I tried to make my first purchase and continuously failed because their system had a glitch and kept charging me $0 which froze my debit card. I tried to even register and use a different email and still couldn't complete my purchase. After I contacted them via email (since they do not have a phone number listed on their website). Mandy accused me of fraud. She never bothered to ask me what happened or provide any customer service. Thanks for putting my account on Fraud and freezing my debit card with your fake charges.
This is my second review as the first one wasn't so favorable but this one I am happy to say is from a satisfied customer. In the last couple of years they have gone out of their way to make their customers feel appreciated far from the days when they didn't feel that everyone had a voice. I recommend them highly as this is a wonderful opportunity for others to be able to see plays or go to events at half the cost. 5 Thumbs up Goldstar.
I ordered tickets to see Hamilton in Miami for my wife and I. We saw there was a closer venue to us in West Palm so we decided to go there instead. When I went to get a refund for the tickets they refused to do so. I asked for a refund within 12 hours of purchase. They were rude and unprofessional making up there refund policy in order to rip me off. I will NEVER use Goldstar again.

We are Red Velvet members which means we pay a premium to get ripped off even more! The policy says that we are supposed to cancel, however we bought show tickets that were four months in advance and they refused to let us cancel. This happened twice. Plus, we requested another refund and they refuse to return money back to our accounts. They are frauds. They don't publicize policies and send out dummy links in their emails. Please people, don't let yourselves continue to get screwed. Complain to government aithorities that protect the consumer.
Bought a Groupon for tickets that were supposed to be fulfilled by Goldstar. I purchased them, got a confirmation and several days later received an email from them that they were cancelling my tickets because there were no 2 seats together. They said I could expect a refund in 10 days. I went on the website to look for myself and the same tickets I bought were now being sold at 3 times the price. Do not do business with Goldstar!
Terrible customer service. I am not someone who complains in general... but when a customer service rep can not help or lead you in the right direction and on top of it responds rudely, I will take the time out to tell others. I had tickets to a rained out Yankee game, and could not get straight answers. I was able to get straight to the point answers from Yankees' customer service in minutes.

Purchased a St Patrick's Day cruise and on the boat purchased drinks for $18 each which was high but doable but when we went to sit down, we're told we would have to pay $150 to sit. So we asked if there was anywhere we could sit during the 3.5 hour cruise and the girl apologized saying it would be even more upstairs. So we went to the second deck to find there was a tiny corner we could lean on but would have been frozen solid after standing there and the fact we couldn't sit down at any point had us exit the cruise before departure. We spoke to the manager and he was not at all interested saying, "why will you want to sit, you will wanna dance". There was no mention of that. So not only did we lose what we paid but it cost us a fortune for the taxi to and from and the cocktails we threw away to get off the boat before departure. Will never buy from Goldstar again.

Ordered tickets for King Richard's Fair the night before we were going. Waking up the next morning we did not have the tickets yet. I emailed, texted, and instant messaged. I did not receive a response "we are working on it" until 7:30 a.m. Received another email at 9:23 saying "they were still working on it". I continued contacting them from 6:30 a.m. until we left for the event at 9:45. They finally sent an email at 10:18 as we arrived at the event, saying they couldn't figure out what happened but to bring my confirmation email as well as a photo ID to one of the ticket windows and they would be able to get us in. Luckily I was prepared with these items from my own thought process. An email arrived at 11:05 when we had already been in the event for 35 minutes! Ugh, too much effort on my part to save a little bit of money.
My receipt clearly stated I paid VIP which would be section 11 or 13, also stated on reservation. The emailed tickets today are section 117. The event is Sat at MGM /Nitro Circus. There is no number to call and I sent an email.
This is the greatest website ever. I see SO many shows on the cheap with this site. I haven't upgraded to their premium membership (because basic seems just fine) but sometimes I consider if just to see how much better it can be. A love it. And I can't wait for their emails so I can get ideas for what shows to see. You won't regret signing up for this.

Very accommodating, customer service will go that extra mile to help you if you need to change tickets, cx tickets find out info about parking at a particular venue. They respond withing a very reasonable amount of time. I dealt with Justin and he was extremely helpful.
I got myself so confused with trying to use credits and a gift card and pay the balance and he was able to sort things out and I got my tickets. Highly recommend Goldstar!

I am simply trying to peruse theatrical events in New York City and get this annoying pop-up (Welcome to Goldstar. Tell us a little about yourself. We're going to help you find great events nearby. First, would you like to see events in the New York area?) First of all, I do not need to tell you about myself. Second of all, I can pick and choose myself, and I don't need to be guided like I'm a toddler. The truly strange thing is that I had just purchased a ticket for an event and went back to look for events for other times. I don't need to sign up, and prefer not to. What kind of adolescent nonsense is this to even think that something like that is acceptable? I will try this site again, and hopefully this ridiculous pop-up goes away, but it truly made me furious.
I have been requesting a refund for tickets i can not use because of vaccination requirements. I am being told to sell or give away my tickets. This is NOT RIGHT OR LEGAL. I will never use this company again. And in the process of contacting legal aid to sue. I spent hundreds of dollars for these tickets and was told by a employee their to sell them or give them away. That is unacceptable service!

I have spent the better part of a day trying to book seats for Penn and Teller at the LV Rio. There is a reason that you are warned that Goldstar will not give you a refund for this venue. Communication between Goldstar and the Rio is zilch.
I have used Goldstar for years very happily until now. Just beware of their own warnings that you cannot get a refund!
I have been a member of Goldstar for several years and as a result I have been able to enjoy a wealth of entertainment activities at a reduced rate. I have seen countless plays, musicals, pops activities etc. I'm a Red Velvet member which brings added benefits... great seats, prompt service at a great value. The customer service is absolutely the best... the staff are service oriented and prompt, responsive and just nice folks. I have saved a ton of money by using Goldstar which has enabled me to attend numerous activities... great bang for you buck! I love checking out the "My tickets" section of their website because I love having an bunch of awesome activities to look forward to. Goldstar makes my day...

Good service and for the most part good prices BUT on occasion fees can be vey high and can negate value. Fees have occasionally made it cheaper to buy from venue directly. Otherwise my experience has been fine but one must be careful.
At first it was great, the tickets came at a great price. Then I asked for in exchange because I made a mistake on the ticket purchasing and they continued to tell me there was nothing they could do to help me. I will never use this app again. They only bring your hopes up to bring it down again. I do not recommend.

I had bought tickets through Goldstar (at half price!) but a few days before the performance, my friends had to deal with a family emergency that meant they wouldn't be able to attend. Although I knew the tickets were non-refundable, I saw the notice on the Goldstar site saying to contact them with ANY problem -- so I emailed. Amazingly, a customer service rep responded within minutes. The bad news was that Goldstar had already turned in the final tally to the theater and thus were financially liable to the theater for the tickets -- so no refunds or credits were possible. HOWEVER, the rep voluntarily called the theater and asked if they'd be willing to let us shift to an alternative, non-Goldstar performance later in the month. Within an hour, we were all set with a different date -- saving me $180. Many thanks to Goldstar and to the theater!

Customer service was amazing. **5 star.** Took care of my error, ate the tickets and refunded my money. This is what I look for when selecting a vendor, great support. I am now a lifer.

Price was listed at $40 on site and changed to $50 when checking out. I bought two tickets and was highly unsatisfied being that I had to print them out. The technology seems to be outdated. I've been scanning tickets off my phone for years. When I got to the venue and opened my tickets they informed me at that point that they must be printed. I missed 30 minutes of the show due to having to find somewhere to print them. I was very unsatisfied with gold star to say the least.
Run, don't walk to Debra Ehrhardt's new one woman show, "Cocktails!" It is a glorious, joyous paean to a young woman's passage through the confusion of first love, the mysteries of sex, and undying ties of family. Through it all, Ehrhardt exhibits perfect comedic timing, and her audience willingly travels with her as she tells the stories of her emotional and physical growing up first in Jamaica and then in the United States. Ehrhardt's humanity shines through, and her warm-hearted and funny storytelling keeps the audience involved and entertained. A must see play!
They advertised rear orchestra seats for the Met Opera Romeo and Juliette and ehen we got there the seats where in a screening room with a screen and loud people. The stars meant to headlining didn't even headline that night. When I emailed customer service they said there was nothing that they could do. Awful service
Minneapolis/St Paul has many small theater groups, and GoldStar seems to know what's going on with all of them, as well as the big theaters. I once used GoldStar to help a coworker find something special at the last minute for an anniversary he forgot. As a single person, there's no stigma in buying just one ticket. I've also arranged adventures for groups of friends. The website is easy to use and if there's ever a problem (even if it was my mistake), their customer service is second to none.

Goldstar is a joke of a company. They bait and switch your tickets; then, they refuse to refund the tickets. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen. The prices aren't even competitive. You can get most of these tickets from Groupon and Groupon stands behind their products. I would personally trust Craigslist over these crooks. My personal goal now is to make sure nobody else gets screwed over like I did. I am now out a few hundred dollars now. Do not under ANY circumstance buy anything from this scam site. Every time I bought something from them, they have scammed me one way or another. The least the crooks here could do is refund me. Pathetic.

We provide a number of advisories about these tickets to make sure that the information is very clear and available prior to completing your purchase.
In this case, the quantity available was limited to 1 with the note that stated "This offer is only available in a quantity of 1" along with the additional Advisories and Restrictions: For this event, in order to be seated together, you must buy all of your party’s tickets in a single transaction. Separate orders can’t be grouped together, purchases can’t be cancelled, and tickets can’t be added to a purchase once it has been completed.
In the best interest of all of those involved, I've canceled your tickets and issued full refunds back to your credit card.

I was a huge fan of Goldstar untill I had to purchase really important tickets from them. My daughter's Hot Chocolate Nutcracker performance used GS. I purchased the tickets as soon as they were available. It had been two months and I still have not received my tickets. The site says that the tickets will be availability 24 hours before the event. The crazy part is that everyone we know already received their tickets in the same section through Goldstar. I emailed customer service about it and received and extremely curt response basically restating that I will get them in 24 hours. Very unprofessional. I am big on concerts and seat location. I rather pay the extra and get the tickets directly from the venue. Very happy customer turned into a very disappointed customer.

You are always guaranteed to be seated within the section that you purchase.
