This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.
They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin
The problem I had was quite minor and I really didn't expect anything to come of reporting it as I was still quite pleased with my purchase. I just wanted them to know so maybe they could correct it for the future. First, I was really surprised at how quickly Gilt responded to my email, and how understanding they were of the problem. The customer service rep was great, and solved my issue in such a short amount of time, something that I did not expect. I would never hesitate to purchase from Gilt in the future.
Purchased desk for more than $500 3 months ago. The drawer (particle board) literally fell apart, crumbled. It cannot be repaired by nails or even glue because it was not where the drawer seats together. Contacted cust svc with explanation and pic. They said no returns. How would I return the desk? I asked for service for the customer where service is needed. I wrote back and asked how they would feel if it were them? I would expect a new drawer, a new desk, or my money back. This is not a disposable item - it is a desk! Their response was the same no returns, sorry. They do not back what they sell and apparently do not care for their buyers at all! Insult to injury, I just yesterday took delivery of $80 plate of glass to protect the surface of the desk! I am literally in tears, I don't have that kind of money to waste!

I purchased a hair coupon over a month ago and still have not received the barcode in order to get the discount. I asked for a complete refund since the salon ended up charging me full price since Gilt could not do their basic job and email me the barcode. No one has responded to me in 10 days for my refund request. I will not be purchasing from Gilt ever again.
I bought a rug from this site that had "$600.00" as the slashed price on it and I purchased it for $250. This rug was NOT a $600 rug. It's hilarious the kind of false advertising that these websites are allowed to do. The rug sheds so much it's almost not worth it. I have thought about just throwing it out. Also, I have discovered that the slashed out prices on Gilt.com are extremely false and made up. Where do they get them? A simple search online will give you the same product for their "cheaper" version as the actual price. The site might be ok for quick fashion grabs but anything more valuable? Fuggettaboutit.
I bought a Forte Cashmere half zip pullover. Godd quality but it is not acceptable to have a slash-through price of more than 350 Euro for a product manufactured in China, despite then it is shown as discounted to around 130! I suggest Gilt should add "Made in..." to the products.
I ordered some facial creams from D24K and they came to me not only open but also used! There was literally finger marks all over the canisters with dirt inside as well from someone's dirty hands. I bought over $200 worth of creams. I was appalled. I emailed customer service and they have asked me to provide "proof" so I sent them photos. They ended up refunding me. I will however stay far away from Gilt in the future.
My $400 handbag broke after a few months. I was told that it wasn't faulty at time of purchase so too bad. Sorry, but if something breaks within it's expected 'lifetime' then it's faulty
I've purchased cheap $50 bags that lasted longer. I was disgusted and disappointed at their too bad approach to this.
I started shopping from gilt in 2014. I found a lot of things I loved and ever had a problem with anything I ordered.
I bought everything from professional blow dryers to great clothes. I do spend more Money when I shop on line and find myself doing impulse buying so I try to love what I do purchase.
It's OK, if you like what you ordered. It's the PITS if you have to return or WORSE if there is something wrong with your order. I ordered 2 prints, in the copy it described frames. In the photo's it showed frames. The prints came in a tube. After 5 emails, a supervisor did offer a credit on the amount and a store credit. Yet another email to get them to credit my account. It's a FLASH Sales website, Slam, Bam Thank you-Ma'm. Customer services is really slow to respond, and don't expect much when they do. Enjoy your store credits!
I bought something on gilt years ago. Don't even remember what but I returned it then for a credit. I am and have always been a Canadian resident. Apparently my credit for that return can only be used to buy something shipping to the USA. Obviously I didn't know this. I kept getting emails from gilt to "spend your credit" so I went to the site and found something to buy to use the credit but when I was checking out, the credit didn't show. So I reached out to customer service who told me to complete the transaction and "rest assured your credit will be applied". It was not and now customer service is telling me (for the first time) that it can only be used for something shipping to Canada. So now I've given them even more money and still have an outstanding useless credit with them, and my complaints fall on deaf ears.
I contacted customer service by email and no longer than 1/2 hour later, I had a response and the matter had been addressed and fairly rectified. The customer service agent who assisted me was named Andrew and he does an amazing job. Thanks so much for a great experience!
I am surprised by the bad reviews on GILT because I have had good experiences so far. But, then again, I only bought from them twice as well as my boyfriend ordered items on there for me and were all clothing. I can't say anything about the customer service because I never felt the need to reach them. Each order has given me the correct items in good condition as well as been delivered on the time they predicted to me on regular shipping. For some reason, I don't think I would order anything other than clothes from GILT.
I have been a very good customer of gilt for years and their customer service has steadily gotten worse. I purchased a luxury mui mui bag for $700.00 on the model the bag hung mid torso but actual bag would not fit under my arm. Took many pictures and proved it was mis represented and still could not return it. I'm so disappointed I have deleted my gilt account and will no longer buy from them

Gilt sold me three pairs of fake Celine sunglasses. I've work Celine glasses for years, so it was very obvious to me they were fake. When I emailed their Customer Service Department, they didn't even deny it. They offered to issue me a refund if I mailed the sunglasses back to them, which took months. I had to contact them multiple times for that refund. Buyers beware! Do not purchase designer goods from this site!
Never, ever, ever buy a vintage watch or anything of significant value from Gilt. We bought a vintage Breitling watch knowing that there was to be no return and a 1 year warranty. Upon receipt of the watch, however, it did not work at all. Though we thought it would be an easy process to return and receive a refund given the fact that it never worked, we were sorely mistaken. They responded that, at this price point, we do not take returns. You will have to go through the warranty process." We were awestruck by this response, initiated a dispute with our credit card company and continued to contact Gilt to see if we could find ANYONE with their head screwed on straight. Finally, after 3 weeks and informing them that they had committed fraud under the NY consumer fraud act, they finally decided to issue us a return slip as a result of their 3-5 day decision panel...
Dishonest company. They mislead the public on the products they sell and advertised wrong product details on the website. Why do you need to pay shipping to them if you can buy at Nordstrom, Macy's, Saks off 5th without paying shipping charges.
Take more than 2 wks to get credit back for returns. Will never buy from them again.
I have been trying to contact customer service at Gilt. Wrote email, phone call, and attempted to do a Chat. I receive no response what so ever. I needed to cancel an order because of a bad product review, now I guess I am stuck with the product. Beware if you are placing an order, you may not receive any customer service should you have a problem.
I love shopping on Gilt. Great and reliable service. The whole experience is seamless - right from browsing to when the order arrives. The app is very well designed, is intuitive, easy to use. It's a delight. It's so easy to shop on Gilt that I actually have to keep a check on myself!
Love the way in which the merchandise is curated and the collections are just great. Would like to see a more steady stream of regular brands.

I just received a pair of So Kate's and when I was ordering it they did not label it final sale. I noticed it was final sale when I received the item. I emailed and been calling no answer. I just want to exchange the size. All they need is a few good lawsuits to shut their fraud business down. Can not be dishonest with your customers. I read all the bad reviews and decided to try it anyways received the shoes but now I can't get in contact with anybody. It's a shame.
I have purchased 2 pairs of shoes from Gilt in the past 6 months and had no issues whatsoever. Delivery timeframes were a bit long but were clearly stated at checkout. I check their listings daily and have noticed that selection of companies/items/sizes seems to be declining. I have no opinion on their customer service department as I have not needed to contact them.
Why do I need to sign in every time I attempt to access this site only to find out that their prices are always higher than all other sites. They make it a effort to even review what they are selling

Horrible customer service! They are extremely rude over the phone! One time I received a package from Gilt, and the contents of the package were destroyed because they were not properly packed! I called Gilt, and they promised me a credit – never received it. Items that they sell never fit well – they look completely different on pictures. The only acceptable item that I purchased from Gilt was a male's sport jacket.
Excellent Service! I made a mistake and pressed "submit order": $5000 worth of furniture that i absolutely could not afford! When i called in to cancel my horrible mistake, Rachel did everything she could, cancelling each item herself, and made sure to send me cancellation confirmation email. I couldn't thank her enough!
Before you shop at Gilt, there are few things you must know. Shipping is not free, and neither are returns. There is a $ 30 fee if you want unlimited free shipping for the whole year but then again if you return you will have to pay $ 9 per return. If you are multiple items and if its being shipped by multiple suppliers, then it will be shipped separately and returned separately as well, and each return will cost you 9 bucks. So, when they say this item is returnable don't get fooled, U will be paying for the return. Above all they make it very hard on their website to return any items, U will experience multiple times there will be error either with the website or time out.
3 weeks after I placed my order I was told I just wouldn't get it. This is unacceptable. Also my room mate on the same day was sent half of a 2 piece bathing suit and told the other half was not able to be fulfilled. What does one do with half a bikini? And don't say mix and match because thats just not going to work... Never using Gilt.com again...
