This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.
They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin
My last two orders were a disaster & I purchased some earrings that I had to question the value when they arrived broken... I spent sometime fixing them myself (questioning why the heck they are so expensive) and figured it was a one time issue with Gilt. I than ordered a one shoulder white dress and got the ugliest orange, pink and white strapped dress, with two shoulder straps... def. Not what I ordered. Because it was gilts fault they "pay" for return shipping... hahah what a joke! I drop it off at the post office, just a few states away and they tell me it's going to take 14 days (THAT'S BULL$#*! GILT), if I have a return with Rue LALA or Ideeli I don't have to wait that long;-) My return started on 05/16 AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK! I also contacted Customer service today because I noticed they got my dress a few days ago, restocked it, and I haven't gotten my refund yet! They I have yet to get an answer or any help as to why I haven't gotten my refund yet.
I would definitely echo the remarks made by others regarding the return policy of this company. I bought 2 chairs in December that were slated to arrive by Christmas. They didn't arrive, which I understood because it was the holidays and that's a very busy time. I called at least 3 times to find out the status of the shipment, but customer service didn't seem to know the cause of the delay. They certainly didn't volunteer that information. They were polite but I thought it was weird that they didn't have any specifics on my order. I cut them some slack about that and they did finally ship the chairs by early January but I kid you not - those chairs looked like "play furniture" for a child. The quality was lacking and one of the legs would not fasten. Every time I sat in it - which wasn't much - I questioned that it could hold my weight and I'm not a big person! The chairs were quite weak because when you sit on them, you feel the chair "give" a little - like the legs will come out from under it. So I called them immediately to take back the chairs. It was then that they pointed out the "no return" policy on furniture. I really wish someone would have pointed it out when I placed the order. I told them I would be willing to negotiate a solution that would benefit both myself and them but they were not willing to listen. I advise anyone to READ THE RETURN POLICY and ANY REVIEWS before purchasing.

I want to give 0 rating but I can't, one is the minimum I can give. This is the worst shopping experience I have ever had. When I purchased the $700 suit for my husband. I called them and asked for their return policy since I am buying in Canada. They said that I can get full credit back if I am not happy about it. I made the purchase only to find out it will take a month or more for it to get shipped, I called immediately the next day when I found out to see if I can pay extra for faster shipping since my hudsband's interview is one month later but no, they only do one shipping for all orders. After I received the item, my hudsband and I got surprised by the poor quality and cutting of the suit. My hudsband insisted that I should call back for credits and I called, it's ok you don't want to give me the credits since you said that the suit is over 200 and you don't do credits for over 200 dollars international items, but you don't have to be so mean. I don't understand how come both times the customer services were this rude and mean while the price is so high compared to the quality of the product. I miss myhabit, beyond the rack, their customer service are so nice and I never have any issue with the products. I wont shop at gilt ever again since their people really disgust me. Just because you have mean staff with bad attitude doesn't make you high end.

I ordered 4 Items. One was sent to me a size too small. Another was sent to me in the wrong colour. They got half of my order wrong. That's just pathetic.
I ordered a pair of shorts June 15th, 2020 and the estimated delivery date was June 26th. Sixteen days had passed and I still didn't receive a tracking number. Every customer service representative had a different explanation on why it was taking so long. One told me my order would be shipped after the sale was over, another told me it takes 16 days to process the order & another said a month. This website is not what it appears to be & I DONT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO PURCHASE FROM HERE
They are the biggest liars I have ever dealt with. They sent the incorrect item and have broken every promise to resolve the issue. It's been 6 weeks and I still haven't received the right item and they won't credit my account. How hard is it to send me the correct lamp? Week 1: Gilt asked me to send a pic to verify. Week 2: I didn't hear from them for a wk, so I followed up at which pt they said they were waiting for the pic. I sent it to them again. Week 3: I didn't hear from them for another week, so I followed up again. They said they were working on a resolution (again, what takes so long to send me the right item?). So I asked for credit back and details on how to return the item. They responded with "we are working on a resolution." Week 4: I emailed them another week later, at which point they blamed Sandy for the delay. What kind of co blames a natural disaster after they'd already had 4 weeks to resolve what I think is a simple issue (my family lives in Zone A, so in no way am I being heartless about this. I think Gilt is a horrible co for using Sandy as a scapegoat). Week 5: They promised to have the replacement lamp to me by 11/7/12. Week 6: It's 11/15/12 and no lamp, no credit to my account, and no response from Gilt. They are a HORRIBLE company.
What happened to Gilt's customer service? Wish I'd read some of the recent reviews before purchasing a vintage Chanel handbag. The item was listed as non-refundable but I received something that was misrepresented on their website. Critical details about the handbag's strap were omitted and the description provided was misleading to say the least. A Chanel store rep confirmed that the chain was not common and should not be described as a "classic Chanel chain shoulder strap". The unusual nature of the strap was not detailed anywhere and it was not obvious in the pictures.
I attempted to resolve this both over the phone and over email. Every interaction was punctuated by a common attitude: they simply DID NOT CARE. In addition to completely ignoring the details of my complaint (it's like they never actually read the emails), there was a plain lack of interest in accountability - an absolute refusal to acknowledge that they do make mistakes every once in a while and when they do, the ethical thing to do would be to try and rectify it somehow. They couldn't even explain why they couldn't/wouldn't take the item back and simply parroted the fact that it was listed as non-refundable. The manager I spoke with was a one-line automaton, "sorry you feel that way" or absolute silence to my questions. They didn't even offer store credit. This attitude is incomprehensible and disappointing doesn't even begin to cover it.
I have become weary of Gilt's credibility and their borderline unethical attitude. I will take my luxury goods shopping elsewhere until they figure out what kind of merchant they'd like to be.

The WORST. First, I ordered a dress that was totally irregular--the seams were all puckery and poochy. It looked like a home economics experiment. When I returned said tragic piece of trash, I was not refunded, but given a GILT "credit," meaning GILT would hang onto my money while I desperately tried to find some other garbage that was slightly less offensive. When I finally did find something (that I later saw at Nord's rack for half the GILT price), they sent it the WRONG ADDRESS. When I complained that I never received my merchandise, they told me to call the concierge at the other apartment building to see if I could figure something out. Hands down, the WORST shopping experience of my life.
I can't wait for these morons to go out of business.
Was having an issue with the website and was flustered by not able to get the page to load up, send email to customer service and within 20 minutes they sent the return forms, i was impressed.
I'm disappointed. I bought perfume from Gilt and it is fake! But this is not the main problem, the perfume was half empty. Are you serious? I do not recommend this service to anyone!

Gilt Handbag Stores Online is a very good place to buy handbags from. They have a great selection of designer handbags at reasonable prices, and their customer service is very good.
I used to think Gilt was a site for top end products with top notch customer service. It was proven wrong this time, when I purchased a vintage Rolex (paid $7,000). The watch came in with the bezel not rotating, contrary to what the advertisement (and the attached 'appraiser' statement indicated). When I contacted Gilt, the customer service said they will contact their "jewelry department" and will "get back to me in 7 business days". This was THREE MONTHS ago. In the interim time, I have contacted them 4 more times, and each time, the answer was "we are to hear back from our jewelry department and we should get to you in 3 business days". I feel that the service I got after purchasing a $7,000 merchandise is worse that what I would have gotten at Walmart. All the lip service and no action. I probably will never buy anything anymore from Gilt. I will turn to other online shopping sites. There are plenty. I will also report this to BBB and 60 Minutes to ask for an investigative research into the scam.
They are in the business of FRAUD! They show small pictures of items that have no way to zoom in. When the items arrive, there is always something FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG with them. They are wonderful in appearance as well as in the comfort they provide. These are genuinely of exceptional quality, as evidenced by the fact that I have worn them both to work and on the weekends.
Be wary of buying fine jewelry on Gilt. First, the jewelry is heavily marked up (upto 3x) then discounted to make it appear as a good deal. Second, the jewelry does not arrive with brand's own packaging. I can back this with my experience with the Amrapali brand jewelry bought on Gilt.
I bought a pair of Amrapali earrings on Gilt, which was not just significantly marked up but arrived without standard Amrapali packaging (red box or drawstring pouch), or instructions for care or any certificate of authenticity (you would get that if you purchase diamonds on Amrapali's own website). I received a pair of diamond earrings in bubble wrap packed in Gilt shipping box. Having purchased Amrapali jewelry over the years both in-store and online from their website, I know the difference.
I also compared some identical jewelry pieces available on both Amrapali website and the Gilt site. After the supposed discount, Gilt was selling most jewelry for a couple of hundred dollars over what the brand itself charges. The Gilt discount is just a sham for those too lazy to do the comparison. I would not recommend buying fine jewelry at Gilt.
I recently ordered a toy stroller from gilt.com for my toddler. Their sales are advertised as being available on a first-come first-served basis, and items are available until they sell out. I logged on as soon as the sale went live, made my purchase shortly thereafter and received an email confirming my order. Over the next few days, I checked back and the toy stroller was still available -- it did not sell out as other items did. This order was placed just before Labor Day weekend. This weekend, I contacted Gilt.com to find out the status of my order and was informed that it would be shipped shortly. Today, I received an email from the company saying that due to an inventory error my order would not be fulfilled. Given that my order was placed within the first hour of the sale going life, I feel that it is egregious that my order was not one of the first one filled before they ran out. I feel that they clearly position their sales as being on an as-available basis and that by fulfilling other orders before they sent out mine they are falsely advertising their services. Other consumers should be aware that this company does not stand by their positioning and cannot be trusted. This is particularly upsetting because this was an item I was buying for my child, and I passed by opportunities to buy very similar items on sale because I had already ordered it from Gilt.com. Were the situation reversed and I had tried to cancel my order I am certain that Gilt.com would not have given me a break.
Excellent. On two occasions, my question and requests were immediately handled. The responses were very clear and courteous. This improves significantly my desire to return to GILT in the future.
