I got the parts I needed and some reimbursement amount for my trouble. I appreciate how dedicated they are to their customers. Gilt is my favorite online place to shop and for good reason. They have high quality goods and diverse brands to choose from.
