This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.
They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin
I have bought numerous stuff from gilt. I was a big fan until today I met my worse match. I had bought pkolino little reader chair for my toddler. I received a damaged chair cover. I asked if they could replace chair cover with a new one. They said they cant replace but said they will credit $5 to my gilt account for the cost of the zipper. The customer service went upon saying me to find a seamstress and buy the zipper and it will be fixed. I am not happy with customer service who went upon telling me its a fixable matter and ordering me to do something that was not my fault. I have toddler so I typically dont have time to go to a store and fix a problem thats why I shop online. If it was amazon they will fix the problem right away but gilt service is incomparable with amazon. I will definitely not shop in gilt anymore. Buyers please be aware of non returnable items.
Bought prada saffiano cuir double bag, which was confirmed to be counterfeit by professional authenticating company (Authenticate4u). After taking longer than the promised 7 day period, gilt refused to accept a return. Contemplating legal action.
Ordered a cashmere sweater. They charged my card, no tracking number, no sweater. They claim it is a Borderfree. I am in Canada and Neiman Marcus, Saks an Nordstroms all use it without problems. Online chat yielded no results. No one at the Irish cl center ever flows up or calls or writes back. I called the New York "head office" was not lowed to speak to an executive. Got put into a nameless voicema, allegey customer service manager, no call back. I am having the charge taken off my Visa, writing this post and I will see if I can press Internet fraud charges. With all these negative reviews I will also try to get their Visa privileges withdrawn. I urge all of you to join me.
I was one of their clients, but after what happened, I'll never purchase anything by them. Now my bank is trying to return my money to me.

Don't shop at Gilt! The worst customer service ever. I've perchased a face cream, the package came open and empty. And it wasn't post office fault, the cream was packed in plain envelope that usually small flat things shipped. You can see the company trying to save money on shipping although I paid for shipping. After contacting Gilt they promised me an immediate refund. Almost a month later still no refund, I spent two days trying convince them that I am not a thief and didnt receive money back. No result, and I spent about $500 that month at their company. I think they don't know what is customer service is.
Besides, I am a fashion designer by occupation and can tell you that the quality of their clothes is low, the original prices they put on site are extremely exegerated. I only bought there merchandise I am familiar with.
Recently purchased a fairly expensive pair of Prada shoes. They arrived with big scratches up one side of the shoe. Shoes were Royal Blue... very difficult to photograph.
GILT would not accept the return. I had to provide photographic evidence..."to their satisfaction" for them to accept them as a return.
The shoes did not photograph well. After several discussions with customer service and photographs they said they would not return the them!
They sent them to me with the scratches but yet the ownness was on me to prove they were damaged!? HUH?

I the skilled buyer. Also met different bad stories buying the goods worldwide. But Gilt a even me surprise-has sent to me the present pig! I have made the order for 600 doll-it there were 6 steams, footwear "Alberta Ferreti" - a discount of 80 %! But as I have been surprised when its receive-from 6 steams of 2 steams of other color, and one steam "killed" - appearance has been completely spoiled, Metal parts had oxidation traces! This footwear wouldn't want to dress and the homeless! As from the moment of purchase has passed more than 21 days, there is no possibility to make return, and I live in Russia-for me it is equivalent to throw out footwear in a window. I want all to warn-be are careful-you can to deceive! In America many fine shops with good service-not allow to send you the Pig! If who that will become interested th I will send a photo of that pair footwear! I don't do advertizing by another-is simple I do not love when the shop behaves piggishly!

I can't believe I managed to literaty grab it as sometimes it feels like the items appear as "selled" before they become available. The product that I bought (2 Abbyson Chaise Louges) was significantly less expensive than both Amazon and Overstock. The Product was shipped earlier than the original estimate. Prior to the product being shipped there was a price drop and I called to ask about a price protection adjustment which was given to me quickly and without hassle. Their customer service is in Ireland and they have lovely accents are are very pleasant.
I read good reviews before I ordered a higher priced item and then after I placed my non-returnable order all I read were terrible reviews! I started to panic that it had been almost a week and I still hadn't received a shipping confirmation (it's the 15th and it was supposed to be delivered on the 17th) I live chatted my concern and the man reassured my my order was being ready to ship. I get home 30 minutes later and the item is sitting on my porch and I have an email for shipping. So they need to work on that aspect but I'm very happy my item showed up and it's exactly what I thought I was getting!

I purchased a handbag $900+tax =$974 on Saturday and paid gilt gift card. On sunday they have promotion for $200 for my handbag and i call the customer service complain about that and they cr back to my account for discount on next time is$200 not included tax. Because i paid tax fot $900. But it's ok to when i lost $16 for the sale tax... the reason is do BAD, BAD BAD About Gilt that they wont refund to my gift card, but they put $200 on my next purchase discount... because gift isy money...
They have steep discounts on major brand names and this is my new favorite site as the older ones like blue fly just don't often carry this level of discounts on designer clothing and jewelry. The one bad thing about this site is the return policy. You CANNOT RETURN ANYTHING. You can get store credit for clothing that is returned, but you can't get your money back. I bought a Gucci outfit and it didn't fit, so I had to wait to return it, and then wait even longer for them to issue me store credit... and THEN I had to wait to find something I liked more. Still I had to pay shipping and handling on the new items as well. In the end, the discounts you get on the clothing and the selection is worth this hassle, but I wish they would give you money back for returns.
Very disappointing customer service and return policy experience.
I bought my husband a Frederique Constant watch and it was malfunctioning upon receiving it. The needles stopped moving periodically - what use is a watch if it cant tell you the time? The back plate also kept falling off... I brought it to a high end jeweler who told me the battery was empty (in the first few weeks?) and that the watch parts were dirty because the back hadn't been secured properly which was causing the dust to enter and the watch to not work properly.
Within 5 months it was useless and one of the time needles FELL OFF and was floating around on the face of the watch!
Gilt wouldn't let me return it. I'm going to keep trying though.
I wont be purchasing another watch from this site.

Where do I start! This website is a total scam. They took one picture of the watch and said that it was a man's watch. The picture wasn't even taken from their website they probably got it off of Google images. I finally received the watch that by the way, took FOREVER! And noticed that the band was defective. I tried it on anyway and it didn't fit my wrist! When I called to complain they said "well, it's a unisex watch, it's for men and women".
The customer service was terrible. I was treated very disrespectfully. I wanted to return the watch and they wouldn't take it back. I even had to go as far as to complain with the BBB (better business bureau). So now I'm stuck with a $3,200.00 watch that has a broken wrist band and doesn't even fit me!
They must ship via 'carrier pidgeon'. I EVERYTIME I order from this site, it takes at least 2-3 days for an item to leave the warehouse. Warehouse is located in KY... I live in IL. It to 10 days for a SCARF to be delivered. I wouldn't have a such a problem if I wasn't forced to pay $8 to ship.
I ordered a pair of boots two days ago, and they still have shipped out yet.
A couple of times I was told they were waiting on the items to arrive from the vendor so they could ship them out. Why put item on sale that you don't have in stock?

My experiences with the site were great after it launched. The buzz was high, the products were top-end, and the deals were really mindblowing.
Nowadays, the buzz has wornoff, the products are getting repetitive, and the deals are just adequate. Nothing unexpected, but considering the return policy (or lack of), I'm not confident that the site is worth your time.
So I ordered some dishes at the price of 215 dollars from GILT with afterpay and when I go look at the receipt they have the wrong shipping address. So mind you now gilt says they are unable to change the shipping address because of afterpay and they have a third party involved that they will try to cancell my order. Well if you can accept my money why can't you change the shipping address? I've never heard of a place where they are just willing to send your merchandise to a whole nother city. I'm so frustrated I will never use this company again!and I better get my money back!

I have always gotten good products from Gilt. I mostly get products for my home. Towels and bed cover sets are well worth the money. I recommend this web site
I bought earrings and veja shoes - first off i didnt received my package for veja shoes they shipped via ontrac this shipping company is not reliable - then i called customer service via gilt they said she couldn't help me my package was shipped and no managers on duty. 2nd the earrings the claps doesn't work so I can't put on my ears, this company are scamming people to buy fake thing

I purchase a double G Mormont Gucci belt and Gucci sunglasses. The belt was a fake and the sunglasses weren't authentic. Disappointed because prior to making my purchase I researched the website. I returned the items the same day.
I bought Burberry handbags from their site. There was a problem with one of the bags, which Gilt couldn't correct. When I contacted Burberry about the problem I was informed that Gilt wasn't an authorized retailer. They called into question whether in fact it was an authentic
Burberry bag. I took them to a Burberry store in my area and was informed that they were fakes. I again contacted gilt with this information. They refused to acknowledge these were fakes and refused to return them. A warning to anyone who decides to buy on this site. Dont! They will not accept returns and the goods might not be what is advertisized
When they send you emails offering a discount off they should honor them-instead customer service said differently-she then asked me to forward email but I've never heard back
