This is a fun site. It seems that there are great deals to be had. But I ordered an oriental style rug described as 100% wool. When it arrived it was almost threadbare, of poor quality and non-returnable. Won't do that again.
They advertised the red rouge bottle. I received some remake fake yellow stuff... And I paid $12 shipping. It is a scam... beware... see pics below... i am pretty good in detecting scams and did not detect this one. Because they did seem legit, but sent counterfeit product. Konstantin
I have had so many problems with them and their merchandise, I dont know where to start. They are thiefs in my opinion. I made the stupid mistake of ordering again from them thinking it would be different. It was even worse. These people need a good class action lawsuit to set them straight. Also I plan on reversing my credit card charge for not receiving the items as advertised (there were 2 of my 3 items that were missing major items). I hope this review helps someone, and that Karma will take its fury on them.
I bought from Gilt a couple of times in January. It's alright... it's really popular so you can't take your time to decide, and they only give you 10 minutes once something is in your cart. Popular brands get sold out really quickly, and shipping is also slooow. But I've never had any real problems with it that would make me have to go through customer service.
After ordering a black friday special deal--extra 40% off*(read the fine pint) limited quantity, I researched the product to find that the only company offering this "luxury" brand is gilt. No way to compare price or quality until the product is received. Gilt started out offering high quality designer labels at great prices and has morphed into a big box online store hawking its own goods under another name. Stay away.
Gilt Customer Service doesn't respond to concerns, they answer with a pre written text about what Gilt is, which has nothing to do with the original question.
I don't like Gilts Return management. "Pay return shipping or keep the money on the account... I will spend this money and then I will move to another Company.

Placed an order on August 17th, still have not received it. Estimated delivery day is September 10th, almost a month to ship a package from two states away and that's after paying $10 for shipping. If you want to ever get the items you paid for, choose another company. Totally not worth it.
I purchase a pair of Tod s leather croc espadrille last January 9 and check out and pay at borderfree. I have not received the item until now Feb 8. I'm very disappointed. Thank God the item only cost AUS 376. I will never order from this site again.

Studded Leather Saddle Bag for $349.99. Saved a few dollars on sale. We shipped it off to her in Austrailia where she was an exchange student. The bag came with the strap missing. When we found out and contacted the company... they told us tough. We were outside the ten day return return period I am therefore sueing the company in our small claims court for $350... breach of contract... they did not give us what we paid for. Pathetic we have to go this route but so be it. They can hire a lawyer and defend.
Spent $130 on a pair of Jamie Young marble bookends from a store that claims to deal in high-quality items. An "all sales final" item, but if the bookends looked anything like the gold-veined grayish white in the pictures it was worth the risk. Bad decision - they looked nothing like the pictures, just two nondescript slabs of brownish stone - I could have found something nicer in the paving stones at Menards. Completely unpolished, no gold veins, and just too plain ugly to serve as anything other than ballast. No wonder it was a "final" sale - and in my case, truly final. Fool me once...

I have been a frequent customer almost 3 years not and have been pretty happy with what I purchased but recently I have some troubles with my orders.
#1. Refun/return takes a long time and in order for you to process faster, you need to contact them.
#2. Ordered 3 paris of jeans within a month and there was no tag, no sealed plastic bag it usually comes with.
The other one came with a little sneaky patch inside the jean which you can't tell from the outside which I've never experienced before.
Someone ordered it and tried them and got ripped send it back to them, they patched it and re-sold.
#3. They seem like selling same stuff over and over again. Most of jeans, shirt, coats, boots I purchased them last year.
Check out your local Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, Marshall.
They have better deal on jeans and T-shirts, shoes.
Ordered pants, received shorts. Returned shorts the next day with label printed from their site. Label address was in Kentucky. Tracked package. Package arrived in Kentucky then sent to Illinois which then returned it to Kentucky. Called customer service (X4) who responded "we will process your refund when merchandize arrives at warehouse". 30-days later. No refund posted. Reported to Chase Credict Card, let them handel it. My advise, do not order. Your savings on the merchandise will be used for purchasing aspirin for all the headaches that this company will cause you.

Do not order. Worse customer service possible. Even if company sent the wrong merchandise, prompt return will not get a refund to CC. Beware.
Purchased Balpearl Baroque Fresh Water Pearls. Upon arrived, I noticed that color was completely off. I complained. No response. This week, a mere 1 month later, the pearls fall apart! Really? $1050 down the drain. Stay away.
After various emails, a manager did fix the issue with the late shipment / wrong item. My credit card was credited the full amount and $50,00 credit was put into my GILT account. I no longer need to return the item. I do love the products offered on GILT, but am sorry to see the decline in what was attentive and excellent customer service.
GILT went from a great company to a shady one that can be difficult to deal with. I ordered a $600 hanging lamp and was not shipped during the designated time period. When I contact gilt to cancel the order, it was shipped out the next day. This was despite the fact that I had explained that I was no longer at the shipping address. By this time I had to forward the box once it arrived to my new address which is overseas. Unfortunately, rather than shipping out the hanging light I'd order, the product that shipped was a cheap clock, that was broken. By this time I'd already paid my credit card bill. I sent various photos of the product, in the box, with the shipping label as asked by GILT customer service. Rather than refund my purchase, GILT asked me to first return the box with the bogus product. So all of the risk of the box making it back to GILT and going through GILT return process is on me. Plus I need to wait for a refund. This would have never happened with the old GILT before it was sold to Saks.
Impossible to find out how to return an item. Worst waste of my time ever. I am sending this back to the address on the original label shipped to me, and contacting my credit card company, and disputing the charge. Would NEVER do business with GILT again.

The "deals" on this site are no better than you'd find at Century 21 or even Loehmann's. And at those places, you don't have 2 pay for shipping, then wait 3 weeks for your stuff to get to you. Plus, you can return anything you don't like. Gilt clearly built a business on really agressive marketing... But the shopping experience kinda sucks... So not worth the hassle!
Best place for shopping high end designer items. Tell me where you can find a Hickey Freeman suit for $500? Canali anyone? These are clothes that lasts forever. I do agree on complaints regarding their return policy and not receiving correct items. One time they sent me a women's cashmere sweater instead of a Tie that I ordered. I called them and they immediately credited my account back then reserved my tie in my cart while sending me a paid return label for me to send it back. I'm happy with them and can't wait til order my new W Hotel mattress and save save save!
I have ordered many items from them over the years and I find that they do ship within 3-4 days of placing the order, except during Christmas time where I had to wait for one month to get an order! I have gotten some amazing designer deals like Missoni, Emile et Rose etc at a fraction of the cost. All of the items that I have received were authentic contrary to some of the reviews on this site that they are selling fake items. If I have any problems customer services has been quick to resolve the issues promptly as well. However, I do agree that their return policy and speed leaves much to be desired. I love this site and will continue shopping here...
Gilt sent the wrong size sweater and it is "nonreturnable." I spent 45 minutes on hold waiting to discuss this with customer service however, they never answered; and live chat is unavailable. There is also no email service. Too much work. Let's hope I can a refund to my credit card. This would only be fair.

In regards to the sweater, I have created a return label that is now available in your Gilt account for you to return this for a full refund back to your original method of payment. At first I was weary as I have had some great online experiences, and some horrible ones! The first agent I dealt with did not make me feel to comfortable. However, upon speaking with several others, and the online team, and their great detail of the product and knowledge was so important for clothes being ordered, I felt quite confident. The product did not take a very long time to arrive, it was in great shape and I was extremely satisfied with the product, but more importantly is also the customer service. What a great team. This lets me def promote you on social media and in this day and age of word of mouth, treating customers well, goes a long way.

Don't buy from GILT!
First products are way overpriced and then look like they are discounted, but the price is still higher than it normally sells for. The customer service is really bad, they don't stand behind the quality of their product. If the products breaks or is defective from the first use they will not return or refund. Basically they sell you poor quality items and when you know about it, it is too late to return.
It is a scam like many reviews already stated it.
I ordered one furniture on Dec. 2017 and status said it delivered but never shipped and keep delay for over 6 month. And they said they can't give any update before Aug. 2018. Can't believe one ordered delay more than 6 month and still they don't know when they can make it. Finally I cancel my order today. Then should not sell something that they can't ship in 6 month!
And Service representative doesn't know anything and never call back!

HORRIBLE, horrible horrendous horrendous (x100) shopping site.
The prices on the actual goods are way marked up; e.g. I compared on other sites. The prices for some of the goods are more expensive (apparently discounted) than the RRP.
They also scam you on shipping and falsely advertise a 'flat rate' but when you don't buy above a certain amount; the shipping 'automatically' increases.
Stick to the more reputable online sites which there are plenty of... don't waste your time and money with GILT. Doesn't get any worse than this!
I've never ordered on there yet and glad I haven't. I was looking at Hermes Birkins and Kelly bags, however there were very many key features in the photos that unmistakably screamed fake. Wow I would not risk buying that on there, or any luxury item now for that matter. They are relatively new shopping site, but they wont last long. They will be caught eventually.
I received a email with a 20% off code went to there site made a purchase. I did this within one hour of receiving the email. Tried using it was told it expired, even attempted to modifying my order using their button both times it didn't work. I immeaditally emailed them regarding this received a reply sorry nothing we can do. Any one that has used Amazon, Zappos or My Habit would tell you that there response sucked. Sorry I will no longer be using Gilt. Really poor customer service.
I ordered a beautiful, bright white table and one of the legs was chipped- black spot showing. I sent a photo and was given a partial refund.
Any time I call/email, the customer service is excellent, even when the problem can't be solved, although it almost always is resolved. I know if I buy something and there's a problem you care about fixing it. THANKS

There is zero customer service - ZERO. I ordered 2 Bonjour 12-cup coffee presses. Received 1. Contacted customer service immediately and emailed, per their request, pictures of the box, label and single item in the small shipping box on Oct 4. On October 8, I had had no acknowledgement of my concern (even filled out their online concerns form) so called again only to find out that no ticket had been opened by the agent on Oct 4th - allegedly. But they did have my email. Customer Service rep opened ticket - said he marked it urgent and said they'd get back to me w/i 4 business days. Well Crickets to that. Didn't even load the $10 for my trouble gift he claimed he would place in my account. Customer Service agent on Oct 12th says no record of any calls, emails or Live Chats prior to Oct 8th so I have to wait another 1-5 business days. But he did acknowledge the email which is dated Oct 4th. Run Away before you consider doing business with this company.
