This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.

They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin

There can be some great discounts on amazing brands, but you need to know the quality of the merchant before hand, as they can discount lower end Americal Apparel things (which look great on the models, but the fabric and make is quite cheap), or higher end vintage Hermes bags. They also carry lesser known contemporary designers. The customer service is exceptional in my experience. I had ordered a pair of boots from the site, and they recommended ordering a size up since they thought the style ran a bit small, but that wasn't true for me. Since I live in Canada the return policy was FINAL SALE, but I decided to send an e-mail as it couldn't hurt. And within 1 business day, they started the return, sent me shipping labels to be printed (paid for), and added the smaller size shoe to my cart for 3 days, even though the sale was over. The initial shipment was paid for on a Sunday, packaged, sent out, and received by Canadian Customs on the Wednesday and arrived to my door on a Friday. I received everything within a week, and the packaging was simple and nice. I will definitely do business with them again. They also take care of the customs for you, which is nice.

Before I ordered the Moloft dinning table in July, I'd called Gilt to see if the white glove service delivery date could be postponed till end of August and got "yes" as an answer. Of course after the order was placed, it turned out no, delivery couldn't be postponed. When we finally opened up the package three weeks ago, only to find out the table was already damaged (with a huge dent/cut). I'd sent the picture and they agreed to give me a replacement only if I'd purchase another one. So I'd paid for another one but they'd made it impossible to schedule for a pick up for the damaged table! After countless phone calls, on line chats, I was finally contacted to schedule for the pick up for next week. Now I can only hope they'll do the right thing to give me back the credit once they received the table. Just read someone was having a hard time getting their credit from returns... and who knows how hard it'll be to receive my "replacement" table! I was told by mid November... We will see... I can only hope... horrible! Never again!

I've been a member of Gilt for years, and despite numerous unpleasant experiences with the return policy, exorbitantly long shipping times, and customer service, I gave the site another try and purchased a jumpsuit.

Nearly 3 weeks after I click "Buy" on the site, I finally received a shipping notification, my romper was on it's way. I received a FedEx notification that the romper would be delivered while I was at work. When I returned home, there was no package at my door. The FedEx shipping status said that the package was being returned to sender due to an incorrect shipping address. I checked my order on Gilt, I had entered the same shipping address I always used and it was in fact correct.

I reached out to customer service, they told me that they could not re-route the item back to me. Additionally, they could not guarantee that I could secure the item at this point. I would have to wait for the item to be returned, reposted on the site, and then I would need to re-purchase it to then wait another 3 weeks for it to be delivered.

In a day where Amazon can deliver purchases to you in an hour, I do not understand how companies like Gilt survive. I will never purchase from Gilt again. Let this be the straw that broke the camel's back.

Tip for consumers:
Only purchase items from this site if you are extremely patient and can handle supremely inefficient processes.

I have been the biggest Gilt fan for years. I remember my first pair of white, t-strap Ava & Aiden came from Gilt and I was so happy.

A few years later I noticed the first issue when ordered Rayban aviators. The company full blown forgot to send them to me... just DID NOT send the glasses. Weeks went by before I finally reached out to customer service. They apologized and basically said "whoops".

A few weeks ago I ordered a pair of frayed, dark wash 7 For All Mankind's. A pair of light-wash jeans show up to my office. When I tell them that I need a return BECAUSE THEY SENT ME THE WRONG JEANS they tell me I can buy the right pair again (and have the audacity to say "good news, they're not sold out!") Is this for real? You guys sent me the wrong denim...

So now I'm trying to return this first pair of hideous, light-wash, 80's reject jeans and the return label they directed me to is saying "you do not have any returnable items". This is a hassle as a customer for your company's mistake. Not going through this BS again for a pair of jeans that are $10 less.

** UPDATE - Gilt now tells me they've sold out of the jeans I originally ordered. Definitely going to roast the hell out of these guys...

I do not reccomend Gilt! I bought a dress and the dress doesn't have any zipper or lock poor quality waste of money! The dress in the picture online at Gilt is not the same that you are receiving. BEWARE! DO NOT WASTE TOUR MONEY. Customer service is POOR I've been trying to contact them no response at all and then the telephone number that they provide is not even ringing or working JUST WOW! GILR IS A SCAM WEBSITE

I purchased $200 worth of jewlery from this store, when I went through the check out I changed my address to my current address and proceeded through to the payment, when I checked the receipt it had my old address on there!
Straight away I contacted the customer service team and spoke to 'James' he told me he was unable to change the address but he would cancel the order for me.
Knowing the order was cancel I then made the same purchase using my new address to then get an email 2 days later saying BOTH orders have been shipped!
Ones again I contacted customer service to them be told 'James' gave me the wrong information and orders can't ever be cancelled! So this company had willingly charged me twice and refuse to give me a refund on one item until it shows the package had been received, well I received the second order I made almost a month ago and it is still showing as just 'shipped' as is the original order that was supposed to have been cancelled.
They have offered me no resoultion to this problem even though it is the complete fault of theirs.
I'm currently going through my bank to charge the company with fraud as they refuse to refund me for the first order.
Also the quality of the jewellery is sub par it is supposed to be gold however when wearing the earring I get a reaction instantly which only happens to me when I wear low quality metals such as nickel, as I am allergic.
So many things wrong with this company

One year ago I purchased a Vintage Rolex watch at Gilt. The piece with a certificate of authenticity, condition report and appraised value. Recently I tried to sell the watch at Christies. They found that the face has been repainted instead of replaced and for that the watch it wasn't in original condition. I complaint to Gilt and they asked me this in writing. I took the watch to Rolex USA and they found that the case was rusted, the face was repainted and that the needles are not original. To replace all that and restore the watch to the original state, it would cost $3,400. I paid $ 2,500 but it was appraised (according to Gilt) $6,000.
According to Rolex, that watch should have never been sold as authentic since the repairs were not done by Rolex. That automatically invalids the licensing of the pieces. I sent all that info to Gilt and their answer was, it has been a year, we cannot do anything.

Please never ever buy a vintage watch from Gilt. They don't know what they sell, the certificates they sent do not reflect the condition of the piece and the appraisal is a joke.

You know if I could give this company ZERO stars I would. I placed an order that shows on their website it's a final sale and it's available. After a week of waiting they sent me an email stating my order has been canceled due to the order not being available. Might I add the item is still showing available on their website (WHAT A JOKE). They refunded me the cost of the item but not shipping for $9.95! I called customer service and representative was horrible. She agreed, yes agreed to refund me shipping after going back and forth for dang near 5 minutes! Like what?! Why would I not be refunded for shipping as well if the order never ship? Uh duh. Might I add she advised the items are from 3rd party vendors so they don't know if something is in stock until the order is ready to ship. I asked why wouldn't they remove the item from the website if it's not available? That's false advertisement. The representative gave me a poor excuse. This company is a scam. A joke. I'm sure they make money from people paying for shipping and not receiving their items. Craziness. I've never experienced this before. Maybe they only send out clothes and shoes (according to the reviews) because they for sure don't send any furniture items.

Update: Right after I requested that my order be canceled because the predicted fulfillment date was too far out, I received an email saying that Gilt is so sorry but they cannot fill my order as the item is no longer available. Right. So did they see this review and decide to bail on the order? I think so. It's sort of funny, but the fact is they wasted my time and held my money for too long (or at least the preauthorization for the charge), without ever having the merchandise I purchased on hand! The way they pitch their flash sales is that they have limited inventory, and that there are "only two left!", and so on. But they don't have the stuff in stock, apparently, based on the delay in fulfillment. Very misleading. Very dodgy.

Original review: So I bit of one of their dangled flash sale baits. Purchased some Tom Ford eyeglass frames. Found out only when I have completed the purchase that they won't ship for a month! Totally dishonest sales practices there. Now I see reviews here saying that the site sells fakes, so I am so wondering what I will receive. And when. The delay in shipping is a red flag for this not being a sale of genuine overstock, but knockoffs made to order. I just now went to the Gilt website and looked up my order to see whether I could cancel it. Answer is unclear. So I clicked on return information for my order and it said that "none of the items in your order are eligible for return." The flash sale listing pages had noted all items as eligible for return! Again, totally dishonest business practices.

Shipping for return label would cost me $85 from Europe. It cost $10 to arrive. Costomer service would not let me return items via courier which would cost me $20. Do not order from Gilt. Its a joke.

I received a pair of earrings as a Christmas gift, and although taste is subjective, they were the absolute cheapest looking, tackiest, and cheaply made earrings ever! When I tried to find them on the website, I was unable to, but contacted customer service and they sent me the return form. When I clicked on the link, THEY WEREN'T THE EARRINGS I HAD RECEIVED! And the print out of the picture said that the returned item must match the picture! Now what? I've contacted Customer Service, so far; nothing. I could have been a new Client, but now? Not..

You can get some good deals here but it's hard to get your size sometimes and the returns and shipping aren't the best. But when you do get a good deal its great.

First time with Gilt. I made an order from Australia. I have set my preference on currency as AUD dollars in Gilt preference setting. All the items was priced on AUD after CONVERTED from Us dollars.
I made a purchased which clearly in Aud dollars. Worth $257 after converted from Us Dollars. When I look into my bank account Gilt has taken Us$257 and that lead to $354 Aud dollars. That almost $100 difference.
I have contacted Gilt. And they said the price was set on US dollars. How would that happens. When all items was shown in AUD dollars and to my knowledge I made a purchased on Marked price in AUD Dollars and I should be paid in that price and currency that been shown.
I love online shopping and I never ever have this kind of incident anywhere else. Instead of refund me the difference but Gilt given me 15% OFF NEXT PURCHASE instead. Is this how you solve the problem. And you think that would make me want to order from you again. Come on guy
I will tell all my friends to be aware. Am not happy.

I purchased 2 Predire Paris Moroccan Liquid Gold Vitamin C & E Booster Serum Treatments from Gilt after falling in love with the real product. I gave one as a gift and kept one for myself. When the product arrived I ordered 4 more before I opened the original one that I kept. When I opened the one I kept I was appalled to find that it was not the same color, same consistency, same smell as the real Moroccan Liquid Gold. I still had some of my real product and could compare them. I realized that the bottle looked different and also had no serial number on it. I contacted Gilt and requested that they replace the 6 bottles I've purchased with the real stuff. They advised they don't have real ones to replace them with. I looked online and they are still advertising the product knowing that it is not real. God only knows how many of these and other fake Predire' Paris items have been sold.

They offered to send me a return tag for a refund. I have returned the product and they only credited me for 1 and it wasn't a refund like promised. I called them today and they have noted the account that I want a full refund and not a credit to them. I was advised that it will be another 7-8 days before I get a response and there is a restocking fee that I will be charge. I immediately requested an escalation because I shouldn't be charged anything to return fake product.

I purchased (and received a confirmation of my purchase) on April 21 a Lalique plate for my Mother's Mothers Day gift. (She collects) The confirmation noted that it could not be shipped until the 21st of May. I thought a little unusual but with the COVID-19 disrupting everything including shipping I was able to overlook the time. It was the perfect gift for her and the price was very good. This morning (May 14) I received an impersonal template email with my order information stating, "Unfortunately the item you ordered below is no longer available. We understand this is disappointing and we want to apologize. It's rare, but mistakes can occur that prevent us from getting you your item. We have canceled this order and you will not be charged for it. We value your business, and again apologize for this." How about that - they won't even charge me for something that took them 23 days to say they could not provide. They sold something that either they never had, broke it, but then imply it was a mistake altogether as if they never had it the item. After 23 days I'm told the gift I bought is not available. UNBELIEVABLE And if they are so concerned about my business - good customer relations 101 would be to offer something equitable - nope couldn't even do that. Beware this company. First and last time doing any business with them.

On Friday May 23rd, I was set to receive a bed I purchased on Gilt, turns out that upon delivery the distributor sent two beds and did not include the side rails. After an immediate call while the movers stood around, the Gilt representative said he would look into it and get back with me shortly. On Friday June 6th, gilt finally contacted me letting me know they could not get the side rails from Mitchell Gold and Company. On June 9th, the company refunded me but I am stuck with a bed in my house that is useless, no solution (no bed), and over 4 hours of my time speaking to customer service, etc. In return they also offered me $75 dollars… The fact that there is no solution is the reason I am writing this review. I spent the last two months passing by beds furniture shopping and if I had known how Gilt dealt with problems as they are with this one then I would not have been doing business with them.
In fact, two weeks prior I ran into another issue with Gilt where they advertised over 75 "One of a Kind Taj Pillows" and when I thought I was purchasing two of the same pillows given they showed 75+, I received two different pillows. While Gilt accepted the return, it was still a hassle and they expected one should know that "One of Kind" meant no two pillows were similar.
The overall customer service is poor as Gilt could not come through with the order I purchased and in return offer me a refund and $75. I would understand if this were a table lamp but it's a bed!

I've been disappointed by supposed high end items from Gilt.com a few times. My latest and will be the VERY LAST PURCHASE was the PROCABELL Hurricane Turbo hair dryer and WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! Where's the turbo? It doesn't dry my hair faster, it actually takes longer than my inexpensive dryer does because it just DOESN'T HAVE THE POWER TO! It doesn't even get as hot as my very inexpensive one. Even the cord isn't as long as my inexpensive one. OH, and don't be fooled by the MSPR, Again, there's nothing high end about it! I wish I hadn't waited til past the return date to start using it because it would have been returned immediately!

Tip for consumers:
Google the reviews of what you are buying and also price check other websites that sell the product, you'll most likely find it cheaper AND not have to pay for shipping

I've had such unbelievably bad problems with the support team. For my first experience, my stored email was wrong on my payment account. Okay, my bad. It was eventually fixed, but it took SO many emails to get it fixed. Dealing with the support team is like dealing with that friend who never actually reads the text before responding. All of the necessary details were included in each email, but they just couldn't get it right. Shocking. It was all written out in black and white. I portion of my own job is in customer support so I try to make sure that I give complete and concise information. My second experience with Gilt has been positively atrocious.

First they ignored my first 3 emails for days until I could no longer receive a refund. Then they told me to reach out to the vendor (only a below average support team would ask the patron to reach out to the vendor to resolve the issue). The vendor was accommodating and willing to address the issue and gave me instructions to give to Gilt, however Gilt is not willing to be accommodating. Keep in mind this is for a Gilt City deal in which Gilt says to reach out to them to change the name on the tickets I purchased. I'm requesting a date change due to travel plans. Instead of asking them to change the name, I am asking them to change the dates. There was no price difference between one day and the next and, again, the vendor is accommodating-- Gilt is not. They just aren't worth the hassle.

I ordered some Chortex of England Baroque towels in white and graphite: two bath sheets, and sets of six hand towels and washcloths. I was thrilled at the price, and the towels were exactly what I was looking for. My old bath towels are 63" long, so I was hesitant to replace them with new towels that were only 54", which seems to be standard now. So when I saw the Cortex bath sheets that measure 68", I jumped on them. Unfortunately, the towels never arrived, and when I called customer service, they wouldn't do anything and said the shipment was lost by FedEx. The towels were no longer available. They did give me a full refund, but I wanted the towels! I also called FedEx Customer Service twice, and on my second call was told they have no record of the package. So I don't know if it was ever shipped. I've looked at thousands of towels and these were the only ones I've found that I liked. They are virtually unavailable in the U.S. I am extremely irritated! It'll be awhile before I shop Gilt again!

Beware. These guys ship usps. I had an address change and the usps wanted an additional 20 dollars for delivery which I refused. I emailed them 3 times with the new address and was assured it was going to be reshipped. A month later, still no order. I emailed again only to get the following email Stephen Guinane, Sep 23 10:29:

I'm happy to clarify our shipping options for you. As I look at this order the economy package is being used. Most items ship via UPS but the Economy option ships via UPS SurePost (final delivery made by USPS).

If you select Economy shipping at the checkout and later need to make an amendments to your shipping address or to request a Will Call or other form of interception, we will be unable to do this. Sadly, we only have this option for orders that ship via UPS. USPS may request additional costs if they're able to alter an address in transit.

Apologies for the trouble but next day shipping was not selected at the checkout.

I'm a guilt VIP member they caught the nor program and I'm still treated terrible

I ordered the couch that was six weeks for delivery on the six week they told me the product was never available to begin with that's after they charge my credit card

I then ordered a bed the six week when it was supposed be delivered I called to ask for that was the next plane to me it wasn't available either and was never made to begin with. Turns out it was available and they did ship it well after the date they canceled the order. They were very generous with a $50 credit LOL. Problem is I ordered another bad taking this one wasn't available now I have an extra one I have to deal with returning to these losers

I ordered light brown leather chairs they showed up almost black when asking them about it they told me it was imperfection in leather like I was some kind of idiot. They play these games knowing that it's not likely that you'll return the furniture and that's how they keep their high margins it really should be illegal

I placed an order for two sofas and two livingroom arm chairs on April 15th. I received the two chairs and later one of the the sofas was delivered in May 7th as scheduled by me. When the sofa was deliver I called them to ask where the second sofa was and they said they would take care of it right away and said there had been a mistake. I never received the second sofa. I contacted them via phone call and on Facebook messenger many times, and time after time they promised someone would call me within the next couple of days, and each time they failed to do so. I got the run around since May 7th, I was frustrated and began asking for a refund last week and was told I had to wait until they searched for the sofa. Finally today June 15th they told me they will refund the money for the sofa in 3-5 business days. No one could tell me what happened to the sofa; how do they loose a sofa they said they already had being sent to me? I kept checking the tracking number provided weeks before and they kept reporting bogus status updates. Very disappointing.
