This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.
They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin
Great company with good customer service and friendly staff. The product we will receive will be top notch.
Dane Staunton the customer service specialist I spoke with was fantastic! Thank you for helping with my request!
My experience with GILT has been AWFUL. The first time I experienced an issue with them, should've been the last time I gave them my business. I ordered a Celine handbag from them, it was described as in "excellent condition" and I expected it to be since I paid $2650 for it. Once it arrived, it was not what I expected and the condition was subpar. I immediately contacted them and sent multiple pictures as it had damage in several areas. Their representatives said they wouldn't return it even though it was misrepresented.
Cut to a year and a half later, I decide to give them another chance. I found 2 pairs of shoes that I liked. I ordered them and since I had moved changed my current address. I was prompted to re input my CC info, so I did. I assumed everything was good to go. It had been over a week since the shipment shipped, I clicked on it to track the shipment and they were left at the door of my old address. I immediately contacted them and they basically told me it was my fault and that was the only address they had on file. And that I would have to contact the new tenant, I moved almost 400 miles away. To offer no help, is outrageous.
Their customer service is AWFUL! DO NOT SHOP WITH GILT! Low quality
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE
Not only did the agent fix my incorrect order, he did it quickly and efficiently. I was more than impressed, not to mention very happy.
One of the worst businesses I have ever had to work with. They do not honor any of their vouchers and have horrible consumer relations
The pictures on the sale page is misleading. Got a bracelet and every single beads are stained. Contacted customer service and they refuse to return.
Great customer service and fast shipping. We have ordered multiple times and very happy. Thanks a lot
This was my first experience with Gilt. The merchandise arrived quickly and was as advertised. I will certainly order from them in the future.
Had a few orders now all arrived on time and as discribed, excellent service and price, very satisfied with the products.
Six months after purchase the above item stopped working. Period. Treated it as a lamp: turned it on and off. That's it. On calling to complain they simply said it was purchased too long ago and offered their - apparently standard - $10 credit. Why on EARTH would I buy something ELSE from them? I'm sorry, but six months is simply too short a time for a lamp to stop working. Was it used? Refurbed? Cheap? Don't know, do know I expect more. Based on all the reviews I now read below, this is their modus operandi. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM THEY ARE NOT HONEST MERCHANTS AND DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCTS.
EDIT: ONE MONTH LATER
Whether it was this site or somewhere else, someone at Gilt DID make the decision to contact me, and the result was to refund my money which was very appreciated and let me buy a lovely replacement desk lamp that works perfectly from another site. So I must give them kudos for that. Perhaps it's a case of the squeaky wheel getting the grease or maybe they're having trouble and hoped to help a bad reputation, don't know but they did make it good and deserve to have that shared.
Thanks Alley
Ladies, when it looks too good to be true it probably is. I am incredibly disappointed in GILT with their lack of quality control and authentication practices. I understand that this is supposed to be a FLASH SALE sort of website that offers designer items at discounted prices. I have made several purchases on this site and purchased 3 different types of PRADA pumps/flats. The shoes did not come with any dust bags and I wore one of the pumps 2 times and the GOLD PRADA logo on the bottom sole broke off leaving only ADA on the shoe - mind you this happened identically to both left and right pumps. BOTH broke off at the same exact location. I have inspected all shoes and have paid to get them authenticated and was told that they were not authentic PRADA shoes. I am beyond sad and angry that they are not taking any accountability for marketing counterfeit products and making MAJOR PROFITS on inauthentic items masking them as designer. They should be investigated and now I'm questioning if SAKS Fifth are selling fakes as well...
Sales are just 10-20% off. Returns are difficult and most items are final sale.
Since saks sold it, the service is $#*!ty too.
Their customer service is as bad as Comcast. Avoid them at all costs. I am having to work with my credit card company to get my money back.
I've been using this site for years. The merchandise used to be great, I feel the selection has not been as good in the past year or so,
I ordered a sofa in May. I was charged for the sofa AND received a tracking number. I've now sent three or four emails to Gilt but have no resolution on this.
I've ordered probably close to $50k from Gilt.com over the last few years; I ordered about $15k this year alone. Theor delivery and customer service have both gone very much down hill.
Frequent problems include: items canceled after ordered, items canceled after billed, cancelled but billed items requiring customer interference to receive refund, broken items, very poor packaging of fragile items resulting in absolute damage, snarky customer service, delays in response for customer service, merchandise not as photographed, in-house brand of poor quality, partial cancelation of orders obviously intended as sets (bras/panties, multiple curtains panels, a duo of chairs, bedding sets). Oh... I could go on. And these problems are not anomalies or novelties. They happen all the time.
I ordered in May, was BILLED in May, received a tracking number in May... but I have no sofa (the rest of the items ordered together were delivered and thy have rejected me returning those items. Partial sets AGAIN)
Don't waste your money unless you have a lot of it to lose.
I have been a Noir customer for years. On Nov. 27,2017 I received a Dolce & Gabbana dress ordered on Nov. 21 (costing more than $2000 including tax and delivery charge), and SHOCK, the dress has none of the original tags that one would expect to be attached to a new item of clothing (i. E., the one attached with a string to any new garment; any vendor of new clothing will warn customers that no return would be accepted without one). This dress was sold during a D&G event and said to be "sourced from a trusted Gilt vendor" and was marked non-returnable "due to further price reduction." There was no disclosure anywhere on the site/webpage that such dress is a vintage or used or was missing original tags. By contrast, Gilt regularly hosts what Gilt advertises as "vintage handbag" events and "estate jewelry" events such that any customer would know and expect the items being sold are second hand. However, Gilt was not promoting this specific D&G event as a sale of second-hand/vintage items. Furthermore, several years ago I purchased a Dolce & Gabbana dress from Gilt (for around $1000) and it came, as one would expect, all original tags properly attached and a D&G hanger. I reached out immediately to Gilt to ask about why this dress came without any original tags and whether it was used/second-hand. During a whole week of back-and-forth, Gilt kept saying "we stand behind the authenticity" of the dress, but would not say whether this dress is new (as one would have expected unless the vendor has specifically told you it is used). Gilt also says because it said it is non-returnable, I cannot return it. This is bait-and-switch and patent fraud, given the lack of honest disclosure/representation upfront about this item. Judging from the other recent comments, it looks like dishonesty has become the recent trademark of Gilt. How low has the Company fallen, for a company where the wife of an ex-colleague of mine had a hand in co-founding.

I ordered a Tom Ford designer bag from Gilt. It came with no straps although there are permanent hooks for a strap. They refused to refund the bag or provide the straps. They advertised the bag as "strapless" although it can be worn with a strap. The bag cost $1,500 and looks weird without the shoulder straps. They refused a refund or exchange and when I went through a dispute with my credit card AmEx, I was told there was nothing that can be done because of Gilt's no refund policy on designer items, DONT EVER BUY HERE. They get slightly damaged designer bags and sell them to the public using their no refund policy and that how they get us, They are never available to talk to you and ask you to call them back and take days to refund your call. Customer service here is unbelievably nonexistent. They will continue these practices until you the customer stand up and stop buying, especially designer items. I plan to file a authencity complaint with the FBI and attorney generals office. I want a refund or my money back. I will continue filing everywhere until something is done. This is wrong. Strapless means there are no hooks. Strapless does mean it has permanent hooks for a shoulder strap that was not provided. I will never be able to resell this designer bag without the straps. I doubt if Tom Ford makes this bag at all. If so, where are the straps. I am also filing complaints in their country through the attorney general's office. I don't plan to just accept this because it is wrong. It would cost them nothing to exchange the bag for something else, yet they refuse to do so. Write letters to the U.S. commerce Department and other authorities. Get help from these agencies to file legal complaints in their country.
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy here. They simply do not care after the purchase.

Many times I order things here and I am always satisfied! Pleasant managers, excellent quality and fast delivery, everything comes on time
I have ordered from this site several times and they have never disappointed, delivery is always on time and good customer service.
Hard to get through to customer service. I was on hold for 40 minute. And when I actually got to talk to someone he was very rude and condescending.
Charged me and did not send my package. No refund, then when I called their customer service they charged me £70 MORE. This site is a SCAM!
What you order is not what you will receive. Terrible quality and terrible customer service. My jewelry tarnished and turn my skin black.
Tip for consumers:
Do not waste your money, you will not receive what you order they Will send you fake things, knock offs.
Products used:
I used everything I purchased but it turned in less that 1 week. I used them twice.
Exactly what I was hoping for. Fast delivery, excellent pricing, thoughtful designs. Couldn't be happier. I recommend.
Gilt is a flash sales site that sells designer clothing, handbags, shoes, home furnishings, and vacation packages.
Hi Tong,
I'm so sorry to hear of your discontent here, it seems like the bracelet you ordered was not as expected. If you'd like to private message me your order details, I'd be happy to give it a second opinion.
Warmest Regards,
