I have numerous bad experiences with them. One time, they won't accept return before shipping and the item is not final sell, the shipping time is very long and they failed to provide tracking info. They will not do price match on items on their own site. Customer service is not helpful at all, their replies appear to be polite but are actually sacastic. It's not just one or two CS acted this way, it's built in the company culture. I'm done with them and will not even look at their site.

Gilt has some great deals. What sucks about this website is that things go out of stock quickly, there is a NO RETURN POLICY on all things, and if you googled the product, you could find it for a cheaper price on competitive websites.

Sometimes the quality of an item is worth the money, sometimes it is not. Just be careful when making a purchase. You have to ask yourself, how badly you want it, and how many times it will be used, because I've bought a couple of pair of shoes from DV that pinch my toes, and have worn once. Their website it geared towards higher end items and the customer service sucks.

I must say that I am extremely impressed with the customer service provided by Gilt. I ordered several things from your company and two of the arrived damage. Your customer service department via Chat, immediately made the adjustments and put me at the top of the waitlist for the item in the future. It took all of 5 minutes of my time... What an awesome way to ensure that you keep customers coming back. I am hooked on Gilt!

Gilt had a sale in November for Black Friday. I wanted to order a
Coat but was unsure of their sizing. They said that I could return
The one that didn't fit. I ordered a 38 and a 40.
I am now told that since I ordered the 38 first and returned it, they
Would not give me the sale price on the 40. I had presumed wrongly
That they wold give me the sale price on which ever coat I kept.
Will not be giving them any more of my business.

Spent $$$$ on a pair diamond earrings and they sent a complete different pair/brand; called three times to return and talked to many specialists, no one can help me. It was close to 3K. They don`t care, they just want to take your money, I still do not have my refund. Not a trustworthy company, do not purchase from them.

gilt.com is very deceiving. They marked most of the items as final sale. Watch out before you make any purchase. I bought a pair of earrings for ~$300. They were much bigger than pictured. A bag I bought for over $1000 is not the same color shown on the site. When I contacted the customer service, they simply told me that they cannot accept the items for return. What a big ripoff! I would never buy another item from the site.

Gilt handbags are amazing! I have had my purse for several years now and I absolutely love it. The leather is so soft, and the texture makes it so easy to hold. The space inside is so convenient - I can fit everything I need in there without having to make too much effort!

Placed an order and the delivery date came and passed without delivery. Contacted the company to find that my order has not shipped! The customer service rep did not offer an apology. Poor customer service! Looking at all of the other reviews says a lot. I will not be ordering from them again.

Placed an order, and received notice of shipment the next day. Revisited the shipment email 3-4 days later, only to find out they provided me with a phony tracking number that could not be found in any major carriers' database.

Incredibly dishonest, not sure how their site is still online. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I used to buy a lot from here, but lately it has gone waaaay downhill. They just lost me as a customer (after having spent $1000's) over $5 and two really bad experiences. One was a bad product, the other was bad customer service, which was a first for them. They used to have great service and good prices. Now, prices are much lower elsewhere and they don't care about your business.

I had purchase gold earrings with pearls, when I received it looks like bought in the 99 cents, and thera many dents. Iitem non-returnable.
Unfortunately it was the worst experience.
Picture on the site absolutely doesn't match the real picture. Dont recommend.

Beware of purchasing any Designer pieces from Gilt. They sell Fake handbags and other designer items and represent them as Authentic items and list as a Final Sale. It is very difficult to reach customer service to get any resolution. There should be a class action lawsuit against this company so other innocent consumers don't get scammed!

I planned to gift my wife a stella mccarthy bag. By mistake, I ordered a clutch. It took me a bit to realize that. I called up the customer service and explained my mistake and requested them to swap the order with a bag. They were kind enough of doing it. I was very pleased. I spoke to Mary, who was very detail oriented and helped me right away. Thanks Mary!

I ordered a pair of Levi Jeans from Gilt and then compared them to actual Levi's; not the same. The real Levi's were made with a much nicer denim, with better stitching and a non-awkward fit. The Gilt Levi's felt like they were less substantial than a pair of Old Navy jeans, and are not symmetrical in term of the fit. Now I'm not a "sophisticated" enough of a buyer to say that the Gilt pair is fake, but I won't be ordering much from them anymore. Beware of what you order, and make sure you check the return policy.

I came across a great coupon for a rebate to be used on this site. They are now refusing to honor this deal. For every query, they come up with a different excuse. And, they say my product is "non-returnable".
Stay away.

The suit I bought has serious defect; wrinkles like small bubbles that would return just an hour or so after ironing. During the first wear at a wedding, I had to go back to the hotel room four times in order to press the wrinkles down. I contacted Gilt customer service several times and, each time, was told it could not do anything as the suit was beyond the return period. Well, in my contacts, I clearly stated that I would not return the suit, just hoping it would do something to reduce the loss. To no avail, Gilt refuses to do anything for a customer who bought a defective suit.

I almost purchased something from this website because of the email they sent with the extra 30 percent off with code Guilt30, as I was trying to check out, I could not add the coupon code until I provide name, shipping address and credit card info. So I decided to check on their review and I was so glad that I did. I will never buy anything from this site ever. Will put them as SPAM. Thank you for posting all your reviews to warn consumer like me.

I purchased a LV wallet from gilt listed as authentic and a final sale. After receiving the wallet I noticed thread coming from the card slot. From my experience of purchasing LV products for Saks 5th Avenue this has never happened. After a few months I noticed a crack in the crease of gold in LV a wallet after this I contacted Gilt customer service and they were horrible. The product is a fake, I am out of over 600.00 dollars and they wouldn't take it back. The product was actually sent from a reseller that sell on GIlt. I am so disappointed and angry. I would love to join a class action lawsuit.

I've ordered several things from them over the years and I've found shipping to be fast and everything to be as described. Unlike some of the other "member" shopping sites, I've always received what I actually ordered (not told after the fact that it's not in stock) I highly recommend.

I ordered 2 sets of cutlery on their site. The pictures looked beautiful and modern. The cutlery that arrived was in a similar modern style, but extraordinarily long and there was absolutely nothing mentioned in the description about the atypical length. The regular forks and spoons are longer than most of serving ware and the appetizer forks and dessert spoons are similar to most dinner utensils. These utensils are for giants! I sent Gilt a photo highlighting the discrepancy between the photo on their website and what arrived, asking them to allow me to return them, but they refused to offer any solutions. Do not order anything from Gilt! It may be nothing like the description! To add insult to injury, their so-called black friday flash sale price was actually significantly higher than what these cutlery go for anywhere else.

This place is a rip off. I recently found a dress for my wife. It was $69 from originally $120 - great right? Wrong! Shopping and handling was $38! I emailed customer service with item and first response was that wasn't unreasonable for large or items that needed to be assembled. I restated that it was a dress that weighed 2 lbs and coming from US. They just said they will look into it and for ME to check back in a few days to see if price changed. A few days later I checked back on another dress and was $68.50 for S&H for a $40 dress. Look at done print - this place is Unethical and trying to con third buyers in buying low cost items but screwing them on S&H charges.

TOTAL SCAM. Before purchasing the"Deal", I was especially thorough to make certain I knew what I was buying. They out right lied! After requesting a refund they advised me about the fine print that redefies the ad and deletes half the promotion. Beer and dining it says. But it is only beer. What kind of con guys are they.
