This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.
They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin
Quick, easy and efficient. Someone got back to me right away and she followed through with my request a month later when it was possible to do so. Would have been even better if they could have processed the request immediately but that wasn't possible here.
Never never buy from them. I've ordered Modloft bed back in November 2017, they promised to deliver it by end of December. After my multiple follow ups with them they told that the order can be delivered by the end of January. 1/19 I've received an email that the order cannot be delivered at all (they still have this product advertised on their website and manufacture is still producing this product).
Stay away from this retailer even if you see products cheaper,- you can be negatively surprised with their false advertisements. They can cancel your order without any reason. They are not committed to customer satisfaction, demonstrated very poor communication level. I wish I could read some reviews before ordering from them.
The slash through prices are a total lie. I recently ordered a pair of sheets, slash through price was $400, sale price $110. When I received them the retail sticker price said $83. I emailed customer support and was told 'Sorry you don't like your sheets but this is the cost of doing business.' They wouldn't even price match. I went through three emails and gave up. They have taken the 1 (800) number off their site so if you want to call them you have to wIt on hold forever paying long distance charges. Gilt clearly doesn't care about ripping you off.

Ordered a pair of Hunter rain boots from them, when I opened the box, both of the boots have serious scratch markings on multiple places. From the look of the markings it is obvious that they are not caused during mailing, but more like defects. Totally disappointed. Now I have to talk to gilt.com and try to have them take the boots back for full credit. Would not trust them again.
I had purchased restaurant vouchers from Gilt City. Unfortunately the restaurant closed. I emailed customer service, and within minutes a polite email informed me my account had been credited for the purchase.

I really appreciate the fact that Gilt made an exception and allowed me to return some items that were final sale. I knew I took a chance when ordering them, and when they didn't work out, I assumed I had no recourse. But I was happily surprised that the issue was quickly resolved in an online chat session, when the agent offered to make this one-time exception.
I would be very careful about ordering from them. They misrepresent the prices of their products. It's supposed to be a discount site, but they often sell things for more than you'd pay anywhere else. For example, I just saw a silver Prep9 9-Cup Food Processor selling for $169. They claim the original retail price was $520. I knew there was no way that was true, so I googled that product and most places sell it for $149.99, some even less. The most expensive was for $159.99 (Best Buy).
Ordered a shirt from their "Made in Italy" sale, received shirt weeks later and it was made in Romania. I contacted customer service and they made me send a picture of the label for proof that the shirt was made in Romania. I insisted on credit to my credit card instead of store credit. Now I am waiting for the return package to arrive at their store. Their return label must tell Post Office, "use Pony Express" because I handed it to the mail person September 28 and, as of today, has not arrived at Gilt.com. They had better process my credit quicker than that.
You take advantage of customers. You are supposed to be an upscale merchant that is trustworthy. You are a disappointment, and I will do all I can to get my money back. I should not need a police report; you are a ripe-off with has business practices, you hide behind foolishness to oppress customers; I need my money back. I can not afford to shrug my shoulders and walk away. Do the investigation, challenge FedEx, and find out why the package was not delivered to my door as the building management stipulates. Why did FedEx call me to come down? I live on the 5th floor of a massive building with signs all over mandating that packages MUST be taken to the tenant's door; FedEx did not oblige... your failure, your problem, not mine. Please refund my money. $1600 is not a joke; it is not a chicken change for me. GILT REFUND MY MONEY
I LOVED gilt. Bought everything on there for 4+ years. Sometimes clothing didn't fit or an item wasn't what I expected and customer service was always top notch. Enter Saks Off 5th and now it's hautelook with a more intuitive interface. Hautelook sucks if your not aware of it - Nordstrom purchased it when it gained popularity and it sucked ever since.
With the entry of Saks, Gilt now charges sales tax in the state that I live in. I am rating it a 2 because I still like using their interface to shop but with tax plus shipping... I just google the item I want and can usually find it priced slightly higher or at the same price but without tax or shipping charges. I am sure that gilt will now take the same path as Nordstrom's hautelook and reduce their quality in products and service while they increase their margins.
I cancelled my most recent furniture order and returned a shirt that was in the process of shipping. Never again.

Jude was so helpful when I hit a snag with the promotion code not applying the full value as indicated on the refer-a-friend promotion. While she didn't have an immediate fix, she asked me to email her the details and promised to figure out what was going wrong and why. Sure enough, she did find a solution and emalied me promptly, within the hour. I know that marketing teams don't always communicate the fine print of their promotions effectively to customer service teams and was impressed that Jude and her team we able to solve the problem! Had an item in my cart for less then 5 minutes. Since i haven't shopped there in a while, in the time it took for me to update my credit card info and address, when i went to check out i was informed my item was sold out. Right out of the cart, with no notice! So i had emailed them about it and NOTHING. Not even a "thank you for your email we will get back to you! Moreover, they had sent me several emails saying the item is still in your cart, check out now, followed by, the item you had wanted now became available... These guys are taunting jerks. Plenty of other sites to shop with, these guys are the worst!
I have only ever used Gilt once, and it was to buy an obscenely expensive pair of Louboutins. When they did not fit, I was terrified because I had read the nightmarish reviews from people who had to go through hell to return their merchandise. I was positive that I was going to lose my money. I didn't sleep for a couple of days.
But... nothing bad happened. The shoes appeared authentic, and the return process was pretty painless. The only inconvenience is that I had to take them to a FedEx location rather than drop them in a postbox. But given what they cost, I would have done that anyway.
Gilt is what it tells you it is. Upscale goods, good prices for what you're getting. STELLAR customer service. I will only deal with this company and Vente-Privee.com for high-cost AUTHENTIC designer goods. I have authenticated many of the items I've purchased from them. They're always the real thing. For this reason, I trust them. They pack the things in a way that makes you feel that they care about the quality of what they sell, and you feel like you're getting a present from yourself when you open one. Their cardboard boxes look & feel glamourous.
I also love GiltCity. Hit that tab first if offered in your city. You'll be glad you did.
Purchased a RedCarter one piece swimsuit on my AMEX. So glad I purchased with this card. Waited a full month and still no swimsuit. Called Customer Service and they explained it was a "sell first", whatever the heck that means. Bottom line they escalated my order so I would get my suit faster. That was sweet of them. Received the package one week later, low and behold I open the package and out comes top only, no bottoms, no one piece RedCarter suit like I ordered. Immediately called Customer "Disservice" and complained. Was told the warehouse had the wrong order number. The packing slip clearly said one piece---guess they thought no one would notice if I went naked on the bottom. They can't send a replacement b/c don't have the suit anymore after 5 weeks of waiting. Probably never had it in the first place. Listen to the reviews and double digit negative ratings. Must really **** to work in Customer Disservice and for that matter at Gilt.
I have been shopping with Gilt for many years on a frequent basis, but these last 8 morning nths the site has gone completely downhill and become not only impossible to utilize while shopping for items but impossible to place an order. You will spend 2-3 hours between shopping and trying to get your order placed due to multiple glitches in the system. Stay away from this site as it will waste your time and efforts. Customer service on the telephone is even worse than glitches on the websites. What a pity as it was such a wonderful site in years past.

Their customer service socks. Asked for the evidence of wrong order, but they didn't prove any. If you click on the wish list, it automatically charge on the net. Never leave credit info on the net. So fed up with its customer service too. A different mangers reply same email without answering inquiries. I've never done any review on shopping site, but this must be known to everyone!
After reading a few of these reviews, I'm glad I'm not out more money than I am. My order was somehow sent to the entirely wrong address in a state across the country. I think it somehow conflated my Ru La La information with the address I actually entered as the address they sent it to was a hybrid of the two. I did not know the two sites were affiliated until I contacted customer service. Like everyone else, I was met with an "oh well." I was livid. They actually told me to try to contact the owner of the address where it was sent…

I have purchased a watch at Gilt. The item was delivered to me 10 days ago. I wore it only twice. The watch band gold color is disappearing with black spots coming out. This watch after two uses looks like 10 year old watch. I called Gilt service to requst a return but they are refusing to take it back because it was worn(the watch was in my possession only for 10 days). The original price of this item is above $1000. The watch of that value should not look beat up after two uses. Gilt has disappointed me deeply after I have been their customer for many years. I wish I would be allowed to include the pictures in this review

I ordered sunglasses from this store, they in turn after 17 weeks (yes 17) of "processing" the order I finally get it. Well not really, because what they shipped was just a brick, yup literally a brick.
Overall I enjoy using Gilt. But I do have two points to raise.
1. I wish returns were processed much faster. In general and relative to other online stores/sites it is very slow.
2. The TrueFit feature is nice but not ubiquitously applied the website. It makes life very difficult for people like me (6'5).
You exceeded my expectations! My items didn't come as expected and you refunded enough money for me to go out and purchase the correct pillow inserts so that I'd be happy with my new pillows. Thank you!
I have spent over $32,000 on Gilt.com and earned 68,000 insider points. Gilt has a fine print policy that you lose your points (in this case my points are worth $200) if you fail to make a purchase within 6 months. They do not inform you of this policy and do not warn you (unless you call slyly embedding the notice of point expiration in only 2 of the literally hundreds of emails you receive from them). I found out today, CyberMonday, when logging into the site, and they were very rude on the phone when I called to inquire. They have lost my patronage.
