This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.
They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin
Excellent. On two occasions, my question and requests were immediately handled. The responses were very clear and courteous. This improves significantly my desire to return to GILT in the future.

Customer "service" seems to be entirely lost on Gilt.com. After previous poor experiences with customer service, I recently tried to apply a free shipping discount I earned through compiling "insider points" from previous purchases. I couldn't use the free shipping discount because there were other offers applied to my cart; nonetheless, Gilt.com charged me for the points and when I asked customer service to reimburse my points since I couldn't use them, they refused and told me I could use them any time until the end of the year. I understand that the discount is still available, but I have no plans to make another purchase soon and could have used those points for another perk, which I can longer do.
Regardless, the tone of the rep helping me was rude. In particular, the rep apologized that I "felt" like I was getting screwed. Maybe it is just me, but apologizing because of the way someone else feels is like saying, "not my fault, but i'm really sorry you feel like it is." Sorry, Gilt, but I DID get screwed by your ridiculous policy and you should refund my points and apologize for your policy, not my the way your policy makes a customer feel.

They are basically a small company... if you talk to a customer representative be aware you will be talking to the same person the next time but with a different name. They WON'T HELP YOU OUT WITH ANY ISSUE IF YOU DON'T HAVE PROOF!
I paid $30 to purchase free shipping. When I tried to return an item I was informed that there is no free shipping on returns.
When my refund comes through I will unsubscribe from Gilt.
My order arrived promptly, and I'm happy with everything I ordered. Amazing quality always. Always happy with the high quality of the products. Orders are always thrilling to get. Very good service.
The customer service is terrible! I emailed them days ago but there's no response until now. I had some questions about their goods. But now I think I won't order from them.
I purchased a winter coat from gilt in beginning of february, it FINALLY came about a month later but somehow, when I purchased a WINTER JACKET, they sent me a summer dress. I called to explain the situation, where at first they told me to take a picture and send it to the service department so they can sort the issue out, which they then told me that the item is no longer in stock and not available to reorder. The customer service was absolutely awful, the supervisor was a complete b*tch and could not care less about my order. I used to love this site but I will NEVER order from them again.
I needed to cancel an order and was afraid I missed the window. I sent an e-mail and within minutes it was taken care... and done so with kindness and attention to detail.

Just had a horrific customer service experience with your company today. Had a $10 "Insider" merchandise credit because of my prior purchases and a 30% off promo that was mailed to me. Tried to use them on a toaster that I saw on the site, and the site would not take both. Figured that if I talked to customer service via your chat window this would be taken care of quickly. How wrong I was! The first rep named Ellen said that I could not combine 2 offers and that she could not do anything for me. Escalated the issue to a supervisor name Cian who gave me the same baloney policy. Then had to escalate the issue yet again to a manager named Mike. He then gave me the same old nonsense. However, I insisted that he come up with an acceptable resolution to the problem. After about 30 minutes of going back and forth with reps, supervisors, and managers, he finally did the right thing and issued the $10 as a credit (as opposed to what you guys are calling a "promo") so that I could use the 30% off promotion as well. Any reasonable retailer (Macy's, Banana Republic, Bloomingdales, etc) would have done just that in the first 2 minutes. It shouldn't take 30 minutes of arguing to buy a toaster. I have had several friends tell me that they have stopped using Gilt because of issues just like this, and I'm really starting to see why. Get it together guys, you are supposed to be a "luxury" retailer.
Even i got a damaged merchandise on my first purchased experience with gilt, but i got a good customer service helped with Jessica, ill still shop with gilt in future.
I have never bought from Gilt.com before. I was lured to Gilt.com because they advertised very low prices on what seem like clearance items. After buying, I regret it. There were many negative surprises I learned after receiving my purchases. 1) I bought 4 pairs of shoes, and now will return 2 pairs because they don't fit. When return items YOU DONT GET your money back. They give you "Gilt Credit". WTF? Implication: When you buy from them, you RISK not getting your money back. Now what the heck am I going to do with $200 in "Gilt Credit" if I don't like any of their merchandise. I'm stuck with "Gilt Credit" until they feature something I am delighted to buy. 2) Customer Service - THEY HAVE NONE. If you email them with a question, which I did, I get an auto reply saying they will contact me in 3 (THREE) days. Then I call the 800 toll free tel#. I was on hold for 20 minutes, before I finally gave up. BOTTOM Line - THEY TAKE your money & give customer service that is a disaster. Other mail order businesses will take the risk out of buying by giving you a full refund if you return items you don't like. Gilt.com only gives you credit an exchange. I, right not don't like any of their items for sale. So I'm stuck with $200 in gilt credit and they have nothing in their inventory I want to buy, or they don't have what I want to buy in my size. This is really frustrating.
Tip for consumers:
a) They have no customer service on tel#, even though they publish 800 tel#. No one answers phone. I was on hold for 20 mins before hanging up.
b) If you buy something that you return, you won't get your money back. You only get a credit for an exchange. This sucks when they have nothing else you want to buy, or they don't have your size in the item you want.
My order came in a timely manner and I love everything that I order. Always great quality. Always pleased with excellent quality products. Always exciting to receive an order.
They cancel my order for no reason and shut me out of my account. They gave me credit but also locked me out of my account. So stupid please don't waste your time with them.
I ordered linens, was charged for my order and only half of the order showed up with all the merchandise on the packing slip! They are rip-offs! I only received half the order.

I accidentally purchased a nonreturnable item not realizing my credit card was already linked--i clicked "purchase" thinking it would bring me to a payment page, but it instead charged a card already on file. I wrote to GILT and a representative, Patrick, quickly refunded it for me. I replied to thank him and let him know that i recently received an order for an other nonreturnable item, but the shirts were not the right size, but he refunded it for me AGAIN since both items were still "live" on Gilt. THANKS SO MUCH to the Gilt Customer Service Team!
My first purchase was a chandelier and it had missing crystals. It took about 3 weeks to get them, but love the light fixture but hated the hassle.
My second purchase was 2 outdoor lounge chaise chairs. They were finally scheduled to deliver 3 days past the time frame, but no big deal. My delivery; however, has been a NIGHTMARE! I received one box which ended up being a California King Headboard!?!?!? WTH?
So after multiple calls and emails to both HomeDirect USA (delivery idiots) and Gilt (clueless people) I still have a headboard sitting on my back deck (box is now destroyed due to numerous rain storms and I can't lift it to the garage nor do I feel like I need to) I get an email finally today that, OOOPPS, sorry we can't get your items. Basically, sorry about your luck.
And I still have this stupid headboard on my back deck that I keep asking them to pick up. This company is a joke. I'd rather pay quadruple price for an item I can actually get than this run around, BS.

An excellent assortment, quality items, interesting models, frequent novelties... proven service, interest in the client, polite and prompt communication, timely delivery.
While they often have fabulous designers, their return policy is unfair, & Gilt's customer service is among the worst I have ever dealt with.
I purchased a pair of earrings from them. When they arrived, the stone in the center of the earrings was the wrong color. When I contacted them via email, their response, not only took 2 days but was snippy. They wouldn't enter my complaint until I took pictures & emailed them. What a pain, but I did it. Their response to me was they do not take returns for refunds unless the item is over $200, but if I pay the return shipping, they will give me a store credit. I was surprised, as THEY misrepresented the item... the picture was for a different color. Therefore, they should have to pay the return shipping & REFUND my money or send me the correct item, not give me a credit. I won't bore you with the details, but there were several emails that went back & forth & Gilt wouldn't budge. Shocking, just shocking. I will not ever make a purchase from them again. I would rather give my money to companies with better return polices & more helpful customer service.
On the 13th of October, 2015, among other things I ordered 'Original Penguin Jerry Jeff Boots' from Gilt website. The colour of this boot on the website is tan brown while the shoe I received is more of muddy brown. A colour I dislike. Highly discouraged to wear these boots because of the colour, I informed them that the boots sent to me were not the colour as shown on their website. I even clicked the pictures of the boot received by me as well as took screen grabs of the boot on their website, and for the sake of convenient comparison sent it to them. They agreed to take a return of the product but refused to pay for its courier from Mumbai to their office in the US. They also pointed towards the fact that they do not take returns from India but were making a one time exception for me. On principle, the idea that I had to pay for the return courier is not agreeable with me. Purely because this error of misrepresentation of the product through its colour is not my mistake. In fact, it amounts to GILT fooling their customers with incorrect information. They have refused to address this issue.
Post this review here. They got really active and have returned the full amount including return shipping.
Ordered multiple products. I really wanted new sunglasses, saw a few other items on the way that I picked up in addition. After being charged for each item I was informed they'd arrive on different days as separate orders. The first package came later than I was told. The second package never came. Two weeks after the estimated arrival date I called gilt.com and they told me the items were damaged in shipping and they will give me a refund with in 10 business days.
I find that an absolute joke. Had I not called would they have kept my money and not tell me about the damaged product?
After waiting two weeks after the estimated arrival date I still hadn't been informed.
Ontop of all this, I didnt even care about the other items I bought! I only bought them in addition to the sunglasses which I never received.
After asking for compensation, all they could offer me was 15% off my next purchase within two weeks. Funny thing is they don't have any other sunglasses.
Very poor customer service. I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere.
