This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.

They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin

Bought a pan set where one came with a scratch, totally useless and defective and I opened a case over a week ago only to not get a serious response. Basically this is how they work: you buy and pay for the item, they ship the item (takes longer than average, I mean come on) and your item arrives damaged. You call and they tell you is a final sale, no wonder it was a final sale! They do not offer a return, a refund or an exchange, I simply threw away and gifted them $129. Be extremely careful with what you buy. For high quality items and designer stuff, just go to Farfetch.com and save yourself some headaches with GILT. NEVER BUYING FROM THEM AGAIN!

With their new "return for gilt credit if the item is under $200" policy, I'm already turned off... but even worse is that even if a returned item is received and credited BEFORE a new item is shipped, they won't use the credit. The credit has to be in the system before one orders. It's not legal to charge for an item until it is shipped, but they can't use a credit that is received before charging and shipping a new item? Gilt is now less user friendly than a department store.

I was very impressed with the dress I received from the website. It took a while to come but I think that was because of the shipping company, not the store. I did not have to go through customer service but will definitely use again!

There customer service is horrible! I asked for a store credit not refund for a gilt city voucher in which the merchant could not accomodate the customer in a normal and customary situations. So I refused to go back to that business and as a result asked Gilt for store credit and was denied even after speaking to the manager. Consider the warning!

Tip for consumers:
Just consider most of their sales Final. The shipping takes much longer than other online merchants and comes in a flimsy plastic bag that looks like it has been stepped on. Their customer service ends with sorry and acknowledgement of your "inconvenience" blah blah blah. That is about it. Go shop elsewhere customer service is valued like Amazon. They will know online shopping is where is at and without proper customer service they will not profit.

I placed an order and then after realizing how long shipping would take, I decided to cancel it just a few hours later. There was no option to cancel, so I called as soon as Gilt's hotline opened the next morning. I was told it was too late to cancel, even though it's July 10 and it won't ship for about 2 weeks! I called back and then was told it was cancelled, no problem, and I would get an email and refund. When I didn't see an email, I called back and was told I should hear about a cancellation soon but it wasn't guaranteed. I then spoke with a supervisor who said it was too late to cancel this order. I do not understand as the order was placed overnight, just hours before, and it wasn't going to ship out for a while. It's still in the warehouse. The cheaper prices aren't worth the customer service. Avoid Gilt at all costs! It is a scam. The customer service is atrocious. They should feel GUILTY for taking people's money and being awful.

I purchased the wrong item- opened the item that has a tag that says do not remove if you wish to return the item. I tried to return the wrong item that was received only to be denied. $1800 later next time I will go to the store. Customer Services is not what it issue to be anymore. Gilt needs to improve on their level of integrity.

I ordered a Le Vian chocolate diamond and opal ring for my daughter's birthday. I was pleased that it arrived quickly but disappointed immediately because the ring clearly did not look as good as the photo online and did not have the chocolate colored diamonds. They went to great lengths to make this fake look real -- Le Vian box, tag, and it appeared to be engraved on the inside with the words Le Vian. I took the ring to a jewelry store that sells Le Vian rings and we compared the ring to the real deal under the microscope. The engraving was nothing like the real deal and there was no registration mark. They confirmed it was a fake. I returned the ring immediately and am waiting for my refund. I'll update this when I get it. Although the website states "free returns" -- it's only free return shipping if you are accepting store credit. I wanted my money back, so I had to pay $9.99 for return shipping.

To start with, promised 10% promo code was never sent to me to claim my 10% off. The customer services says since I am an EU buyer I am not entitled to it (!) what a strange excuse. The promised 7-11 delivery days were a big fat lie. I made my purchase on the 8th of July, today is 25th still no tracking number provided and the Customer Services is not giving me any dates or further details. Won't recommend to anyone

I have purchased 2 pairs of Jimmy choos, 1 pair of valentinos, malin & goetz candle and various other items from Gilt over the years. I let things go because it seems like you are getting a deal but I noticed the Jimmy Choo pumps were not as good of quality as others I have purchased. The last pair of Valentino pumps I bought have completely different Valentino Emblems, positioning, the word is not centered on the bottom of the shoes. They are complete fakes. The glass on the malin & goetz candle melted in half after one hour of burning! They are buying goods from china and reselling 1000%

I placed an order had it confirmed with a confirmation order only to have it cancelled the next day, they did not give a reason until I pushed back and they said my items were out of stock. Except I found one of my items still for sale at a much higher price and they had 3 in stock in my size. They are no longer replying to me - not a very honorable company and they have too much competition to be this complacent with good customers. I do not recommend this site.

I wish I could give it ZERO star! I have purchased a voucher on May and didn't use it until the end of July. (The voucher expired on August 3rd.) When I logged in to my account the website showed no results for any order placed before July. Then I called customer service they gave me a voucher number. It turned out INVALID! I called again they promised me to send me another one and they didn't. After several calls they FINALLY agree to refund me. It has been a month now I still haven't got my money back! I will never use Gilt and Gilt City again! They just get your money and don't care about the customers at all! Very bad experience!

A bunch of FRAUDS! Just repeating what others have said. HORRIBLE website and customer service. Avoid by all means.

They sent me a WRONG item. When raised the issue, was told that I can only receive a credit and not a refund (for their mistake)! After a few back and forth with their customer service, I had to call and get a supervisor. Was told to return the item and a month after I returned the item, I still have not received their refund yet. Upon checking their website, I noticed that my return has been expired!

A bunch of loosers who don't understand that this is the era of Amazon and other online retailers with decent customer service.

I ordered the one and only thing my grandaughter wanted, got confirmation order was shipped and date should receive. When did not come was told so sorry it was never shipped. When called for manager Jaime was a joke. Said his manager did not take calls and would not give me vendors indoemation. Then advised that it was lost in transit. Which is it? Can't even get story straight of why I did not receive. Out of stock so could not over night it. This company is a joke and I would not order anything from them!

Now they want to give me a 30% discount on my next order. Really, like I am stupid enough to use you again. What a joke!

I place a final sale order with Gilt and it took 3 months to arrive. In that time the price dropped $100 dollars. So I called to see if they would credit me the difference since my order had not shipped, and they couldnt. Ok, so I asked that they cancel that order so I could repurchase at the lower price, they could not cancel my order either. It seems that products come directly from the supplier and they lose control of the order once its placed. The worst part is, they also have no quality control over the product that is shipped. They have no idea the condition the product is in. In my case my acrylic picture arrived with chips, scratches, and cracks in it. Calling customer service is a waste of time, all they say is there is nothing they can do. So you sell a product, call it final sale, and wash your hands of delivering a quality product or providing any time of service to the customer that shops your site.

Gilt 's final sale stuff didn't provide any warranty of the product, but their description did not mention about it, after you place an order, you can't cancel it, If you call the customer services, they will blabla a lot but do nothing about it. I think they are lier, the behave is cheating, I will suggest everyone for looking this review, Not buy anything on Gilt. I would like give the review for 0 start.

I ordered a black and white zebra pillow with black stripes all over it. What I got was a tan and black pillow with a totally different stripe pattern and stripes on less than half the pillow. And it is final sale. This is some SERIOUSLY false advertising. I will NEVER order on Gilt again. Be careful, sounds like a common issue with their site and their products are typical final sale / no returns. Now I see why! I will post the photos on Facebook to share with my friends so they can see the scam they are running.

Received a wallet as a Christmas gift, what I received was a card holder. Contacted the person who sent it to me and the order/ receipt they sent even says wallet. Called customer service was told had to go through the person who sent it me the gift to contact them. Just seems tacky to call someone asking them to go through this whole process, the turn around and ask them to purchase something else. I get the concern with theft, but really with a e-receipt I cannot exchange them.

They will refuse to issue your refund back to the payment method used to purchase the exchange item claiming they can "only refund back to the original method of payment" - never mind it's for an exchange, not a return. I think this is a sad / greedy move on their part.

They shipped my order according to their app order tracker. I never received the order and I called them twice to ask for some remedy of any sort, and they refused saying nothing could be done. They didn't and wouldn't refund my money, nor replace the item, or give store credit.

I ordered a cashmere hoodie a few weeks back from Gilt.com. Not only did it take nearly two weeks to arrive but it was clearly used. There were two covid masks in the pocket. The hoodie was full of holes and balled up wool. Clearly it had been worn for a quite a while, returned and sent out, which is gross in usually terms but during a pandemic is completely inappropriate. I will not be ordering from this site again.

Im done shopping at gilt. They may have been one of the first but they aren't the only.
Three weeks for a return to process... YOOKS took 3 days! Gilt shipping and
Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.

I purchased what was supposed to be an 18k gold Armapali textured bangle and I am completely disappointed with it What I received looks like a piece of junk, in fact it looks like dull brass, not gold, but the worst part is it is so small it would only fit over a child's hand plus it bends like a paper clip. The design may be similar but It looks nothing like the picture displayed. Which shows a shiny gold bangle on an adult sized hand! It is completely worthless.
I contacted their customer service and of course they would do nothing since all jewelry is final sale. Needless to say, I just gave Gilt $950 for what is, I repeat, JUNK. Unbelievable.

Bought several underwears from gilt. The inner lining of one of them almost completely came off after 2 times of hand washing. Called up customer support and was told that won't be able to get refund because I had washed it. Well, if I hadn't washed it how would I know it is so poor quality? I received the item in December and called them in January - not to mention the order arrived outside of the estimated window. Both the Rep and her supervisor insisted that it was most likely due to the way I washed it and said I would need to contact the vendor if unsatisfied with the quality of the product. Sounded super rude over the phone. Have spent $2000+ on Gilt and not going to any longer.

I have been shopping on this site for quite some time and have had nothing but good experiences, even with returning items. I get amazing deals, and would highly recommend the site. The only complaint I would have is the fact that shipping is high and that some items are not returnable.

Ordered a Shirt online. First out of stock, then they ship me Towels for some guy in Texas.
I called and emailed customer service and was told basically everyone makes mistakes.
In order to get my shirt, I had to print a label off their site and send the towels back. Once they receive the towels and check the condition... I will receive a refund on my order and then I can re-order the Shirt... WTF... it is all their fault and not only did I not get my shirt, but I am the one that had to go out of my way to ship their mistake back!
I saw some really nice looking items on their site, but with all the comments about their poor customer service and my experience, I am dome with Gilt and everyone else should be too!

Tip for consumers:
NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!!!
