This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.
They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin
I wrote to Gilt regarding and non-returnable item that was not made from the material listed on the site. The agent quickly responded, within the hour and refunded me. I appreciated the timely response and accommodating service. All in all is was very seamless return.

Some good deals, some duds. I've bought a few things I was happy with at a good price. More than once though I've had to fight with them to get a credit or refund when a Final Sale item was not as described...descriptions are often terrible.
I purchased a "Vintage" designer handbag that was described as "excellent condition, no visible signs of wear". It took me one minute to discover the cracked leather and poor condition of the bag. Gilt was very rude and abusive and refused to accept the bag back.

I purches one lipstick, when was free shipping. After the change me for 9.99$ for shipping. I try to contact customer service right away I placed the Oder.The answer, what they give me: the Oder in process and they not offer anything. Its was my first experience with Chanel lipstick. I m totally not recommend to any one buy from this company. Plus it's little high prices for everything.
I first bought a sun umbrella that was listed at $300 and with some discount something I got a good deal. I thought. It was so bad! It didn't have a strap to tie it down when you are not using it. But it is so heavy I didn't think it was worth returning.
I now bought a bath cabinet and I just put it together. It is again under expectation quality. I can't even get the screws to tighten and the door is hanging on its hinges...
Don't know what to do since I put it together! Awful!

I've ordered a few clothing items home items from this site. Fast shipping and excellent customer service. I had to call in because I had a few questions about my shopping cart. Top notch service and they gave me a 15% off discount for my current order because of my "hassle". Can I say, I was not really hassled... just had questions.
The website is attractive and easy to navigate. I've received a few baby items and I'm just impressed with the quality. I just ordered a McLaren techno buggy as my back-up strolled for $150+ off what I would have spent elsewhere. I also ordered a few maternity items and organic crib bedding. Previously I bought a hand-knotted area rug. $5000 pricetag was actually a steal... Its beautiful and fits well in to the decor of my Tudor's decor.
This is a great website and I'm happy I found it!
Their customer service is the WORST! Even when they have made multiple mistakes (i. E., sending me the wrong order, losing my correct order, and then replacing my wrong order with another wrong order), the best they can do is offer free shipping. Give me a break! I will never use them again.
While finalising my payment, gilt website flashes that there was a problem with the account and order may not be processed, so I resend the order and this time no problem. When the order came, I got two of everything, as it turned out the first payment was processed. Gilt is giving me a hard time with regards to return and refund because, it's the final sale-but the fact is I did not placed two orders, just the first one where I was advised it did not get processed; all they offered me is a $10 discount on my next order-abandon Gilt not, worth it.

Not impressed with my first (and last order). Ordered a dress for a father-daughter dance and was told it would arrive by 11/3. Didn't arrive for 4 more days and ended up missing the dance all together. It was originally ordered on 10/3. Not worth waiting over a month for and the return policy is the worst with store credit only.

Don't order from this group if you have a deadline for receipt.
I ordered perfume and received a shipping box. I opened it and it was empty. Only the shipping invoice inside. I emailed and then called Gilt. When I did get someone, and stated that I just wanted a refund, she said "hold-on" and then hung up. I was unable to get anyone else on the phone! Total scam. I normally look at reviews and I didn't with this seller!

I have been a customer of Gilt for years and have purchased many online designer items from them in the past but have noticed a drastic decline in the quality of the merchandise on this site. I just this morning received two items from them, that were not what was advertised on the site and really I wouldn't even give them away. Terrible material and incorrect size. I shopped with" Gilt" monthly and am considered a premier account holder. I loved everything about the site, including the customer service. Today however was the last straw and the items were so defective that I honestly felt taken advantage of. I also notice on the returns slip that the order number is faded out and is hardly legible. Don't understand the rationale here at all. A good business model that is being run into the ground.

It is relatively easy to return items and I have got excellent value for money in the past so if you know the designer and its a good price, then its probably worth it as you can return the item if you are dissatisfied .
It was unclear that my items were unable to be returned with a refund. When I purchased the item, a note came up informing me that my item is able to be returned. I assumed this meant I could get the money back that I paid for the item. This was an incorrect assumption. You can only get your money back if you paid over $199 for the item and this is at a fee. This is pretty unreasonable that I could ONLY get "gilt credit". After speaking with a customer service rep, I was able to return the item once and then informed of the correct policy. Now that I understand, I do not plan on shopping with Gilt again.
Purchased Balenciaga City bag from Gilt with $1469. They present the bags as final sale and no returns. But the bag doesn't have all necessary tags with it, especially the brand tag indicating it is authentic and new and the one showing the year when the bag was made. Contact the customer service. They kept telling me the description doesn't say the tags come along with the bag and they list it as nonreturnable so that I can not return it. What? A new and authentic bag doesn't have tags? It is their responsibility that they present this fact for this product before the consumer decide to buy it! Already filed the consumer complaints. If you want to reduce trouble in the future, never buy luxury products from them. You will be disappointed when you receive your purchase and can not get problems solved just because the item is listed as final sale and nonreturnable.

I am so impressed with the Customer Service at Gilt. I recently bought a leather arm chair from them. The chair arrived with damage to the leather and even though it was a non-returnable, they refunded my money. The service department responded within 24 hours and refunded my account the same day. Gilt was professional, courteous and expedient. There were no hassles!
Very poor customer service! As a potential first time customer, I received a 50% coupon which was valid from March 12 - 15,2013. During this time I had trouble resetting my password. There was something wrong with the site and the links that were sent did not work. Even contacted customer service and the link they sent did not work. Finally after the offer expired I received an e-mail with a link that worked and was able to change the password. I reached out to customer service again and they said that there is a certain time limit on when you have to access the link. Actually as soon as I received the e-mail I clicked on the link. They also stated that the promotion was only valid during the dates mentioned above and there was nothing that they can do. I guess they don't want first time customer. Not a very pleasant experience.
They have nice merchandises however, they prices are much higher than in regular stores or from other online sellers.
Their return policy is very bad. Groupon has much better one and they work with you if you have a problem. I cold them about my difficulties I have experienced with making appointment to a doctor I have voucher for. They said I should work with the doctor's office to get appointment. :) They did not want to give me refund. Finally they call the doctor office and fixed the problem. I will never buy a voucher from them again. I do not want have problems and deal with their unfriendly policy.
I ordered a dress. 5 days after it was supposed to arrive it had not even shipped. I called and asked for information and no one could help me giving me information. I requested a change of address since I was moving and they proceeded to cancel my order. When I told them I did not want to cancel I just wanted to know an estimated shipping date they told me that it was not their problem and said "the dress is no longer in stock", and would not let me order again. I just wanted information on the shipping of a dress THEY had been late on and they were RUDE, completely unhelpful and unprofessional.

This is my first ever posted review. I normally don't like to leave negative comments but let me share. I ordered a silk cami to Canada on an international order. I ordered a large and they sent me a small. When I called and emailed Gilt they said there was NOTHING they could do because they don't return international orders. So They made a mistake on their end and I had to pay the price. Seems like robbery to me. Very upset and feel scammed. Be careful ordering Internationally. I will never be ordering from them again and will be spreading the word of the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Andrew was very professional and responded in a timely manner. Dealing with him through email has been a pleasant experience. Not only was he easy to work with, he was able to resolve my issue right away.
I honestly don't remember ever dealing with an "brand name" company that was so unfair and such a bunch of scumbags with such poor customer service.
I had a bunch of experiences with them and it was nothing but negative, never good.
Their Gilt city discount things that you buy are like living social or groupon. Except they expire after like a month and then they only give you the amount that you paid credit at the customer for five years. The problem is When you go to the place they have no idea what you're talking about.
I went on a date and I quietly went to the waitress and I told them about it. She said she has no idea what I'm talking about and when I spoke to the manager he would not honor it And embarrassed me in front of my day Who never spoke to me again
I've called them on multiple occasions for messed up things like this and they basically said sorry and there's nothing we can do Real scumbagsTHIEVES!
I paid $33.95 for a next day delivery because I was in a hurry to get what I had purchased. When I checked my estimated delivery date/time, it was given a week later. I called up customer service and they informed that nothing could be done. I would not have paid for a next day delivery if I knew the delivery would be a week later, when I could have just gone with the regular shipping method to get it at the same time.
There's always a problem with this site. Either it takes one month to ship your product, or the sizes are not standard and you cannot exchange. Twice I got a bra on my size and it was either too small or too large and they will not exchange it. They have absolutely terrible costumer service and when I had to buy the same bra a size bigger they didn't even offer me free shipping. Absolutely awful

In terms of the shipping length, it is very rare for products to take more than a few days to ship. If merchandise does take a little longer, we attempt to make our members aware by providing the estimated delivery time on the sales page of the merchandise and at checkout.

I ordered a lamp (Jonathan Y Gemma 8.25in Acrylic Metal LED Table Lamp) listed for $54.99, supposedly originally
$160.00 (Total "Saved:" $105.01). The product is a cheap Chinese-made lamp. It is a final sale so I cannot return it. When I searched for it elsewhere (sadly, after purchase) I found it at Target for $36 and elsewhere for around $40. Huge price rip-off. No more shopping at Gilt for me!
I had partial refund because a glass of wine is cracked that I purchased from Gilt.com.
I felt some nervous Item is damaged I purchased.
But support center blow up my worrying about that.
